  1. Bledsoe proved integral to his team's playoff run when he replaced a hobbled Brady in the AFC Championship Game against Pittsburgh. Bledsoe, starting from the Steelers 40-yard line, capped a scoring drive with an 11-yard touchdown pass to David Patten to seal a 24–17 victory. In gaining the conference title Bledsoe completed 10 of 21 passes for 102 yards and a touchdown, with no interceptions.
  2. Bledsoe had just signed a $103 million contract He was only 29 They hadn't just used a 2nd round on his heir He returned during the season he was injured and even won a playoff game for them
  3. His words, not mine Bellichick says "... we're trying to give everyone an opportunity to learn our system and compete and play."
  4. I dont think they'd be prepping garoppolo to start without pending suspension. Never said otherwise. But the opening may set in motion bradys exit, just like the bledsoe injury led to Brady
  5. This is sad, R.I.P. "It is with broken hearts that Hallie, Hunter, Ashley, Jill and I announce the passing of our husband, brother and son, Beau, after he battled brain cancer with the same integrity, courage and strength he demonstrated every day of his life," the vice president said. "The entire Biden family is saddened beyond words. We know that Beau's spirit will live on in all of us -- especially through his brave wife, Hallie, and two remarkable children, Natalie and Hunter," he added. Beau Biden, who had been considering a run for governor in Delaware, was undergoing treatment at Walter Reed National Military Center. "Beau's life was defined by service to others. As a young lawyer, he worked to establish the rule of law in war-torn Kosovo. A major in the Delaware National Guard, he was an Iraq War veteran and was awarded the Bronze Star. As Delaware's Attorney General, he fought for the powerless and made it his mission to protect children from abuse," the vice president said. http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/beau-biden-dies-brain-cancer-family/story?id=31420377
  6. Bills coaches sure sound gushy positive about Taylor Tyrod Taylor getting legit chance to win Bills QB job Ryan said. "I think the ability is hard to ignore, some of the things that he has." "We looked at him hard when I was with Rex with the Jets," said quarterback coach David Lee, referring to Ryan's failed attempt to acquire Taylor from the Ravens where he warmed the bench for four years behind Joe Flacco. "He's got that uncommon speed, man, at our position. So this guy is exciting to all of us because he has that dimension of, 'Hey, I can beat you with my legs and not just my arm.' " "I think he has a beautiful throwing motion and I just have to think we've got to see how accurate he is," said Lee. "He's in this competition as much as anybody to get the starting job." http://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/sports/football/nfl/bills/2015/05/29/bills-qb-competition-underway/28181859/
  7. I reserve the right to counter sarcasm with facts
  8. Speaking of lazy thinkers Mr. "he's young and black so he must be guilty" shows up. How'd your certainty about Collins being charged with murder and father of victims child workout? lol
  9. Surprise upside: Darby, will be a top DRoY candidate Surprise downside: McCoy, won't come anywhere near to justifying costs
  10. If whaley is a smart guy, and I think he is, the last thing he would do is fight to keep EJ around when hes not performing, and contribute to more losing seasons. Smart people cut their losses fast.
  11. My head was saying GSW, my gut was saying Cavs. Then last night I had a dream...almost premonition...that Curry was gliding thru the air past lebron and scoring. And it was clear GSW was the superior team. So I'm going GSW in 5
  12. Sarcasm is no substitute for substance
  13. The older he gets the greater the probability its his last
  14. See your response is what I mean by lazy thinking. Yes age is a time series which has shown to terminate earlier that bradys current age. You think theres some connection between that and pats spending a 2nd last year on QB? Also no one said "he's lost job". It was posted as a question; "Is he saying the QB position is open and will be decided via competition?"
  15. Last September he was a year younger, not involved in a scandal, and not riding the pine for 1st four games. I know you're a lazy thinker, but even you can see things have changed
  16. He made it very clear its an open competition and everyone gets an equal shot. He already traded kiko, whose performance thus far projects much better than EJ's. This is also as much about what rex and roman want as anyone else. The off season moves show Rex's strong influence.
  17. Yeah because it's a highly unlikely a new regime would trade away a QB whom they have no ties too, especially after signing 3 from the outside, whom they've made clear EJ has no advantage over any of them. And a team that traded the DRoY runner up from the same class as EJ, is of course not interested in trading picks from that class. And of course no other team would trade for EJ, in spite of the fact that other recent 1st round disappointment Gabbert, Brady Quinn, and Jason Campbell were all traded by the team that drafted them.
  18. QB Blaine Gabbert dealt to Ninershttp://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/10591240/jacksonville-jaguars-trade-blaine-gabbert-san-francisco-49ers
  19. AFCE Could see Pats as a way to add depth and competition behind Bradys approaching exit. Also as a tacit endorsement they dont respect bills capability to develop talent. Dont see jets or fins wanting him. AFCN Could see steelers taking him to backup Ben. Like Ben he's a big guy that can hang in there in the pocket. Just not as accurate. Ravens too to replace Taylor. And of course Cleveland, where many 1st round cast offs make a stop. AFCS Maybe Colts for cheap insurance behind Luck, but the others like Titans and Jags no as they won't want any controversy behind their new young guns. Texans maybe , depends what they think of Mallett and not wanting to upset the balance. AFCW Chargers and Chiefs maybe for depth behind vets. Raiders no, not wanting to upset situation with Carr, Denver no, not seeing him fit into Kubiaks system. NFCE Giants not with Nassib. Skins perhaps, kind of like Cleveland, lot of cast offs flow thru there. Cowboys maybe for depth. Eagles no, not accurate enough and they already have a full roster. NFCN Bears would be one of my top candidates. Cheap way to take a flyer on replacing that high priced bust Cutler. Also could fit well on their roster. Vikings no, not with Teddy. Packers no, they like homegrown. Lions no, not accurate enough to spell Stafford. NFCS Panthers could be another good spot, as EJ is kind of a "Cam light". Big guy that can move but not accurate. Saints no as they just drafted Brees heir. Bucs no, after just drafting Winston. Atl maybe, but I think his lack of accuracy will hurt his chances behind Ryan. NFCW 9ers maybe if the new regime wants to part with Gabbert. Also he's friends with Kap, and could be considered "Kap-light". Seahawks maybe as they look for value, and like Pats make a tacit endorsement Bills cant develop talent (see Beast mode). Cards definitely as they always seem to need more bodies at QB. Same for Rams
  20. Wouldnt be surprised if jets sign tuel. He seems like a gailey kind of guy
  21. Beginning of end for Brady? Bellichick says "... we're trying to give everyone an opportunity to learn our system and compete and play." Is he saying the QB position is open and will be decided via competition? http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000494702/article/tom-brady-jimmy-garoppolo-split-reps-at-pats-otas
  22. As a reference jags got a 6th for gabbert. But as bad as his days were in Jacksonville he's probably thought of as having a better arm than EJ
  23. Would be consistent with Rex cleaning out the guys he inherited to make room for his guys. Basically all the qb's on roster would have been brought in after he got here
  24. I don't see it as an upgrade at all. Its more like rex wanting "his guys" kind of thing
  25. Nice work there house of saud. While their air force is killing civilians in neighboring Yemen .....
