  1. smh. One yard pass?
  2. Losing Mosely made an enormous difference.
  3. It's old school (Pittsburgh) vs. new school (Pats). And old isn't looking too good right now....
  4. Anybody playing well any time in the NFL is impressive...
  5. Man, New England with actual receivers this year. That has to be illegal, right?
  6. Wilson's 1" taller...
  7. Barring injury, may as well start fitting NE for rings again...
  8. IIRC, Wilson takes a really deep drop a lot of the time. It may give him a better angle to see over the line...
  9. He did, but I was not impressed with DET's secondary. One thing that he'll probably always struggle with is balls being batted down at the LOS if he doesn't have good throwing lanes (like that last series in OT)....
  10. The side judge did have the best view--yet IIRC, Gore's back was to him as he tried to squeeze through the line. So how he could see the football well enough to make that kind of call is questionable to me...
  11. Singletary threw the block that allowed Allen to score. Heads up play for a rookie who had a memorable debut...
  12. He gives them a lot of confidence, for sure. No panic in him, unlike Gase (needed more smelling salts apparently).....
  13. Too bad The Apprentice isn't on anymore...he'd be perfect for that show. Maybe if this football thing doesn't pan out he could get a job in the WH...
  14. My fervent hope is that AB gets to play pitch and catch with Kaepernick this year...
  15. Every year the league seems to be more Hard Knocks-ified. The actual games seem less and less important...
  16. I'm not sure how you figure Vic was shading anything. He asked questions and let Beane do all the talking. I thought Beane was refreshingly honest throughout the article, as he's been since he came here. He was (truthfully, I believe) saying they hope Josh takes the next step this year but, right now, that's really an unknown. He'll have to prove it on the field. I like a GM that doesn't try to blow smoke up my ass. We--and McBeane--will just have to see how it plays out...
  17. Who cares about 2016??? This is the Not For Long league we're talking about. What somebody else did in the past is a fart in the wind when it comes to the future. Here's why Chucky was hired, aside from Mark Davis' somewhat odd man crush on him... 2017: Tm W L W-L% PF PA PD MoV SoS SRS OSRS DSRS AFC West Kansas City Chiefs* 10 6 .625 415 339 76 4.8 -1.3 3.4 3.8 -0.3 Los Angeles Chargers 9 7 .563 355 272 83 5.2 -1.5 3.6 -0.3 4.0 Oakland Raiders 6 10 .375 301 373 -72 -4.5 -0.2 -4.7 -3.0 -1.8 Denver Broncos 5 11 .313 289 382 -93 -5.8 -0.9 -6.7 -3.9 -2.9 Schedule & Game Results Score Offense Defense Expected Points Week Day Date OT Rec Opp Tm Opp 1stD TotYd PassY RushY TO 1stD TotYd PassY RushY TO Offense Defense Sp. 18. Mostly, being late with the ball, not keeping his eyes downfield and freelancing when it seemed he didn't have to. Looks like he was rusty, the same as Rogers was in Q1. Props to Pettine and the GB defense, though. That's the first time in many years that I've seen them they play stout (really impressed with their secondary--no wonder Josh Jones was b-wording about playing time)...
  19. It's actually Marvin. But like Bluto, don't stop him when he's on a roll...
  20. Take it up with the players. They're the ones who pick these guys...
  21. And yet, it happens over and over and over. It probably happened back in Fred Flintstone's day, when Mr. Slate hired Knute Rock-knee to make the Bedrock Buffalo's into more of a running team...
  22. Thanks! That does send chills up my spine and make the hair stand up on the back of my neck. Can't wait til' Sunday......
