  1. "fled the scene" Looking at 2015 in isolation given what they have to work with it was a good draft .. Kyper's wrong on that. A+ But when you assess it the proper way 2014/15 together over 2 years given the picks we gave up, it wasn't so good. B- Of note we got: 2014 Likely legit #1 WR Starting LB Depth @ tackle 2015 Starting DB, IMO top tier Upgrade at Guard (huge position of need)
  2. (CNN) — Police rescued a 101-year-old man from under the rubble of his home on Saturday, one week after an earthquake hit his country, Nepal Police spokesman Kamal Singh Bam told CNN. The elderly man, identified as Funchu Tamang, is in stable condition and police do not know how he survived or the extent of his injuries. http://cnnphilippines.com/world/2015/05/04/101-year-old-man-rescued-a-week-after-Nepal-quake.html
  3. I can understand the disappointment, but Pac and his trainer sound delusional and foolish....... For the fight, Mayweather landed 148 of 435 punches (34 percent) while Pacquiao suffered through one of his worst offensive performances, connecting on just 81 of 429 blows for a paltry 19 percent against one of boxing's all-time great defensive fighters. Pacquiao thought he should have gotten the decision. "It's a good fight. I thought I won the fight," he said. "He didn't do anything. He moved outside. I got him many more times with a lot of punches, and I thought I won the fight; I was never hurt. I was very surprised at the scores." "I thought we pulled it out," Roach said.
  4. Congrats Money!!! 48-0 Short list all time greatest
  5. I agree smith has a lot of proving to do. Not sure why they think he's such a steal and so certain to be an impact player. Just as easily be Stephen hill part 2
  6. He wasn't offered a contract that he didn't sign. He went UDFA. How long can the league bind him per the 2015 draft rules?
  7. La'el collins
  8. CFL for a year or two? If they'd even have him. What a sorry state for a guy who likely had nothing to do with it. Really hate the NFL's "guilty until proven innocent" mind set. Its extending now to players who haven't even been charged with anything
  9. As long as its permitted, why not? This is an unusual situation
  10. I see there's an $80k limit on udfa signing bonus but I see nothing on salary http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/05/05/teams-have-80362-for-udfa-signing-bonuses/
  11. This guy was easy 1st round pick. Until just weeks before the draft an ex girlfriend is murdered in a city he wasn't even present. Police want to interview him and say he's not suspect ....pretty much SOP. And the league blackballs him? So the guy says screw it, I'm innocent and if I'm not drafted in top 3 rounds I'm not playing. Its my understanding if we draft him now in 7th per the CBA we could only pay him 7th round money, which he won't accept. Assuming he goes undrafted, how about offer him a free agent contract with the 3rd money he wants, but make it heavily incentive-laden on him not becoming a defendant in the murder case? Saves face for him that he gets paid what he thinks he's at least worth, and if he's innocent than the out clauses won't matter. Bills pickup 1st round talent in position of need, and quite possibly get a pro bowl caliber stud at a deep discount Doug, get er done!
  12. She looks like fun, too. Lot of personality like her dad
  13. 1st rd talent > 5th + 6th + 7th Actuall to make it happen I'd throw in next year's 3rd. Then tell Collins it did cost us 3rd round + to get you. Stroke his ego and allow him to save face so he'd play.
  14. trade our remaining picks to get in 4th and take collins
  15. Given our remaining need for more options on the line, and Rex's comments about hard roster to make, I wouldn't be at all surprised if we trade some combination of our later round picks to move up into latter part of 4th and grab either one of those guys. Whaley has traded each of the two previous years. Not sure if this guy can go a draft without.
  16. He's getting a raw deal, I feel for the guy. Police have said he's not a suspect. And he had to deal with his girlfriends murder. Yet no one will take a chance on a guy who most had in top half of rd1 Works for me and a position of need too, whether miller makes it or not. But I've seen reports where teams have said they'll grab him if there's in 4th
  17. Any "character" or "off the field" guys still hanging around who could have gone in the first three rounds otherwise. Not sure if there are any left, but I'd rather take a chance on them getting their life in order, than I would a guy without issues but not enough physical talent. Other than collins who said he wouldnt play if drafted past rd3, anyone care to share if there are any of these players left?
  18. Honestly your multiple replies were so ignorant I wasn't really sure where to start. But I'll try: - so you really think players perform exactly to expectations? Tom Brady 7th round? Jamarcus Russell #1 overall? - where exactly do you get your 75th and 100th player ranks from anyway? Could there be others with different ranks? - "role players"? Heres what NFL.com said about Darby: "Without a first-round pick, the Bills used their principal selection to add a player with high upside who could become a playmaker at the most important position in Ryan's defense." And if miller makes it he's a starting guard; an every down position. You thought they were special teamers or something? - re: Watkins: you do of course realize there were other rookie WRs who performed as good or better than Watkins last, one by a large margin? - you do realize we could have had 2 of them, including the wide margin outperformer, and kept this year's first? - you do realize ( or perhaps not), my post expressed the view that we overpaid for Watkins, not that he is a bad player?
  19. Some pretty good analysis here Pacquiaos best quality will be his undoing vs. Mayweather The pick here is Mayweather by late stoppage. His eagerness to deliver a good fight for his fans will be his undoing. Hell try to force the action and leave himself open to Mayweathers precise counter-punching. It will come to a point late in the fight when Pacquiao has endured enough from the bigger and faster champion. Referee Kenny Bayless respects Pacquiao too much to let him be damaged. http://nypost.com/2015/05/02/pacquiaos-best-quality-will-be-his-undoing-vs-mayweather/
  20. Happy with our picks Darby was BPA and filled serious need for depth in secondary. It's a passing league and you can't stop adding to it. Blazing speed, won't get beat deep. Not big, but plays physical, excellent tackling technique. Will help in run support. Coachable. Just a great pick Miller may not be a starter, but it's the correct strategy to throw another body into the mix. And at least his body is a real guard's body (6'2", 302 lbs). Not a too tall and heavy failed tackle, like they'd been trying. These 2 picks and some of the FA moves, help to limit the damage of paying too much for Watkins
