  1. First was just a bad play by the defender. Down means down not forward right at the offense. The 2nd was more comparable. Neither strategy ... go for pick or knock it away is fool proof ... its all about playing the odds. And for me it seems a lot simpler to break a play up than go for an INT. I'm sure there are plenty of examples of a defender going for an INT and losing the battle with a WR too.
  2. There was a moment in there when Tate had just as much control over it as Jennings. I would think if that coincides with calling it down there's a good case for dual possession and a TD
  3. You're providing good food for thought. This isn't as black and white an INT as most think.
  4. Where? Do you have video? I'd like to see how comparable they were
  5. No obviously he didn't have sole possession, not from the refs view which is all that matters. Do I think it should have been called an INT? Yes I do. Am I 100% certain? No I'm not. A lot of micro timing is at place determining when either player is ruled down and who has possession .. defender, receiver or dual. Defense loses in 2 of the 3 rulings. With a lot of room for human error. That's why batting it down is what they're taught .... as soon as the ball hits the ground game over.
  6. Jennings made a mistake though catching it in the first place. Should have batted it down. I think that's what they're coached to do in that situation to avoid something like this
  7. Wow. Sure looked like a pick to me. But how can they blame replacements when all scoring plays are reviewed?
  8. he only looked good by comparison to what we've seen from him in the past. reality he doesn't have the speed or physicality to be a stand out at that position. For Bills D to be elite they'll need someone like a Brian Cushing at that spot, someone who can play sideline to sideline and bury the ball carrier once he makes contact ... not saying an untouchable like Matthews or Willis. Even Poz would have had a chance to fill the need behind the current line
  9. Bunch of losers. Nice example they set for the kids, huh? Morons
  10. And losing stars just dilutes the overall quality of play throughout the league too. Love everything about football but the injuries
  11. Adding insult to injury is belly ache was wrong there. Call was not reviewable. He's tugging on the ref and doesn't even know the rules
  12. Gilmore is getting picked on because hes a rookie and hes more than holding his own. Isn't a DB in the league doesn't give up TDs. And I have no idea where he was ".... was taken out on several running plays" comes from. Browns ran 13x, 33 yards total, 2.5 avg. I hope he gets 'taken out" every week if we give up those kind of #'s on run defense
  13. here's the video. no one touches him, it's a grass field, knee doesn't bend too severely, he walks off on his own. If not for the reports i would think its just a sprain or something http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000065046/article/darrelle-revis-out-of-jets-game-with-knee-injury?module=HP11_headline_stack&module=HP11_hot_topics
  14. Oh no I hate jets but still don't wish those kind of things on players.
  15. I guess theres some good news they're calling it shoulder and not collar bone like some thought. If its worst case separation how long could he be out?
  16. That's the one pass Fitz does well
  17. More like garage full of bentleys with what they're paying that scrub
  18. They look like 3rd stringers in preseason, too bad they're not playing against 3rd string
  19. Bills out scored 14-3 since spiller out. Bills better turn this around quickly
  20. Exactly. 3rd and 3 with running game clicking ? Put it in Fitz hands
  21. Benjamin's hair got in the way
  22. Thankfully or it would have been picked
