  1. Lets say that manning's out a year. Comes back looks sharp warming up and gets clean bill of health from several doctors. Don't you think a miami who believe they have all the pieces in place but a QB would take him a heartbeat? Offering high draft value? He'd have a good oline and some nice toys named bush and marshal to throw to. No brainer IMO
  2. Youre not reading what Im saying. Im saying IF they are committed to winning it all w/ Manning when he comes back, THEN they should trade the Luck pick (assuming they have it) for more picks to surround Manning. IF they have the Luck pick and want to move on from Manning, THEN Id trade Manning to someone like a Miami who think they can contend now with a QB, and surround Luck w/ better players. Think 9ers .... Montana .... Young
  3. That's a good point. Everyone assumes luck won't do a locker. Heck maybe the best thing for him would be an early season ending injury. Didn't hurt Bradford!
  4. Because if they're committed to winning it again with manning they will need to surround him with better players. Sitting luck does nothing for them now. You know for sure manning can't be traded ? If they're really in love with luck that's the move to make.
  5. I think they're right. Colts are paying manning too much not to win now. If have the #1 pick and someone wants luck, I see them trading it for multiple picks. Otherwise provided manning's contact allows it and they want luck, the move would be to draft luck and trade manning.
  6. Colts are the most single player dependent team in the league. This will crush them. They're right in the middle of the luck bowl
  7. No doubt. They weren't winning it all with him and they've always been terrible when he sits. He's not only starting QB he's effectively the OC too. That whole offense revolved around him and given his uniqueness and iron man they never invested in a quality backup.
  8. Peyton manning and the colts were no part of my interest in football this season. If I end up watching any of their games it's either because they're playing the bills or they're a featured night or holiday game and hence there's no choice. Again no disrespect to Peyton or the colts but to me with so much more going in the build up to opening day IMO it's disrespectful to the rest of the league to discuss Peyton and the colts non stop
  9. If it's not about the money and he's done then wouldn't you expect him to forgo the guaranteed portion of his extension?
  10. Beat out the Amazing Kreskin?
  11. Who's the "Canadian" God?
  12. Ummm because a day before season starts I'd like to watch some football news and id like more choice than either all Peyton or none? By your logic I can ask why you bothered opening this thread.
  13. So he's not playing on opening day, so what? Colts went no where last year and even with him theres no reason to think they'll go any farther this season. Yes theyll do worse without him but again who cares outside of small market Indy? Sports networks are acting like this is a bigger story than the strike. Geez the season will be fine with or without Peyton playing, on a team no one sees going all the way anyway. Sucks for colts after giving him a big extension but again hey that's their problem.
  14. RIP very sad. Prayers to victims and their families
  15. Long over due. Endangered species and the manner in which they maim the living sharks and then leave them to drown is disgraceful
  16. Could as it gives him another excuse for losing this year whole holding out false hope for next season. IMO del rio is jauron-bad so hanging on is all about smoke and mirrors
  17. Pretty basic dude, if you want a better oline get better olinemen
  18. If he's that irresponsible off the field jets may want to reconsider. He sounds perfect for them.
  19. Ask bill polian, who blames poor play from the offensive line for colts super bowl loss to saints, including manning's costly pick at the end
  20. Bills should get uniforms designed to confuse the opponent. Bills are already confused so this would help even the playing field. A hologram of that Banned wang Chung video on the helmet might be interesting
  21. Why didn't they try to negotiate a reduced salary? Since garrards money wasn't guaranteed he really had no leverage.
  22. No way. We were sold that bill of goods when they drafted spiller and the oline looks even worse. Talent players don't make olines look better. Now some players are so good they can overcome a poor oline, like Aaron Rodgers. BUT the educated observer can still see how lacking the Pack line was.
  23. Always like what I've seen out of garrard. The scrambling ability is well known, but he's competitive and throws a surprisingly good deep ball. I also think del rio is a horrible coach, especially when it comes to offense. I'd feel a lot more comfortable with him as fitzy's backup than thigpen.
  24. No way, 2 conference wins are better than 1 division win. Dont give into the pats like this. Losing mentality IMO
