I dont hate him, never did. Disappointed yes, but not hate. As a matter of fact I defended him in the various Maybin-bashing threads. I just think Ryan is exploiting him for his own petty means. Maybin has done some things when inserted quietly in spots with Jets. He's not ready to have the spotlight shined him

Wood is awesome. But seriously I hope the fans pay maybin no mind when he Comes out For the toss. Don't waste energy on that guy save it for the real game. If asked gailey should just make light of it saying he doesn't choose other teams captains. If they feel he's deserving of that honor over others that's up to them. Subtly hinting that its a slight to their other players. And that his focus will be on the game

Keys to a Bills Victory Sunday

Well he is 31 now and he always seems to have some kind leg pull or strain. I admit to not having timed him but to my eye he doesn't look the burner he was returning kicks years ago. -
I think packers have it best with a lot of flexibility and will have anywhere from 2 to 5 line up with hand down. Bills have flexible players so maybe we can make that work too. I don't think kw and md are perfect compliments as 4-3 dts. 2 Kyle one gap penetrators would be. If md can handle 3-4 NT responsibility like a ngata, that's our best base option This does leave kw (last years darling) as kind of the odd man out. But with his foot who knows what hes doing this year and beyond anyway.

Bills Look-Alike's

Wilson one isn't funny as he doesn't look like a chimp. An even if he did hes a chimp worth a billion $. How's that compare to the jets op? The wood one is funny. What's not funny is being a defender and getting pancaked by a husky kid. Only stadium looks like a bowl is Dallas with the hole in the roof. If the Ralph were a bowl design even rex's fat arse would fall thru it. -

Update on bradshaw. Sounds like he wants to play but coughlin is hedging his bets. I hope that coughlin isn't thinking of keeping him out because it a non conference game. Anyway turn out bradshaws been playing with a screw in both feet since last February so it's nothing new http://m.espn.go.com/nfl/story?storyId=7185825 -
Never happen with chan. He's a systems guy on both sides of the ball. Upon arrival he expressed his preference for the 3-4 based on how he felt it was more difficult to run an offense against it.

If my funny feeling bears fruit (and this time not in my pants) on Monday morning the answer to that will be "yesterday" -
A New Domed Bills Stadium in the Falls?

Buffalo retailers are already starving. Where's the demand coming from that supports this new mega mall? -

I acknowledge that's a tough one to counter because it means prediciting a turn about of sorts in pats fortunes. 2 in row and with a crappy defense would start to raise serious questions about their trajectory as a franchise. But hey it's got to happen sometime. They did lose to bills already and that's a turnaround of sorts. If you saw how poor they looked last week against steelers you'd think sooner than later. Steelers play a different scheme than gmen but effect is the same : pressure on the QB. Fewell is also highly familiar with pats offense from his time in buffalo. -

At least Jacobs committed to stop whining and do what is asked. I could see him having a big game incented by showing gmen he deserves more carries. Also giants seem to show great resiliency to injuries -

That's probably the best general argument in favor of pats ie not losing 2 in a row. But there are rule of thumbs in favor of gmen too. For example gmen already knocked Off afc east leading bills why can't they do the same to 2nd place pats? I agree the 8.5 spread looks ridiculous. I have a lot of respect for giants coaching staff. They won't get blown out -

Last time these teams met was in super bowl. Giants are a similar team and IMHO pats aren't nearly as good. Their record confirms this. Gmen aren't afraid of pats and the ny Boston rivalry adds another leveling of the play field dimension. Pats looked weak against steelers last week and I dont see how giants won't have success running and passing on them. Pats will score some points like they always do but giants superior pass rush tips the balance of holding serve in their favor. Giants 27, pats 25 -

I'm not saying clean up the factories I'm just saying don't expect them to come back as an economic base. Theyre far enough away from where I envision a stadium to be any kind of environmental factor. I hear you on politics but reality is they're everywhere. It's a mega project like this that can both incent them to overcome differences and bring in external forces to impose solutions on them , that makes things happen. It's a very compelling proposition if we get state funding. Time for schumer to keep his promise of keeping bills in the area, and turn americas run down "back door" into a shiny new front entrance, a projected net tax positive event for NYS. The rest of the owners and Goodell would be all over it -
Bills 19 jets 12. All the hype leads to a poorly played game with jets post bye lethargy a contributing factor. Sloppy play accounts for the somewhat odd score. Jets D is hard to get big chunks on so that reduces number of potential drives and keeps score under 20. Meanwhile bills rejuvenated front 7 contains jets run game and mcgees physical play on plax keeps them out of the end zone. For bill to break 20 barrier means multiple jets turnovers most likely sanchez picks. But these are a luxury and hard to predict so I opt for 19.

I'm really glad we have a healthy McGee for this game. Hes not so fast anymore but he's big and physical enough to handle plax. otherwise we would have had to commit to a lot of doubles on him which leaves the more dynamic holmes single covered. -
Never a doubt in my mind Williams is best used as a 4-3 DT and dareus is the much better 3-4 NT prospect

State of the local economy is a factor in support of a dome in NF. need something to spur a recovery/revitalization. not going to happen on its own. NF needs to shed the factories as America has lost this battle to places like China and other emerging economies. Get back to "clean uses" that leverage existing assets like the falls, when possible. seriously, waiting for the economy to turn and then build a dome has it arse-backwards -
hes back full, this is his 4th game

Guy makes some decent points but not surprisingly his analysis is incomplete and he misses a lot of other factors. He picks Jets. Anyway I thought most interesting point re: Bills was comparing them to the 2009 Saints, where you have a ball hawking D that takes chances to get the ball back in the hands of a high powered offense. Bills don't have Saints pass rush (sans last week), so more of their turnovers are created w/ tips and secondary maneuvers. But the offense very much resembles Saints with a versatile back, a decisive QB running an uptempo, mostly mid range passing attack that makes full use of all receiving targets. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsZncMl0quY&feature=channel_video_title -
Mangold is a clutch and gab mark schleroth type blocker. That can work in pass protection but not so much in run where you have to get out and hit people. That could be a key reason the supposed ground and pound jets can't run up the middle. Wood is a much stronger physical presence who can stay on his feet and get to the second level in run support. Giants found that out the hard way on freddies long TD run when wood got by the line and picked off 2 LBs. He's a key factor bills have been so effective running up the middle. With that and low sack against total Guys having a pro bowl year for sure.
