after the $^@% show on MNF and this guy comes out with a statement like this, I am seriously getting suspicious something is going on Roger Goodell: Our officials do an extraordinary job http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000593138/article/roger-goodell-our-officials-do-an-extraordinary-job And why, why do the worst calls always come late in close games?

NFL QBs that could be available in 2016
truth on hold replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
you mean like how Gailey and Nix "put the ball in Fitz hands" for 4 losing seasons. How about when a guy doesnt have it, we cut our losses? BTW bringing in someone new doesn't mean releasing the coveted Tyrod, it's just getting some competition in here. New Vet + TT + Rookie ... works for me -

I dont place much stock in those ratings, especially when you see some of the true elites behind him. I'd take Kaepernick over TT in a heart beat, on what I anticipate will be decent terms next season. CK has a stronger arm, is tall and can see the entire field, and he's even a better runner (at least he can take a defender on for that extra yard when he needs it.) Kaepernick took a team deep in the playoffs, and was just one catch away from a super bowl victory (reality that should have been PI). SF has turned into a %@$ show that I'm not sure how anyone could thrive in. Guy definitely deserves a 2nd chance somewhere else -
I'd want Kaepernick. Here's my view per division and reasons why AFC East We'd only want Brady and he won't be available. North Flacco, ben, dalton ....none will be available South Luck ...won't be available. West Manning might be available but he's ready for the glue factory NFC East Outside chance at Romo being available (depending who they draft), but he may not be worth it given age and injury history RG3 will be available...id be interested on the right terms. Looked better in the pocket than Taylor. Bradford could be available, and might be worth it on right terms. North Cutler will be, not a fan but on right terms why not? Stafford some say will be available, but I highly doubt it. If by chance he were I'd be on it South Like stafford some say brees could be available, I highly doubt it. He's old but on right terms why not? West Foles? This would be his 3rd team in as many years, no thanks. Kaepernick likely on the block. I'd be on it. In fact all things considered ....cost, age, potential...that's who I'd prioritize

Wtf? There were 3 shooters in a coordinated attack. Who would launch a coordinated attack on a center for people with disabilities? I don't think islamists would waste opportunity on that. Ex-employees? Extreme supremists who want to "cleanse" society of them? This is weird -
Former NYS Senate Majority Leader Skelos

Gotta hand it to them, NY Post comes up with best titles. "Dean and Adam Skelos may as well be jailed right now" After a jury body-slammed Sheldon Silver this week, the only real question left for Dean and Adam Skelos at their trial across the street is: What size orange jumpsuit do you wear, fellas? http://nypost.com/2015/12/02/dean-and-adam-skelos-may-as-well-be-jailed-right-now/ -

Although I would quibble over some of them, its a good historical list. But who do you see available for next season that would apply? And at what cost? Heres my take. AFC East We'd only want Brady and he won't be available. North Flacco, ben, dalton ....none will be available Central Luck ...won't be available. West Manning might be available but he's ready for the glue factory NFC East Outside chance at Romo being available (depending who they draft), but he may not be worth it given age and injury history RG3 will be available...id be interested on the right terms. Who do you think should be 2015 NFL MVP?

Cam front runner, Watt with outside chance if Texans go on a run and make playoffs -
have you agreed on a standard definition of "terrorism"? do you include state actions that target civilians, or are simply indifferent to civilian casualties? I would. Do you weight the degree of "corruptability" of a religion, state, ethnic or socioeconomic class, etc. etc. ... by number of followers? If for example it's a religion and it only has 1,000 followers, but we all agree that 500 of them are terrorists, that's 50% terror rate. Does that make it more dangerous than Islam which has something like 1.5 billion followers, but far less than 50% terror rate? How do you factor in the cause and effect/blowback of one group's terror activities against anothers? I dont know, a lot of stuff to sort thru ... that's why I tend to focus on things we can do better like not militarily intervening in foreign affairs, be it direct or thru corrupt allies

golf fans -- is Tiger Woods done?
truth on hold replied to truth on hold's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I don't think it was PEDs. He was at the fore front of wanting golfers tested. I think he just over trained. I read on tournament days when be had late afternoon tee times he would lift weights and jog in the morning. Way too much on the body, especially with how hard he used to swing at it. -
A better mathematical relationship would be "bush=Obama". Both had an instrumental role in destabliziing the region leading to the elevation of terrorist groups. Bush just did it with boots on the ground, Obama mainly thru support of our " allies" in places like Libya and Syria.

It's just sad. When he was in the thick of his run, who would have thought his marriage and golf career would end like this. -
Gronk out with a knee injury

Something was weird in that game. If Goodell has a means to retaliate for the leagues defeat at deflategatw its thru the officials. -

truth on hold replied to Doug Flutie Band's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He was OK and it was worth the gamble, but IMO he was never the same post-injury. His throwing motion was slingy looking making him prone to short sliders, and he wouldn't stand as long in the pocket and take a hit to make a completion -

No Sammy though who as we've seen is the only quality WR we have -

You raise a good point about coaching/grooming. TT had several years to watch and learn from a super bowl winner. If someone really has talent that can accelerate their development...Rodgers in green bay, and now looks like Brock in Denver. This excuse about only "x" starts we keep hearing is poor. -
Apparently in addition to 3 mile stretch of border, they also can't stop jihadists by the thousands flying into their main airport, and using old military bases on Turkish soil to setup camps.

Funny that's what TT reminds me of...a promising HS player.
