  1. Why isn't the freaking draft tomorrow... why!?
  2. Are draft plans? Oi... But no, it won't change our draft plans, because we'll still go CB in 3rd or 4th.
  3. He likes knocking people over... He's good in my book!
  4. Crap. We have two of the highest paid DE's in the league... but we should get that Harvey guy so we can have another! Hmm... Mendenhall is still on the board, we should pick him up to prevent him slipping... Langston Walker and Jason Peters? Might want to snag that Jeff Otah character Donte Whitner... buuuuuuut... since he has value... Kenny Philips. Kawika Mitchell, Paul Posluszny, Angelo Crowell... Nah. Let's bolster the Special Teams with Keith Rivers. No thanks, I'd rather have a halfway decent offense this year rather than build up an already solid defense that has 1 mediocre need at a rotational corner. What I'M saying is at 11, you're not in the Top Ten (god I sound like John Madden), where top value is IMO verified. Who's to say that a CB isn't a reach at 11 either? I don't think there's such thing as a reach. If you need a WR, and they won't be there in the second where you are, then you get the best you can, and since we already have a solid CB group, there's no need grabbing one in the first round and letting solid #2 recievers fall. I hate arguing this, but there's nothing better to do in the offseason.
  5. Another well put post crayonz ... On a real note, I'll go with Hasselbeck. Not a mobile kind of guy, but doesn't get nervous in the pocket whatsoever. Has some nice zip on his passes and if he needs to move, he'll move.
  6. You pick the best player at the position of your need. That is why you have a high draft pick. What's our biggest need? WR. We will take WR at 11 if we don't trade down. If we trade down? Then... Our first pick will be WR.
  7. I was reading 2 draft magazines today in Giant Eagle (the local Grocer) and BOTH said that DRC has bust written all over him.
  8. Cough Mock Cough
  9. Astrobot you may know this, but when do we find out what Compensatory picks we get? I saw that you have a second 4th and a third 7th. Do you know something we all dont!? Haha
  10. Shh... logic hurts people around here. Have a beer, sit back, and laugh my friend. He was a 3rd rounder, btw.
  11. On NFL Network, haven't seen it in a long, long time, should be fun. And, of course, first play of the game, "Steve... Tasker makes the tackle!"
  12. Well said. I billieve that in our position we most certainly want to stock-pile early round picks in order to get quality starters/backups that can immediately take the field. The way I see it is, we have a solid O-Line, a stable quarterback, two great running backs and a solid backup, a great #1 reciever and 2 great slot recievers, a solid D-Line, great LB corp, great safeties, and a good depth at corner. This leaves our glaring weaknesses at #2 WR, recieving TE, FB, and Corner. A lot of people think we need a DE. I may agree for depth/rotational purposes, but that's it, we don't need a bonafide #1 DE causing havoc in the $ we've already shelled out to our defensive ends. Early on? Most certainly, but not above the third round IMO. I think that the only two positions that could be feasible at #11 are WR and Corner, the former being the most glaring. In this scenario, then you most certainly take either TE or WR/CB off the board in round two, and fill depth holes at DT, DE, LB, OL, and FB. I just don't like the idea of waiting it out until the second and see who "falls" to us. Falling isn't good, rising is. I, personally, see Derek Schouman as a great candidate for our FB situation, since he's not the size of a prototypical TE but has the hands and can push blockers out of the way. Just my 2 cents...
  13. What is the #1 thing that the Bills need right now: A legitamite offense. What would help that offense the most right now: A legitamite #2 reciever. What pick do the Bills have in this draft to fix that glaring hole? #11. So... the logical thing to do would be pick the best wide reciever available at #11... "But, but... why not wait until the second round and see who's there!?" Why? The point of having a high draft pick is so that you can get whatever player you want and need that hasn't been taken yet. I don't think people understand that on this board.... I should've put this in the we will NOT draft a WR thread but I'm just running circles in my head here.
  14. I'll one up you and say Kordell Stewart
  15. Man I can't wait for the draft... Just to end it.
  16. Dolphins or Raiders I feel.
  17. Glad someone agrees with me on that. The additions of Jenkins and Pace will hurt us, but Faneca is on the downside of a career. I watch almost all the Steelers games every year (I live here) and he's part of the reason that Roethlisberger is on the run a lot. Richardson is another 50/50 addition, and Chatman is also a little hit or miss. Again, it's all up in the air. It could be devestating, or it could end up with a 10-6 record.
  18. Beat me to it. I lost all respect in this guys picks when he said that. You just can't butcher a name like that and me still have respect for you.
  19. Check out the other articles listed on the side... "Did the Bengals blow it with Palmer?" "Bills gamble on McGahee, upset Henry" "Jaguars jump at chance to get Leftwhich" "Falcons get there man in DB Scott" Oh what a tangled web we weave... does this mean now WE have our man in DB Scott?
  20. Everybody calm down... everyone knows my mock is the best... Check the sig people, and enjoy.
  21. My thoughts exactly! They probably make him ride in a short bus to games too... By the way... I thought we were running Roscoe out of town at the moment? Or has that gone by?
  22. Was her last name Irwin? What... too soon?
  23. No way sir. Spencer > Tim. Even though my name is Tim...
