Kyle Williams will miss the Redskins Game
truth on hold replied to 5 Wide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Keep living in your fantasy world where no one tries to position things in the most favorable light When big money is involved and where agents don't exist. -
Drafted dareus as an interior DT/NT indicating they were unsure if troupe would grow into it. Pretty simple

All Time Underappreciated Bills

Kidding me? Clark was at least 6" taller and 40 lbs heavier, and he was a bit of a psycho -
Troupe pick is turning into a disaster. A 2nd round 300+ pounder that can't stay on the field and has shown nothing when he does. Because there was no faith in him we had to use a 1st round the very next season for the same position, passing on badly needed help at WR (green) or in the secondary (Peterson)

Right now I see a .500 team from here: 3 up 2 down at home, 2 up 3 down on road. 9 & 7 record with some lowish tie breaker odds of getting wild card. Teams are catching on fitz can't beat you deep, for all the investment in front 7 last 2 years we still can't stop the run or rush the passer, and bills tried and true injury bug is rearing it's ugly head.

Mario Clark! Biggest hitter we've ever had in the secondary. Lifting mercury Morris over his head and body slamming him = priceless 25 picks by age of 27. Got a ring after being traded to 9'ers -

WC is a crap shoot. We need to focus on winning our division and take care of our own business. Go bolts! IMO raiders made a big mistake with Palmer unless they're privy to info the rest of the universe isn't. -

Foot injury was known in pre season before the contract extension. Severity only came out afterward -

Good thing we signed him to that big extension! Funny how thes things have a way of surfacing as far more serious than previously thought once the check clears. -
It's an extraordinary price in this era when draft picks are so highly valued. Have to wonder how Al's passing play into this: something he was holding up or something they thought he would have wanted? Cinci made out like bandits that's for sure

A Few Thoughts About The Game
truth on hold replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bills are 3 & 0 at home, a paltry 1 & 2 on the road. Fitz stunk today and unfortunately is getting close to proving a qb can have it all except for a strong arm and he's doomed. But the road losses usually mean at least 2 things: you can't run the ball and/or you can't stop it. We're pretty good at running on the road but in both losses we got dominated by power backs. It just sucks with all the emphasis on the defensive front 7 we're still mr softee against the run. -
I understand the point. But you can't game plan around an NFL qb that can't make that throw. You're going no where if you do. Might as well get Kelly Holcomb back Baseball analogy doesn't work as they would bring in a relief pitcher if the starter couldn't throw a basic strike.
-
NFL QB had to be able to make that throw. It wasn't anything special
-
No problem with the call If the play was there. Too much time left to think run the clock out. That strategy also ends most likely with a FG Attempt not TD. They had the matchup they wanted, the call made strategic sense, simply an undethrown ball further exposing fitz one weakness as a qb
-
Yeap we're not that there yet as a team. Weve had 2 chances to be in highly Desirable positions at 4 & 0 or 5 & 1 at the bye and couldn't do it either time on the road. Coaching fitz porous defense whatever you want to call it (all of the above in reality) this isn't a team that's ready for prime time. I won't believe they are until they show me they can win games like these.
-
I agree. Look around and no one other than pats or ravens scare me. Would be tough to beat Pats 2x for sure but easier than having lost the first and feeling fatalistic about losing. Ravens are of even greater concern because they can beat up the QB, have a big play guy in the secondary and they can run. Big match up issues for us. But hey being one of the top 3 gives you a shot and worth looking for that extra ingriedient or two now.

It stems from Ralph's cheapness and can be stated in 2 words: Rookie cap

Can we be 5-1 at the BYE week?

Need a QB with a stronger arm like a Brady or manning to pull that off long term -

5 - 1 at the bye with a win against a team with a winning record in their building would be a sign the bills have taken it to the next level. They came up flat given a similar fork in the road at Cinci. I'll only bill-ieve when they show me they're ready to take that next step. -
I wanted Peterson or green over dareus. At this very early stage in their careers id rank their performance green, dareus, Peterson. My ideal would have been Peterson at 3 then trade up 5 spots to bottom of rd1 and get wilkerson. I'd take That combo over dareus and Williams in a heart beat. On a yardage basis one cannot make the argument our defense is better. But it is creating more turnovers, partly due to pressure up front, which Dareus gets some credit for. I think his play will only get better (for one needs to stop over pursuing and taking himself out of plays) and if healthy he'll be a productive starter for a decade with maybe a couple pro bowl appearances. Which makes him a good pick. But better than green or Peterson? Only time will tell.
-
Dealing vets for picks makes sense for colts, makes it that much more certain they win the luck bowl this year and provides luck with newly drafted young WRs he can build lasting chemistry with (like Dalton and green in Cinci). Just don't think they part with a pro bowler with some years left like Wayne for a 4th. Polian is too good a card player do let him go that cheaply, only bills would do something like that (i e Evans)

Maybins sack fumble on flacco could have been a turning point in that game if can't chise doesn't throw pick 6 on next play. Oh wait dont tell me, that was maybins fault too lol
