Did Chan pull the plug too early On Vince Young?
truth on hold replied to PS 56's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes first critical mistake was extending fitz which negated our chance to sign Flynn, for a lot less money and a lot more hope. -

YES. But realistically VY never really had a chance to fit in chans system anyway. Its unfortunate because wed have much better prospects with an athlete of his caliber -
Rodney Harrison: Mario Will Never Win In Buffalo
truth on hold replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's a 100% spot on focusing on the weakness at QB as the critical limiting factor. Lost in all the hype this summer was this hole at the most important position. However he doesn't know if Mario wanted to go to a more legit contender for $20 million less. That's a lot of money to leave on the table for a guy working on his last big contract. -
Was Mario being a crybaby, you be the judge

Except if youre an experienced bills guard. Apparently the replacements have scrum-thru vision goggles allowing them see thru other players to make sure our guards are 100% clean at all times. On Williams, Yes I want our players to stand up for themselves, on and off the field. Tactics like that heavily favor the OT and that's why they're strictly enforced. Williams is not known as a trouble maker or whiner, he's been around and has a lot of credibility. You dont get respect and change keeping your mouth shut. Giants players said the same things. -

Cromartie Comments On The Bills Offense
truth on hold replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Related question: cromartie scores TD and untouched by any bills defender does a somersault to the turf in celebration. Shouldnt that be a penalty like on SJ in that same stadium last year ? -
Fitzmagic, more like Fitzpathetic

After cutting him the big check Chan and nix egos won't let them cut Fitz. That would be admitting a big mistake and shine a light on all their acltivities since taking over. I don't like coach carroll but i fully embraced his rule of who plays has nothing to do with what they're getting paid. Its all about merit. -

That's what's had been missing in all the preseason hype this team got: who's going to play quarterback ? -
[closed]Fitzpatrick apologists apology thread
truth on hold replied to Maury Ballstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hopefuls been worst of all by far. Its about time he makes amends. Any time someone raised the slightest doubt on Fitz hed mock them, drone on with tired list of excuses including scapegoating the WRs and oline, and offering up the same cherry picked stats. -
Watching P. Manning/Big Ben....
truth on hold replied to filthymcnasty08's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree and I think brees even more so due to consistently more uptempo pace. But those guys aren't here. You have to be flexible and use the guys that are available and you can win with. No system is so good it justifies putting on the field guys without NFL talent. More irony: combined Ben has been to as many super bowls (3) and has as many wins (2) as Manning and brees combined. -

yeap, and if Ben came into compete against Fitz as an unknown, I honestly think in chans way of assessing QBs he doesnt win the job. Chans committment to his system isolates book smart guys at the extreme expense of athletic talent and play making. -
BIgger Disappointment: Defense or Fitz
truth on hold replied to Boludo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's kind of a trick quick because I can't really be disappointed in Fitz since I've been saying all along how bad he is, and even in preseason got out played by young and thigpen. So he was who I thought he was: someone who has no business starting NFL QB. Given that answer has to be defense. But the catch is the defense has talent and I expect them to get better as they adjust yo all the new faces, scheme and coach. Fitz on the other hand has no where to go -
Hill unfortunately could be the real deal. I was afraid of that and wanted to draft him. You can't coach that kind of size and speed, much less effectively defend it. And Holmes is a big time NFL with all the tricks. During his first game on a day when the line was getting no pressue and the O kept turning over the ball, you can't damn him

Jackson suffers LCL injury,nothing conclusive...

Overall fred is the better back. But spillers more effective against jets because his speed to outside. Jets are very tough up the middle. -

I opposed the extension. Thought bills should keep their options open. Started having my doubts in Bengals game and turned skeptic with pics he three during giants loss. That game was a clear dichotomy of a qb with a real NFL arm (Eli) and a journeyman backup like fitz. -
I think 2.5, so I voted 1-2. Sanchez ais fairly mobile and under duress Tebow can still eek out a couple positive yards. + I think if it becomes clear early on Jets Oline cant handle Bills P-Rush, they quickly switch to running, screens and play action. Even if Bills way ahead (unlikely against Jets D) dont see it as a blowout where Jets will have to commit to all passing/deep drops.
