because theyve been really FREAKING GOOD for over a dozen years now. 6 Super Bowl Appearances (starting w/ Parcells), 3 wins, dominated division. Best QB in the game (IMO, top 3 worst case anyone elses), one of best coaches of all time, had a good offseason ... who the heck would bet against that train rolling off the tracks?

Well she's alone so we know what it's not. My guess there's a pic of stallone we can't see in the uncut grass from that angle she keeps hocking a loogie on -
"Girls go crazy for picnics in a park, and Brigitte Nielsen is no exception. In fact she spent Saturday afternoon in the park getting drunk on discount vodka, rolling around in the dirt, spitting, spitting some more, smoking, then walking on a little trail behind the bushes which would be totally normal if she were a duck." http://m.wwtdd.com/pl/2012/08/brigitte-nielsen-is-doing-great/

And let's not forget why the son was in lehigh in the first place. Reid set him up with a job as asst strength coach, presumably to help get his life back in order and be nearer to him, which a lot of people are citing as a failure on his part. The outward signs are that reid and the eagles did their best to help him out.

Romney's Viet Nam Record is VERY DISTURBING
truth on hold replied to truth on hold's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Sure I get that and it worked for Reagan getting soviets to blink, but this romney's coming across as a different cat to me. As aggressive and singularly focused as he was at Bain (which I dont fault him for and rather have defended) I can see him being the same way on foreign policy, which I don't want. Gotta show judgement here, reagan showed a strong hand to the soviets calculating they'd fold, which they did, thereby lessening the chances of a catastrophic super power confrontation. I call that good judgement. Going head first into wars with blinders on what Im starting to see Romney do, I call wreckless leading to disaster at home and abroad. -
Romney's Viet Nam Record is VERY DISTURBING

Well yeah but all we can do is make educated guesses based on what they say now and what they've done in the past. I wreckoned what hes saying was pretty much baked in the cake no matter who got the nod (sans Paul): BOs weak on defense, doesn't know economics, will raise your taxes, will attack traditional values, blah blah. Just like dems would attack repub with slave to big business, will shift tax burden from rich to poor, will pursue a wreckless bush-like foreign policy blah blah. So I figured that was platform rhetoric from Romney and I wasn't giving it a lot of weight. And certainly BO has disappointed me by not being a leader and getting sucked into a neocon agenda too, is another reason I didn't see a huge divide between them here. But when you add romneys words now with his actions then, it paints a picture of a war hawk who pumps others to fight while he uses every trick in the book to keep his own nuts out of harms way. No that's not what I want as president. As much as I wanted to like Romney becusse my views on economy are more inline with his (although not totally), his foreign policy stuff is pushing me back to BO for 2 reasons : 1. Specter of more irresponsible foreign wars 2. Given the costs of war ($1 trillion in iraq) you can't seperate it from the economy. It will crater the best free market agenda. -
Again i concede I'm making assumptions too, whereas I get the venting on the sons in question (didn't know there were 2 in trouble), i don't buy into Reid having to give up his career for 2 kids who seem wholly unappreciative of their privileges, and how do we even know if he spent more time with them it would have made any difference? Most kids would love it of their dad was HC in the NFL. And the large majority of those that do have them dont seem to have these kinds of problems. I just think it further adds to a parents misery blaming them for the actions CHOSEN by a derelict kid.

Romney's Viet Nam Record is VERY DISTURBING

I'm concerned what someone who has a hypocritical pro-war attitude but goes to great lengths not fighting them (to the point of abusing his religion in avoidance) may do as president; the position with the greatest influence on what conflicts we engage in. -

Wow Doc, jump right to a "what about the Democrats?!!" evasive maneuver. You really think Romney's record is so undefendable you have to hit the panic button so quickly? Sighting a guy he's not even running against? Wow just wow -
As stated, I see the tax issue as bogus unless he did something illegal. And I haven't seen any of main antagonists like Reid even make that accusation. But his hypocrisy on Viet Nam - on one hand attending pro-war rallies, while on the other using his religious affiliation to avoid being drafted - is very unsettling. I thought all his war talk was playing to the neocon audience, designed to make Obama look "weak on defense", and draw in big bucks from donors like pro-Israel hawk Sheldon Adelson. But his actions going back to his undergrad days at Stanford show he really may be a big war supporter, while callously avoiding the conflicts he supports. Abusing his own religion toward that end. This is speaks VERY BAD for what he may do as President IMO. "Though an early supporter of the Vietnam War, Romney avoided military service at the height of the fighting after high school by seeking and receiving four draft deferments, according to Selective Service records. They included college deferments and a 31-month stretch as a "minister of religion" in France, a classification for Mormon missionaries that the church at the time feared was being overused." Romney's (non) military record faces new scrutiny

Maybe the Mayans were on to something.

Ive stated previously if bills have best record overall and assuming we have some warning time to end being imminent, I'm counting that as a bills super bowl victory. Technicality I know, but it's the fairest way to do it. If I'm going down I at least want some peace of mind bills got their ring. -
If there ever was life on mars its likely long gone by now with the absence of an atmosphere and dried up water beds. The far more promising places are moons like titan and Europa of jupiter, the latter likely having a large and warm ocean underneath its surface that could support life. Be unprecenfted on earth if there weren't life in such an environment. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Europa_(moon) They act like a billion dollar mission to address these most intriguinimg and fundamental questions is a stretch, when its nothing compared to the trillions we spend on eveything else annually.

Rex warns Bills to be ready for Tebow
truth on hold replied to Stevie Ray's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hopefully gailey doesn't let Rex get into his head like last year and just ignores him. And all kidding aside, if I could pick jets starter id pick Sanchez. Think he's a bum and you know exacty what you're going to Get from him. Tebow is more unknown , a "wildcard" perhaps ". Demonstrably much better leadership traits than Sanchez, the latter residing over the most Messed up locker room in nfl, openly feuding with #1 WR and taking heat from others in the media. Jets have leadership vacuum with him as starting qb. I also thought tevows much maligned aRm looked pretty darn good in last years playoff win over steelers, he showed a lot of progress. One game fluke or lasting improvement from technique work, I don't know. Another resson I'd rather face that dud Sanchez. -

Band you've listened to most often
truth on hold replied to truth on hold's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Its funny, if they would have asked my favorite band, I wouldnt said Metallica. Theyd be on the shortlist along with several others, but with no clear winner. But the question was who do I listen to most over the years, and it wasnt even close. They have such an extensive library of powerful tracks, many with extended lengths of >7 mins, just do the trick like no one else. Too busy collecting $100 million+ --------------- Hannity's new syndication contract, announced Monday (July 21), calls for his afternoon Talk program to be syndicated via ABC Radio Networks (owned by Citadel) through the end of the year. But in December, Premiere will take over syndication of the three-hour program to all non-Citadel-owned stations and lead the advertising sales. Hannity's contract with ABC Radio Networks expired recently and rumors have been swirling every since. For Premiere, grabbing Hannity gives the radio network a blockbuster afternoon Talk block beginning with Rush Limbaugh at Noon, followed by Hannity at 3 p.m. While Limbaugh reportedly got a $400 million contract over eight years with Premiere, Hannity's was somewhat less, about $100 million over the next five years, according to various reports. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/mobileweb/2008/07/21/sean-hannity-gets-100-mil_n_114026.html -------- Gets huge payout while enjoying press protections to spew garbage hate mongering and beating the drums of war to the ignorant masses. That's a Better deal than any politician!

Well with these latest posts from TYTT, think it's time to bow out. They speak volumes without me needing to comment. He and some others are getting closer to the edge, and I think we can all agree last thing we need is another crazy with guns running around out there. note however how all this has highlighted the disturbing but obvious inverse relationship between gun love and intelligence. But I never intended to take over this block anyway. Just borrow it, burn it down and they can have it back.
