  1. I personally saw him lay an egg in the playoffs more than once in SD. After he left they were as good with rivers. And all the compliments you paid Brees are certainly true of manning.
  2. Brees is a system guy. I could see manning doing just as well if not better there.
  3. Colts would exercise their option not to sign manning. he'd have no contract and be A free agent and agree to a new deal.
  4. Who sold her the pot? Who sold her the Vodka?
  5. Top Tier Jets - if they think they're only a QB away from winning now and Sanchize is what's holding them back. Redskins - not a player away from winning it all, but they need a QB and have a history for high profile FA signings. Miami - have a lot of pieces in place, new coach may lobby for addressing QB right away. Browns - if Holgrem brought in Jake Delhome, surely Manning is worth considering. Hasn't had an elite QB since Favre Broncos - might shock some, but Elway knows Tebow will never be elite. They're already a playoff team, why not land a HoF QB to take them even further? Cardinals - could just eat the costs of the to-this-point failed Kolb experiment and get an elite QB to get the ball to their elite WR Fitzgerald. Possible, but less probable Chiefs - that's where Montana was put out to pasture Jags - may think Gabbert needs more time to sit and learn. But I doubt Peyton goes to a place where he's seen as keeping the seat warm for someone else. Buffalo - he's a dream QB for Chan, but too many "buts" when you're talking Buffalo (not a QB away, Ralph is cheap, Peyton may not want to play here, etc) Bucs - QB regressed from playoff team a year ago to 4 & 12 Seattle: year 3 put up or shut up time for their high profile coach. Do they really think Tavaris is the answer ?
  6. If she had a lot of Mary Jane in her system, why don't they go all out to find out whom she got it from? Wouldn't that answer a lot of questions?
  7. I nominate Metallica's "The Day that Never Comes"
  8. There are a lot of unexplained "interference" signals against Bills when they play Pats
  9. Cool. Were you a good wingman helping him score ?
  10. I'm almost Always on the side of acquiring the troubled player whose in good health, because you can usually get a deal on them and limit your downside. But not this time. Dudes a head case, he's had multiple chances to grow up and repeatedly blown them. Now that jets have made him a rich man I see his faults only getting worse.
  11. Theyre between a rock and a hard place, which is good The other alternative is trying to trade him someone who's willing to eat part of his contract, and get a late round pick for him. One thing I'd say for sure, if Jets want to send a message they're serious about putting teamwork first and winning a super bowl, they have to part ways with him.
  12. Never won the big one in 17 seasons. His former team had 3 more wins in its first season without him, and only missed the playoffs due to tie breaker rules. He's a defensive minded coach in and increasingly offense minded league. Seriously does anyone see a team he coaches having an offense like either of the #1 seeds this year packer or patriots?
  13. Polian said he got canned for not developing a qb behind manning. In a way you have to sympathize with him because manning had been an iron man for so long, you just want to surround him with as many tools as possible while he's in his prime. If manning comes back it won't be with indy. It's not in the DNA of guys like that to keep the seat warm for someone else.
  14. "Mr. Pouty" had a rather pedestrian 654 yards. Tellingly his replacement Turner scored a TD on the drive Holmes came out. His production can be replaced for not a lot of money.
  15. Guaranteed portion of Holmes contract remaining is 7.75. Not impossible to cut him. IMO they have to make a decision btw Sanchez and Holmes. Does anyone really think they can co-exist? Whatt if they roll the dice next year and in week 3 the same crap starts? Now they're really screwed.
  16. All of this makes Ryan look worse and worse.
  17. I have a feeling the merriman debacle sent nix packing. Whiffing on Williams condition didn't help eiher.
  18. I think he'd have a difficult time being accepted as an HC again in the NFL. In both other instances he seemed in over his head in the limelight. Why do you think chan was comfortable making him DC?
  19. With a limping Ben and mendenhall out anyhing can happen. Depends a lot on steelers success running with a backup. Steelers neatly got beat by browns yesterday, they're vulnerable.
  20. You think shepard can handle solb?
  21. Rex saving his job by making small concession on naming Holmes captain. The real issues are a) sticking w/ Schottenheimer @ OC and b) Rex's supposed elite defense falling apart in the final 3 weeks.
  22. yeah, the disasterous move to 3-4 was all Edwards fault. Had nothing to do w/ Chans decision in the first place knowing we had 4-3 personel. So the answer is replacing him with a 4-3 defense coach? lol @ Chan the politician
  23. Free shavers that D-bag Kraft has been handing out to the zebras are sure paying big dividends.
