  1. He'd be a fun president though
  2. Some more background on why they will be tough to dislodge.... Linguist and activist Noam Chomsky talks with an Iraq War veteran and answers questions collected by human rights activists from people currently living under siege in Fallujah, Iraq. The interviewer, Ross Caputi, is a veteran of the 2nd US-led siege of Fallujah. He is on the Board of Directors of the Islah Reparations Project (www.reparations.org). Chomsky emphasizes that the Islamic State is an offshoot of the politically motivated religious ideology of American allies in the Middle East like Saudi Arabia and Qatar that use extremist Wahhabi ideology to control the region. Chomsky also points out that the United States is isolating and demonizing nations and movements in Syria and Iran that are working tirelessly to stop ISISs expansion, but adds that ISIS is enforcing an imperialist agenda of deteriorating the Middle East and North Africa for better control of the region through divide and conquer. . http://www.mintpressnews.com/noam-chomsky-isis-grew-out-of-iraq-war-enforces-imperialist-agenda/205663/
  3. We dont know what's going on, and may have nothing to do with football and only relate to his troubled family situation. But given some of the commentary, could also be football performance related. It seems like he was having.a hard time even making it past 3rd string on the depth chart. Just because a guy was drafted by NFL, doesn't make him a lock to make cfl rosters, or even if he does to be a starter. He may have bailed for "undisclosed personal reasons", thinking that's better outcome than not making the team, the latter of which pretty much destroys all his credibility as an athlete and the narrative he isn't being given a fair chance in the NFL because of his sexual orientation.
  4. That was even much more the case with shaq as he was a lot bigger than Lebron. That said, officiating in this series (including many calls/no-calls not involving Lebron), has shades of that horrible steelers - seahawks super bowl
  5. like I said, not a fan, but this was classic (would have been even better if Tyson bit Austin on his fat ass)
  6. Any votes for Floyd Mayweather? http://youtu.be/thNYA_x9aIE
  7. Do they ever call travelling ? That GSW guy on the flagrant review ran 4 steps carrying the ball
  8. Great article ... LeBron James' unfathomable workload Last Tuesday a group of leading sports scientists gathered in Northern England to watch the NBA Finals. That wasn't the intended reason for the gathering. The idea was for top trainers and scientists, from teams like the Premier League's Southampton and Manchester United along with England, Scotland and Welsh rugby clubs, to hear from Michael Young, noted expert from the Athletic Lab. They wanted to learn what the latest research said about keeping highly paid athletes healthy and at their competitive best. But the two-day workshop was overrun with talk of, and concern for, LeBron James. The worry begins with a baseline level of "stress" -- that's their term -- surrounding all NBA players. Sports science has exploded in recent years with evidence that factors like mucked-up sleep, air travel and densely scheduled games put players in jeopardy. The NBA is elite in all categories. http://espn.go.com/nba/playoffs/2015/story/_/id/13071387/lebron-james-unfathomable-workload
  9. Substance part applies to nearly all of them, and the ones it doesn't are doomed because it gives opponents the opportunity to pick their plan apart. The identity at least as it applies to wealth and income is a winner, because it can rally the low to mid level earners, but the big donors know damn well she can be bought and its just campaign rhetoric.jmho but I don't think the truly wealthy or big corporations are afraid of her policies. More broadly she has no actual policy, other than her own notoriety. Might as well not even have a president, if nothing else it will be an interesting experiment in what happens when the office is devoid of policy and agenda beyond a personal one.
  10. No matter what happens Lebron is still on the short list of best ever....at least of the guys I've seen...Jordan, shaq, kobe.....I don't think any one one of them gets this cavs team as far.
  11. Pair of edible panties gently used by a former Jill (circa 1992). I promised not to eat them until Bills win the super bowl
  12. Well she made a good speech (Bill probably wrote it) touching on a lot of hot points, while turning perceived weaknesses (e.G. age) into a positive. Pretty much over as far as demo primary IMO Hillary Clinton, in Roosevelt Island Speech, Pledges to Close Income Gap http://nyti.ms/1L5LuNd
  13. "Anyone questioning our strict dress code law requiring women to cover themselves from head to toe, we give you Exhibit A"
  14. Weird. They made it sound terminal, like hes probably not coming back
  15. This Saudi connection thing is much more than political maneuvering about the hypocrisy of a feminist taking money from such a misogynistic country. Turns out she knowingly took funds from the country she as SoS signed off on as the largest source of funding for Islamist terror and which the government is reluctant to stop it. WOW ....to me this is a bombshell to her moral credibility and policy judgement. But are the repubes too in bed with Saudi oil money and influence to exploit it? ------- Saudi Arabia is the world's largest source of funds for Islamist militant groups such as the Afghan Taliban and Lashkar-e-Taiba but the Saudi government is reluctant to stem the flow of money, according to Hillary Clinton. "More needs to be done since Saudi Arabia remains a critical financial support base for al-Qaida, the Taliban, LeT and other terrorist groups," says a secret December 2009 paper signed by the US secretary of state. Her memo urged US diplomats to redouble their efforts to stop Gulf money reaching extremists in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Donors in Saudi Arabia constitute the most significant source of funding to Sunni terrorist groups worldwide," she said. The cables highlight an often ignored factor in the Pakistani and Afghan conflicts: that the violence is partly bankrolled by rich, conservative donors across the Arabian Sea whose governments do little to stop them. The problem is particularly acute in Saudi Arabia, where militants soliciting funds slip into the country disguised as holy pilgrims, set up front companies to launder funds and receive money from government-sanctioned charities. One cable details how the Pakistani militant outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba, which carried out the 2008 Mumbai attacks, used a Saudi-based front company to fund its activities in 2005. http://www.theguardian.com/world/2010/dec/05/wikileaks-cables-saudi-terrorist-funding
  16. I'm sure that "infidel's" sleigh wouldn't last 2 minutes in air space controlled by Saudis
  17. The injuries seem pretty minor. I've been in accidents before and insurance paid for it less deductible. What the basis for a civil suit and damages beyond that?
  18. These people are out for blood setting up a lawsuit.
  19. I thought that was the Brooklyn Brawlers lot?
  20. At 6'10" this brother is as big as an NBA center, and he's probably as good if not better an athlete as most
  21. Gotta love them fun lovin' Saudis Airstrikes in Yemen hit world heritage site SANA'A, Yemen - Saudi-led airstrikes targeting Shiite rebels and their allies in Yemen destroyed historic houses on Friday in the center of the capital, Sana'a, a UNESCO world heritage site. Rescue teams digging through the debris pulled the bodies of six civilians from under the rubble. In the Sana'a airstrikes, residents initially believed the warplanes had targeted a house occupied by a senior rebel commander, but officials and witnesses later said there were no Shiite rebels among the victims. The impact of the missiles flattened at least three houses and caused cracks in surrounding buildings, which are cemented to one another, leaving large sections of the old city's district at the risk of collapse. At a destroyed four-story building, a reporter saw a pile of bricks, dust and wood mingled with clothes, kitchenware and water tanks, which are traditionally kept on roofs. An adjacent three-story building was split in half, wooden window frames dangling from the upper floors. Rescue workers were covered with dust as they searched for victims. 22. The Undertaker was impressive because of a guy that size having that much athleticism. Ultimate Warrior was good when he first came out because of the action hero physique and crazed super hero personality. A nice departure from goons like Hogan. Batista certainly looks cool but I'd like to see more personality/identity from him Honorable mention to Goldberg for his straight up style. IMO the least entertaining of the champions was Stone Cold Steve Austin. He wasn't athletic and his persona was boring. It also made no sense that his defiance bothered the WWE Chief McMahon since most of the wrestlers have a belligerent, defiant disposition.
  23. You see what he's repeatedly doing: "I'm doing bad things because of what I hypothesize others will do if I don't do these bad things. Therefore my bad things...however atrocious ....are justified" And to think in our society he has ample access to assault weapons. Scary
