  1. Sounds far fetched but could something weird like that. Maybe gailey was more disgusted than embarrassed to discuss it.
  2. The only thing we have is he pointed to his chest in practice and walked off. I'm quite puzzled what kind of chest illness he has that gailey finds too embarrassing to discuss.
  3. I hope crypt keeper keeps under rating us all season, the more you fly under the radar the better IMO.
  4. Manning was unique, tied up a lot of cap coin and never missed games. I dont blame Polian for not working on his replacement. They know the time is now though. If they were serious about trying to make something out of this season theyd try to sign Garrard, he knows the division and Colts personnel. He can scramble and try to offset some of the coordination w/ Manning gone. My guess is they just leave Collins to die on the vine to improve their draft position. Polian is a crafty schemer, he knows Colts at best w/o Manning but someone better than Collins are a 5 to 6 win team at best. Which puts them drafting somewhere around 4 thru 7. He got Manning with the #1 overall pick, had he drafted 2nd he might have been forced to take Leaf. This is a guy whose experience tells him getting "his" QB means picking #1.
  5. Note to colts players from polian: we've given up on the season because we want luck. Anyone costing us the ability to draft him by winning games should plan on finding a new team, or new occupation entirely if your gm has his way
  6. Raiders last night on defense looked to have a lot of good athletes on defense but they aren't disciplined. Catching them early in over pursuit could be part of gaileys game plan. Their secondary looks decent ao expect to attack them with a lot misdirection run plays and screens.
  7. what else can it be?
  8. @ Bruce, honestly the only thing that somewhat settles my mind about the spiller pick is they may have taken Anthony Davis @ LT instead, who I understand is close to officially wearing the bust lable with the 9ers.
  9. I think the only hope is to find a way to use him in the originally intended design, which was a triple threat running outside, receiving and on special teams. Thats why this trend of trying to force him up the middle as a power back is unsettling
  10. My fear is they've given up on his ability turn a run outside the tackles and receiving skills out of the backfield so they're desperately trying to turn him into something he's not.
  11. My post was in response to the preceding one that claimed defenses keep safeties deeper when spiller's on the field. Read much?
  12. Im ready to IR or cut McGee, and resign Corner. Sure when healty McGee is better BUT HE'S NEVER HEALTHY. Id rather have a younger guy that can stay on the field, has potential and can work on improving
  13. No defenses are changing their schemes to stop spiller. Why would they ? Hasn't shown he can do anything special.
  14. No matter i wouldn't take them lightly. If your the bills you shouldnt take anyone lightly!!! Campbell who I'm not a fan of has at least stabilized the qb position. McFadden is back healthy. They have good depth thanks to years of drafting high. They won 4 more games than we did last season, and are ackowlesged thru out league as an up and comer. I'm just glad schedulers did us a favor by sending a west coast team to buffalo after a late MNF road game. As gailey said after yeaterdays win "we re not there yet," as I'm saying now we need all the help we can get.
  15. Exactly. Forget the "he's a situational player because he's playing behind Freddy" talk If Freddy werent there his extreme inadequacy as the featured back would lose him a job in the NFL. IMO
  16. Raiders swept Chefs last year We have on our side they are playing a late MNF game on the road and then travel to east coast for a road game at 1 Sunday (10 am Cali time). Brutal way to start the season.
  17. He carried the oline especially in the second quarter when KC was winning line of scrimmage battle.
  18. This win takes us out of the luck bowl.
  19. I agree with you, I like our secondary. It's the only positive thing from the jauron era.
  20. Scott made some nice tackles and mckelvin was very active keeping kc wr's off balance
  21. Spiller should be #3 on depth chart. He's a drive killer. White runs with more power. This coaching of spiller to run straight north south is absurd. He's just too small. He's a bump it outside runner unless you have a dominant oline which we don't.
  22. Without a strong oline and power running game we need gimmickry on 3rd and short / goal line situations. That's what he tries to make up for.
  23. Dareus Williams Johnson Levitre Merriman Jackson Lindell
  24. I didn't think the interview reflected poorly on him. You need to read the whole thing. I like that he speaks his mind and has an edge. And he's not the first player to say coughlin needs to get with the program and stop treating NFL players like they're kindergardners. I can see how he would have felt abandoned by Eli for never visiting him I'm jail. And I recall mayor bloomberg going over the top in making an example of Plax. Good honest interview. Kind we need more of. Too much sterile "coached" stuff out there these days.
