I think it's a sign of desperation: when the officiating has gotten this bad, you're not supposed to talk about it. It's like government censorship, or fired for being the whistle blower.

The ref had a perfect angle to view it, as did the bills player (I think brown) and there was no protest from him. Never seen such sour grapes after a regular season loss, and to a non-conferenxe opponent to boot, as this one.

Hate to open up a can of worms here, but why aren't there any African-American kickers? Maybe I'm forgetting a player or two, but even if so, for the most part the kicking ranks are almost entirely made up of white players.
