  1. I think if he'd just done one or the other there would have been no penalty. But at the end of day who really cares. Neither team is going anywhere this year and we need a good draft next year to be legit.
  2. Funny, I drove by Marcel dareus the other day and he did the same thing.
  3. Peters was definitely top 5 LT. More highly regarded than Wood. Id say best case is Wood reaches the same level, dont see him exceeding it. Especially after 2 season ending injuries. Nelson is gone and Batten has a long way to go, so not sure I agree with the rest of this post.
  4. Been downhill since pats game. We're a measly 2 & 5 since. Win against Philly was a good hard fought game, win over skins wa a gift. People read too much into it because of 10 sacks and our first win I toronto. But hindsight being 20-20 i think we'll be able to loon back and say week 3 over pats was our "super bowl" this year. The omen for me was bengals coach saying he was ok with their 1&2 start because they had bills next and they were confident they'd get the win. Out of character for him and odder still saying it about an undefeated team. But he was right they got the win. I believe he saw something then that showed we werent what the media was hyping us to be.
  5. Couldn't agree more. Plenty of "systems" have proven to be effective and super bowl worthy. Not a single one works with mediocre players.
  6. All the coaching changes have meant drafting for need rather than best player available. That explains the miss on ngata and others
  7. Not sure how you establish "in-arguable". Stats? Pro bowl? Sports writers poll? But this year I'd say wood was in top 5 centers. Evans probably had a year or 2 where he was borderline top 5. Fletcher could be another at MLB. Spikes too before the injury
  8. Man that's brutal. Makes me uncomfortable just reading it. Fortunately there was a link to this article to help brighten the mood http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2064718/I-love--I-miss-sex-life-Ex-husband-worlds-fattest-woman-says-wants-back.html
  9. Over the years their music has really grown on me, as has an appreciation for Freddie's showmanship. RIP
  10. given our lack of speed at the wideout position, I'd probably put Parrish ahead of Lindell
  11. I see us having only one chance to win which is to get to Sanchez both physically and mentally. If can do that it could be over by the half at least as sanchez is concerned. Bills defense needs to do a # on him because our offense won't do a thing against jets D
  12. I think we'll see a lot of Johnny White anyway. he looked good in preseason. Hit the hole hard and wasn't easy to bring down. He could be our Demarco Murray
  13. Reality is Fred hasnt been effective since the jets game. The hit he took on the fumble in particular. They didn't call it a concussion but still i wonder
  14. This seems like the most injury-plagued season we ever had.
  15. Put me down for green. No offense to dareus whom I like but the D is no better with him (not his fault) and green is proving to be an impact player at a position we dearly need. He's a smart route runner that would have worked well with gailey too. Perfect fit.
  16. I don't smith wants to be here. His heart is still with the jets. And we havent found a way to use him. After the seasons over I could see bills and jets working out a trade to send him back. I know its a bit unusual for teams on same division to help each other but in this I can see it making sense.
  17. we really need to find a way to rattle Sanchez early, force mistakes and take a lead. Ryan is giving Brunel snaps in practice. Publicly he's still standing by Sanchez, but ..... http://www.nypost.com/p/blogs/jetsblog/brunell_takes_six_snaps_with_jets_HkduzyzLRHo1oTVTI7XdUK
  18. Jets aren't considered a team that scores a lot of points otherwise the spread would be greater. But still given the recent Bills performances, until they show me they can't at least not blown out, I'd take any half way decent team giving less than 10 points at home
  19. Because speed, technique and strength is so important in the NFL. The strategy of just getting big at evey position was flawed. Jaguars tried that and they stink. Agreed on spiller. Put so much as a fingertip on him and he goes down.
  20. Bingo. I like it except no more LBs after Rd1. WE already have an exess of mediocre ones. With McGee perhaps gone for good get another DB and a QB with unquestioned physical skills that fell out of higher rounds for some other reason.
  21. Yeap that's it. Ill conceived conversion to 3-4 has exhausted most of our high draft picks and FA acquisitions, the defense is now worse and the offense has an extreme talent deficit. What this team needed was fewell as DC running his 4-3, gailey as OC running whatever and a solid HC on top of them making both stayed away from the other's turf.
  22. I think smith wishes he were still a jet. His heart is just not into being a bill. After the jets game he was smiling and shaking hands with all the jets players. Bills jersey on him looked totally out of place.
  23. No he was wrong. He said something like we're a mediocre team with average players. He over rated us.
  24. You're right. I concluded after the Dallas game we are probably playing the worst football in the league right now
  25. Rash of injuries Lack of depth Losing vets to avoid paying them / way under cap Wasteful conversion to 3-4D which sapped our draft and free agent capacity Premature extension of Fitz No identity on defense Reasons behind this: Chan being a system guy on offense and defense Ralpl trying to build a winner on the cheap Nix way over rated as an assesor of talent and trying to prove his chargers heritage is superior Injury riddle methinks comes from working players too hard during the week -- I don't know there's something wrong here, too much of a pattern to deny
