  1. Didn't say he was. Objecting to your words that he's "clearly not" a franchise QB as if that were some kind of league-wide view. To me book is still open on him. What is clear is that he has a contract that's above market having been executed one year prior to the rookie cap. Accepting that and giving up a 2nd (which you take for granted) is unrealistic IMO
  2. If he's clearly not a franchise qb (which I don't agree), whose going to trade a 2nd for him and assume his monster contract?
  3. I think an investor would only be interested in the Jags IF they planned on moving them. The prospects for staying in Jacksonville are not attractive.
  4. Rams have too much invested in bradford to take on another. There's some risk vikes could give up on ponder after 1 year but I'll only believe it when I see it.
  5. Colts upset over Titans puts them in a precarious situation only one behind Rams and Vikes. Not sure how the tie breakers would work out, but it's now possible #1 overall (which had been assumed theirs) to go to someone else. They play last game at home vs Jags which would is a toss up. If they finish behind Rams and/or Vikes, neither may take a QB. That opens possibility for someone like Bills to trade into #1 or #2 overall. In this scenario if Manning is healthy, I could see Colts just staying at #2 or #3 and using the draft to provide supporting players for his remaining years. This opens door for someone like Bills to trade up and snatch Luck or RG3. OF COURSE Colts could also lose the final game under suspicious circumstances, which IMO should bring heavy fines and forfeiture of their 1st round pick if it can be proven they threw the game.
  6. I thought the 3-4 was a gailey decision. Seems more coach than GM. In any case he was a big reach for that reason. If they weren't changing the D they may have opted to take a chance on the injured gronk given the chronic TE deficit and the importance of gates to buddy's former offense in San Diego.
  7. Pick was more on holmes and the fumble was a busted play which may been LTs fault. For a guy who was wearing the eagles front 4 all afternoon because of the porous oline it could have been a lot worse
  8. Oops. Calling 15 yard unsportsmanlike like conduct on myself for plagiarism
  9. I took the wall street quote out because this team has had too many abyss moments over the years and hasn't found character I find this one from On the Waterfront more telling "You don't understand. I coulda had class. I coulda been a contender. I coulda been somebody, instead of a bum, which is what I am, let's face."

  11. Thing is Sanchez had a good game all things considered, jets can't pin this one on their usual whipping boy. Great deep ball to Keller o get them back in the game and threaded the needle between between 3 defenders on the Holmes TD. TD catch by plax was brilliant, don't recall him being that athletic with giants. This one's on the 2 units jets take most pride in: oline and defense.
  12. Lol I got a chuckle out of it. One needs a sense of humor as a Bills fan
  13. They said It stands now jets hold tie breaker
  14. Unvelievable that jets still control their destiny because titans lost to colts and Faiders can't hold a 4th qtr lead at home.
  15. Marv Albert is seriously out of it. Eagles fumble kickoff and he yelps out "jets yet another turn over!" After jets penalty Holmes catches short pass and is tackled a yard short of the original line of scrimmage which is 11 yards short of the 1st. Albert comments "Holmes brought down just short of the 1st."
  16. Lately its been "the next one"
  17. Saw him last year against pats in NE and thought he looked awesome. He'll definitely get interest because everyone knows you're not going to sit rodgers and packets have a reputation now for spotting and nurturing qb talent.
  18. you're right. But I think there are 4 major qb candidates at this time - luck rg3 and barkley in the draft + Flynn from packers who'll be a free agent. I could see bills going after him too. "just lose baby" mantra started later this year than last so I guess theres some progress.

  20. At this point I can't forecast us beating anyone. 5 & 11 is a real possibility even if pats rest starters. But I see your point about qb hungry teams drafting ahead of us. But losing Miami sets us up to draft ahead of them. Losing out could out chiefs ahead of us too. Now we're down to browns and colts so one of the big 3 .. Luck rg3 or barkley .. could be there. I don't see us passing. Also Flynn from packers will be a free agent and someone could satisy their qb appetite with him.
  21. I wish we were picking 3rd again. With rams 2nd and how much they have invested in bradford odds would be high we get luck or RG3
  22. We need that to be higher. Based on whose coming out and whose certain to draft ahead of us, I think we need to draft no lower than 7th overall. There are 7 teams currently with worse records that could overtake us by seasons end: panthers, Chiefs, browns, jaguars, eagles, fins and bucs.
  23. How about a run some time ? Give spiller a chance.
