Dark Knight Rises - Midnight Screening Roll-Call
truth on hold replied to ajzepp's topic in Off the Wall Archives
How bizarre and horrible the mass murder in a colorado theatre. Good grief what's gone wrong in this country? http://www.ottawacitizen.com/touch/story.html?id=6963990 -
How cool is this? Animal crossing bridge over highways. Saving animals from gruesome death, reducing the macabre road scenes and accident risk, re-establishing the animals natural range and adding some green back to the environment. I love it! http://i.imgur.com/frDiZ.jpg

Budget Deadline Missed- Again
truth on hold replied to B-Large's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
"Rarely even notice" me? this from the goofball who loudly boasted how he was going to harrass me off the board and has been following me around ever since. What was that? Over a year & half and 3,000 posts from you ago? Well I'm still here posting away . Descending on you whenever I feel like it, smashing and kicking you in the face with golf spikes on. Exposing you for the impotent, sackless, fragile, waste of breath that you are. Just look no further than this thread. I asked a Jim a question and you uninvited started in on me with: "The content is a half-assed conglomeration of unfounded assumptions and cherry-picked facts designed to elicit a specific response in the reader, not to inform. In other words: it's an editorial, not news. It also illustrates your idiocy: you THINK you're informed, simply because you read "alternative" news sources, that provide the "information" the mass media doesn't report. All that does is make you contrarian. "Contrarian" isn't "informed" - disagreeing with the common wisdom doesn't make you smarter, it just makes you disagreeable. You can still disagree and be an inveterate moron. As you so amply demonstrate." --------------- Since your credibility was shot right from the opening sentence of your latest post, I won't even bother addressing the rest of the inane, poorly conceived nonsense. Matter of fact, you're such a waste of time, I'll probably leave you alone again, for the time being anyway. Let you go back to your small circle of admirers with similar mental limitations and damaged psyches. Patting each other on the back for making the same ad naseum, valueless, stupid ass posts. Harrassing and name calling anyone offering the slightest challenge, cuz you can't f#cking think straight enough to make a reasoned counter argument. So go back, back to your your comfort zone, where it's "safe" for you to come out. Just don't get too comfortable, because remember, whenever I feel like it's for you. -
"You picked a fine time to leave me Lucille" So bad even cornball Kenny rogers mocks it on stage

Funny how this isolated so much support for Paul yet he was marginalized by his own party and chastised by supposed right-leaning news like fox. We need government run national referendum polls in this country. Non binding like they do in Germany but it would stick a big FU in the face of the politicians who arent representing views of americans, being held captive to big monied special interest groups and agenda-driven media elites. And provided ammunition for the tiny minority that are fairly representing the people.

I imagine he'll characterize his first 4 years as cleaning up the mess inherited from bush, made more difficult by republican obstructionists in senate and congress. And represent his 2nd term as the time to more fully implement his plan and ideals. But he better not overplay this 2nd part, he'll risk alienating alot of centristss who'll view that as moving too far left.

Michael Floyd - For whats it's worth...

Youre right, if hes being a lazy ass then get on him. But thats still no reason to assume he should otherwise be established as a big time receiving target at this very early stage in his NFL career. -

Nearly any published media has a "bias". That doesn't necessarily invalidate it. In fact, an open point counter-point discussion is often the best way to reduce bias and reach a more objective conclusion. This author has value because a) he uses real numbers and b) he provides a good counter to the proponents of big military spending who justify it as a tool of job creation. Well "defense" is not supposed to create jobs. And that same justification about government spending as a source of job creation is the one attacked by right-wing defense spenders when it comes to the left's government sponsored jobs acts! Example: someone like you who tries to hold himself up as a bastion of free market conservative capitalism, yet aggressively defends the warfare state! f@cking hypocrit, probably derive some of your income from defense contracts. Which would make the thought of government defense spending all the more disturbing, going to a clown like you. You see I don't bother with you all that much, partly because you're not smart, original or insightful. Just a run-of-the-mill partisan hypocrit whose simple mind can't deal with someone like me not easily boxed by popular partisan labels. You think you're some kind of all-purpose know-it-all when you're only displaying your superficial ignorance. I still get a chuckle out of your posts in the facebook IPO thread stating that private stocks are subject to insider-TRADING rules and "Chinese Walls. LOL Further showing your ignorance thinking I don't have Series 7 & 63 licences (which I did but are probably no longer active since Ive been out of the industry for a while) and that the only position on Wall Street that requires them is a broker, something Ive never been. Congrats, you won the trifecta of uninformed idiocy! Unlike you, I purposely go out of my way to seek out articulated view points that I know may differ than mine. It's how one remains challenged and fresh. for example, I read Paul Krugman's op-ed pieces when I get a chance because I know he comes from a different school of thought than me, but he also provides challenging arguments. So I either a) learn something or b) better articulate my own views. As opposed to an insecure dope like you who seeks the saftey of the herd. And like any member of in-bred group ends up retarded. And actually your insecurity points to the main reason I don't bother with you all that much. In addition to having nothing to offer, you're an emotional wreck. On one hand you have a desperate need to feel intellectually superior, and on the other an equally desperate need to be thought of as witty and accepted as popular .... in addition to incompatible goals, they're Quixotic in your case because you don't have goods to achieve either. So the endless stream of unsubstantiated labelling and name calling, or redundant lame ass attempts at humor. You're a psychological basket case and a bore. And I'm not here to coddle the insecure needs of someone beyond help. But lately I'm in a bit of an ornery mood, probably because of the election politics, and I'm looking for easy targets to stomp on. TAG .... you're it. -

Yeah really they need to get off the guys nuts. He wasn't even a top 10 pick yet he's supposed to have established himself as a franchise-saver already ? -
Because BO's no where near Romney's income category and wouldnt have used the same tax strategies. Romney loses in the public perception of a tit for tat exchange. This is a juicy win-win issue for Obama - Romney shows more and they create a stir over his effective rate and use of loopholes - or he doesn't and it casts an air of suspicion he's hiding something. They'll milk it for all they can just like repubs would if shoe was on other foot.

Well the good news he's 78 and still get wood, but probably done in by his age and not knowing how to search the internet for porn from the comfort of his own home . Going to a sleazy little theater to get a porn fix is just sooooooo old school Lol @ his next movie titled "the yank"

That a guy who made a sh#tload of money used overseas investments and loopholes (whatever that means) to legally lower his tax bill. So what? This is not an issue like some keep trying to make it. But hey the right had plenty of blood on their hands with this kind of crap, saying Obama is a Muslim and his birth certificate is faked.stuff many are trying to dredge up again. Same unsubstantiated, slanderous crap from both parties in the face of america facing the most serious financial crisis in its history.

Biggest Thtreat To The Economy

The federal deficit and in particular our inability to curtail the discretionary defense part. The more popular public debate of who pays what in taxes is relatively inconsequential, its primarily a spending issue. -

Pit bulls are scary as sh#t. I was playing in a pickup basketball in Brooklyn and one of the guys brought his pitbull. I get into A very minor shoving match with him on court. Thankfully his dog was on a chain. It gives me the cold death stare of the terminator. And vertically launches itself to eye level. Freaky athletic like flying shark mouth. Would have done the Miami cannibal on me if it wasnt chained. -

Probably 9/11. I was 500 yards away and heard the 1st plane fly over the roof and smash into the n tower. I was outside on the street somewhat closer when the 2 main towers fell . The scariest individual part was being part of the volunteer group to go down and search the smoldering wreckage for survivors in the afternoon. One hand I felt obligated but on the other I'd be lying of I said I wasn't scared sh#tless over what I'd find or what danger I'd be in. We'll never know because the truck carrying volunteers turned around when tower 7 imploded as they were driving to the site, and all excursions were called off after that. The whole experience seeing 1st hand the power of weapons and machines man can create but not control is probably the most disturbingly scary thought I came away with. -
Are you talking about aliens from another planet ? I disagree on the economy, outside of the debates "they" can't go there. But in general you're right. At the moment they have everyone focused on MRs returns or Bain experience, the right is even more distracted than the left. This is bad for MR, he can't get a posiive message out when he's always on the defensive. These early scrapes are important, we pretty much know what each candste will say.In the debates. I don't expect any decisive turning points. MR is getting closer to only hoping for the economy to get a lot weaker in the next 3 months to pull off a win Something outside of his sphere of influence. Not a good place
