  1. This will never happen but if merriman had any integrity, if given medical clearance for next year he should offer to play for bills for vet minimum ( should be zero but that's not possible) with bills having an option on another year at minimum with some performance incentives.
  2. An oft-injured, formerly suspended player that was let go and passed up by 2 other teams is hardly splashy free agent signing. I see it as just nit picky cheapness trying to spend less than the full amount on the real thing and end up blowing a big chunk of change and spinning our wheels anyway.
  3. Hes right this time re: nix and merriman
  4. Beck looked good as a rookie all things considered. He fell victim to the ego maniac parcels house cleaning. I'd feel a lot better about this game if it were at the ralph. Bills are 0&3 in Toronto. They always seem to turn up flat there. Based on wilsons comments today we can see the players don't look forward to it. I'd give a slight edge to the "visiting" team in terms of home/away, and give hem 1.5 point advantage in this category (ie 1/2th normal home team advantage )
  5. Great thanks. Watch buddy give him a 2 yr $7mill extension on the news
  6. From his espn inbox Q: I've harped on you pretty badly about my Buffalo Bills, and one question you hadn't answered still lingers: Has Chan Gailey changed the culture in Buffalo enough to really start to bring the organization back to prominence? Bills fan A: Gailey has turned pessimism into optimism and that is a change toward the positive. I was thinking anything around six wins would be progress, but now the Bills have a chance at an eight- or nine-win season, which is great progress. The offense is exciting. The defense is better. Fans have to be excited. All of this may not translate into a playoff season, but at least the Bills are in the hunt now and they will get better next year under Gailey. http://m.espn.go.com/nfl/story?storyId=7151047
  7. I see the source of nix mistakes ... Most notably spiller pick and merriman signing ... Coming from trying to make us chargers-light. I think this is unwarranted deference for a team that never made the super bowl with him. If you take those errors away he's actually been pretty solid otherwise.
  8. He got fleeced for a cool $7 million by merriman. Nix is really look a fool on this one. He's supposed to have better info on chargers players and turns out he missed the boat on the severity of merrimans imjuies, which started surfacing shortly after lights out arrival
  9. Unfortunately too much pressure is being put on the rookie dareus. I'm afraid this will effect him negatively somehow (injury, burn out, disillusion, etc) He was supposed to be playing along a pro bowler in Williams and with outside support from former pro bowler merriman, spelled by 2nd yr NT troupe. Now they're all gone and he's being asked to do everything.
  10. You laugh but losman to marshal could be a potent combination, just like losman to Evans won us some games Can't be worse than what they currently have
  11. How about NFL's official site? http://www.nfl.com/player/jamaalwesterman/2507638/profile
  12. Maybin 3 > Westerman 2.5. Geez, the Maybin haters can't even do basic math
  13. Pretty simple, the rankings change every week, there's always movement. Your relative position can change if based on new info teams move up or down, whether or not you play. Interesting compliment they paid to Jauron as DC for Browns. I hated his guts as our HC, but I do think the Tampa-2 is a good scheme. Browns rank 4th in total defense is no fluke, imo
  14. Guy is leading the Jets in sacks having played just 4 games! Can just "anyone" can do that?
  15. I was expecting this and would have been surprised if he stayed on the field. His injury talk in SD was the shoulder, and how doctors had given him clearance on it. Then he shows up here and suddenly he has an even more onerous sounding achilles injury. hhhmmmmm .... Bolts knew this guy was done.
  16. Great guy, great player. He will be missed
  17. I tuned in late and only saw the reach around. Thanks this explains what led to it.
  18. Not me I like them. League needs a team with some edge to keep things interesting. Based on what I saw ATL are full of it anyway. Suh was no where near Ryan and the Avril did not kick Ryan when he was down as they alleged. ATL try as much as anyone to best up opponents they have no room to point fingers
  19. Not possible. Wouldn't have passed the other team's physical!
  20. Scobee is the man Games not over though
  21. Now reed is hurt. What an awful outing for ravens
  22. Once again del rio is sent to the corner with the Dunce cap Fwiw that was pretty ticky tack interference call
  23. So far right it barely made it inside the pylon !
  24. If only jags had maybin they could the sack- fumble they need on flacco to seal it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ektJ9dmthBQ&feature=youtube_gdata_player
