I never bought into Anderson being the prophet some thought. His performance has been up and down and this is his third team. If he were a marquee stud he wouldn't bounce around so often. I think he's good not great and is performing relative to my expectations.

Hey NS how is martez Wilson working out for saints? I'll be first to admit I overweight physical talent over "intangibles" and thought he had it all over shepperd. I wanted bills to take him instead.

Mars new winter destination?

SUV-sized Curiosity causing global warming on Mars ? -
Difference is the D for most part has a lot of talent, and there's a lot of reason to think they'll improve. Fitz doesn't have the talent IMO
-
Other than Cassell off top of my head I can't think of anyone I'd take Fitz over ... and even Cassell had one really good year w/ Pats. Maybe with our talent he'd do well again. As for all the 1st and 2nd year QBs, definitely any one over Fitz. All of their upsides are still unknown. btw, Weeden doesn't look bad at all ... all things considered he looks really good. And Bradford I think would be perfect for Chan's system.

Brady: They dared us to run
truth on hold replied to Over 29 years of fanhood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hate to pin it all on him but let's face it: he's only in the all important MLB slot because of chans arrogance thinking anyone from SEC walks on water, especially one he coached in a bowl game. But yeah I don't see him having the requisite athletic talent to be a quality 4-3 MLB -
Wow has jets season taken a turn for worse after whooping us. Revis gone, 1&2 (would have been 0&3 without fg mess ups from Miami), shut out at home today, and fans for first time chanting "tebow tebow". After the game the seemingly good news Holmes foot isn't broken was caveated by their concern its something worse like an Achilles. #1 player on D gone, #1 on O maybe too. With jets implosion, bills sucking hard and fins in rebuild mode, this division is being gift wrapped for pats. Sucks too because outside division they have losing record.

None of our LBs strike me as effective blitzers. That's why id like to see gilmore and Byrd on safety blitzes. -

how so when he only had a combined 6 tackles in those games? -
fitz is highly limited, but we knew that anyway. this one wasnt on him. and ive been more critical of him than anyone. but pinning it all on him is way off in this case, when your D gets gouged for a cool 250 on the ground, and your backs cough up 2 critical fumbles

1. we have no middle linebacker. Might as well play put an extra DB on the field. Shepperd cant play at this level. BRING BACK POZ 2. Running Spiller up the middle for a tough yard at the goal line was idiotic. You need a yard and you use your smallest back coming off a shoulder injury? Some times Chan makes the most bone head calls 3. Fitz as usual: flat balls that get batted down, too weak to hit deep ones. This wasnt totally on him though, he made some good throws to Chandler 4. D-line is average at best. With no help from the MLB Wannstedt needs to get creative and call some blitz from the secondary. Sadly creative isnt the man's forte. Perfect storm brewing on defense 5. Where was Steve Johnson? Weird how non-existent he was 6. Both Jackson and Spiller showed rust, although thru about 3 qtrs I liked what I was seeing out of FJ: blocking, running and receiving. Would like to have seen Choice get some carries throughout.

I could see bills outplaying them but some blown calls by refs are decisive in pats win. Idk but something farked up and memorable is going to happen to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. If its not refs it will be self imposed like last second fumble returned for TD. I just don't think this team is ready to take a significant 2 game lead in the division on pats including head to head , and likely 1st overall with 9ers playing jets. But please bills by all means prove me wrong. Pretty please with hot sauce on top

yes there was and I never said it wasn't a factor. Its the money and feeling wanted stuff runs counter to your post

Bills Patriots Injury Report *Mankins OUT!!!*
truth on hold replied to Rockinon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's still not clear to me TT didn't have one. per my recollection (which can certainly be wrong), I thought they had a look, did some orthroscopic work, and decided to leave everything else alone in there because it looked plenty stable without needing a total reconstruct. In Mankins case the point being made is he had nothing done ... no othroscopic, nothing, didn't even know it was fully torn ... other than self-administered ice and aspirin, he just kept playing on it. -
Well since you said "all the stories" said Bills matched Id at least think you'd quote some. I googled it and found: "He said, 'OK, I accepted it. They offered me more,'" said Jackie Posluszny, his mother. "He was just so surprised what an unbelievable offer that he got from them. He accepted it and he was thrilled to death." The Bills came close to matching the offer ... More importantly, he felt wanted by Jacksonville. Read more at Jacksonville.com: http://jacksonville....m#ixzz27vumFxFF Couple things here: They didn't offer "same" like you said, but "came close to matching." Id like to see "close" quantified as it's not just stated value of contract, inludes upfront, guaranteed, other clauses etc. But whatever not the "same". Says more important than the money he felt "wanted" by Jags, implication being not so much by Bills. Again, consistent w/ my recollection. If they really wanted him they would have made it clear both monetarily and all the touchy feely stuff.

Bills Patriots Injury Report *Mankins OUT!!!*
truth on hold replied to Rockinon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
idk, did Thurman not have one, or did they just decide not to reconstruct after having a look? I thought the latter. But whatever he seemed Ok for a whole career until another knee injury in Miami that ended it, whereas Mankins required surgery to keep playing. also, fwiw Schefter thinks what Mankins did was likely unprecedented: "Schefter adds that Mankins may be the only player in NFL history to have played an entire season with a torn ACL." http://espn.go.com/blog/boston/new-england-patriots/post/_/id/4729269/schefter-mankins-had-torn-acl-all-season -

When the drs scoped thurmans knee they determined the damage didntn require reconstruction, which mankins did have after the super bowl. -
ThAts all fine and dandy but really at end of day it doesn't matter how people feel. When Ralph dies his estate is not going to leave $100's of millions on table to stay in buffalo. Only way to keep the team in WNY is a stadium in downtown Niagara falls. Regionalizing the team is only chance to find competitive bids to large markets like LA. Reality it goes beyond regionalizing, it would a cornerstone to internationalizing the sport, drawing a lot of support from the commisioners office
