  1. More I think about it less I think this is about thig than it is about fitz. VY doesn't have the make up of a backup. He freaked out after getting benched in tenn and stunk off the bench in Philly. If they were sold on fitz theyd stay with a dud like thig or a young developmental guy like tanney
  2. If he out plays fitz and earns the starting position making the team better, it's to the teams benefit. To elaborate on Skips point, by the end of the season AFC E starting QBs could be Brady, young, Tebow and tannehill
  3. They keep billing it as competition for thigpen. IMO its a clear replacement for thigpen and competition for fitz
  4. If bills have best record in NFL when the world ends on 12-21 I'm counting that as a super bowl victory. No other fair way to award it.
  5. Plax is a truck, not fast and not a good route runner. His speciality is red zone, like another TE. And he's quite good at it but nonetheless limited. Braylon was the more complete player and he's a lot younger. Again the question is one of health. I don't see plax having any role in gaileys system, Braylon health permitting could.
  6. What production issues? His career stats are superior to a donte stallworh, for example, (convicted of vehicular manslaughter, suspended for a year). However no health issues and now a patriot. Moss was a invisible last time he played over a year ago. Probably the most troubled higher profile WR of his era. But now healthy and employed.
  7. Look around the league. Plenty of guys with " character issues" have jobs. braylons had some very big years and plax, his replacement on the jets, was no where as effective. My guess is his injury is a lot worse than is being publicly presented.
  8. Hey we split with them last year and had a chance of sweeping until Stevie decided to do something stupid again. We nearly beat giants on road too until fitzy's mishap. We can beat anyone
  9. Yeah smith is a KR too. Don't want to get graham or one of the DBs hurt doing that. + wildcat flexibility. I think smith is safe no matter. Its thigpen most obviously on the bubble and fitz too but less so, even though they won't admit the latter.
  10. I see where you're coming from and it's not like on some kind of Palmer fan. But I think Palmer at his best > fitz at his best. And since I don't think fitz has what it takes (would love to be proven wrong since he's our guy this season), I opted for Palmer. Hasselback I like too, very athlletic and under rated. Been deeper in playoffs than Palmer or fitz. But at his age I opted to stay with fitz, conceding its a close call.
  11. Here's the dreaded helmet to helmet where Romanowski shattered kerry Collins jaw http://www.sportsdds.com/images/BroncoHit2.jpg This shows how defenders lead with the top of the helmet. Conversely getting hit is typically on the side or jaw. By making the top center strip the soft material they can reduce the damage from helmet to helmet and leave in place the hard material needed for protection in the most commonly hit areas.
  12. Why not make the center strip of the helmet the soft material? Thats the part defenders hit offense players with on helmet to helmet.
  13. What's been missing in the stories about nfl deaths, CTE and suicides, is a comparison to society as a whole. Without that we have no way of knowing if NFL stuff is excessively high.
  14. From what I remember the favoritism Shulas fins got back then makes the officiating pats and Brady get now look Fair and balanced by comparison
  15. Lol @ carter trying to remain relevant. I despise romo but some times his candor towards other players is highly amusing. Truth is for the most part carter is quite weak and lacks identity among nfl analysts.
  16. Romo on the herd just now said he didn't say anything to carter.
  17. Since the bounty was on that DBag romonowski i see it helping Carter's chances
  18. Lol yeah with cousins putting up the cash
  19. Reading an article on Cousins today he's already talking about playing someone where else: Cousins isn't naive. He said things like, "If I'm as good as I hope to be someday, then I'm going to get that opportunity whether here or somewhere else," and he talked about having "a great relationship" with Griffin "for as long as we're teammates and beyond that, if or when someday we're not." That situation is so messed up. I wonder what it would take to trade with skins for him now. Next years 3rd + conditional 7th? He'd be so psyched to get rescued out of there. Much better prospects of displacing fitz in starting role than RG3, who owns it for probably 3 years
  20. Exciting times for Fred and the family. Well earned and well deserved. Congrats !
  21. Once a determination is made your QB is unlikely to get you a ring, it makes all the sense in the world to give someone else a chance where the ceiling could be a lot higher. That is of course if you set your sights on winning. Asking me if i play Poker when you have no clue about strategy. Stick to pocket pool, no strategy there. Lol
  22. Almost no one will argue fitz was an upgrade to losman and Edwards. But those guys are crap, beating them out hardly qualifies a QB as elite. SJ getting seperation on Revis HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH FITZ. Stop blaming the line and not giving WRa any credit. Your fitz man-love has me believing you're his relative.
  23. In your chosen 10 year period no journeyman backup with a weak arm has won a ring. Now go back your pocket pool lol
