Terrell Owens wants to play for the Jets
truth on hold replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He wants to play for anyone. Question for jets had they known things would go down like this would thy have kept plax? They've kind of boxed themselves into not resigning him now -
Was Vince Young that bad?

Still spouting your same old crap. You cant "translate" VY's picks from a few games as backup and say "there that's what he would have done with a full season." Your "analysis" is just soooo pitiful. And with you having defended Fitz all preseason and attacking anyone who didn't, you really should crawl in a hole and not show your face around here. You have no way of knowing if VY or TT would "certainly not" be better than Fitz .... none, zero, nada. It's the wrong perspective anyway ... the right one of course is with how pitiful Fitz has been for a long time now dating to last season, he should have been benched and others ... VY, TT, whomever ... should have been given a fair chance. Now we're 5 games into another season and a complete mess at the position for staying with him. That's all that's known with "certainty" -
How's Aaron Maybin been doing?
truth on hold replied to Wayne Fontes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
OK so with highly limited playing time Maybin has exactly 1 less sack than all Bills linebackers ..... COMBINED -

Quote by Dareus says it all
truth on hold replied to Hazed and Amuzed's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's right. And beyond what happened to his brother putting things into perspective, you want players to care of course but not get so down on themselves when things don't work out. Look bat Eli Manning: no matter how bad he may have looked on the play or series before, he just shrugs it off like nothing ever happened. Need short memories to be successful at this game. -
If history is any guide its not over. There have been plenty of teams that get off to iffy starts and turn it around. A win next this Sunday and we're back to .500 with a schedule that looks somewhat easier in 2nd half. The problem in this case its hard to get behind a team that lacks a QB with NFL talent, and a HC that should (at best) be an OC and consistently makes very bad decisions at key points during a game.

Given your demonstrated lack of comprehension , in your case yes. -

Was Vince Young that bad?
truth on hold replied to Livinginthepast's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Who knows. But with his reported money problems what bills were paying him may not have kept him out of bankruptcy anyway. And btw people do seemingly irrational things all the time ... was it rational to you for OJ to kill his ex wife? Put at risk everything he had? Anyway I'm not saying he asked to be cut nor was he happy. Last time now I'm saying there was an element of relief. He's looking at financial problems no matter and being in a miserable situation with a team and coach he didnt respect just added more cognitive dissonance. I sensed there was an element of relief when he was let go, even if it added to his financial problem. Maybe he accepted his football days were most likely over and its time to focus on his next chapter in life, whatever that is. -

OK another blatant misquote/misinterpretation. It's difficult to say with certainty, but these might just be the most asinine series of mistaken posts ever. -
Was Vince Young that bad?

Well then you're reading a lot more into my comment than is there. Never said he "chose to" leave only he had mixed feelings, that there was an element of relief too. People get let go from jobs all the time and end up saying to themselves "you know as bad as that hurts me financially, they did me a favor. That place is miserable and I didn't buy into their plan anyway. I'll find a way to survive. " I think the athlete in him was still a greater factor than the pragmatic domestic finance guy. That said I'm sure he'd still be here if they hadn't cut him too. -

Uh yeah its my opinion I posted it. It's difficult to say with certainty, but this might just be your most asinine question ever. (Now that I have clearance that's not considered name calling ) -
The thing is, the guy came in, had his own clear philosophy for how an offense should be run, what type of players to have, what players should be able to do on the field, etc etc. That's fine for an assistant, problem is when they become head coaches they essentially over play their hand. They need a more balanced and aware HC to temper that. For example, I can imagine a Parcells as HC over ruling the decision to run a fresh from injury/smallest RB on the roster Spiller up the middle on 1st and goal last week. Or yesterday giving the order at the end of the first half on Bills possession with the Chandler turnover to RUN as much time off the clock as possible. Dont want to take chances turning it over, especially when we get ball to start 2nd half. Down one score at half on road to this team isn't bad ... etc etc. Chan does stuff a Kevin Gilbride would do, problem is there's no Tom Coughlin to step in when necessary.

With an acidic comment like that to a guy merely expressing his opinion in a non-controversial way, you should consider issuing yourself a warning -

I had the feeling young knew Chan and his plan stunk. And fitz was just a part of it. On one hand he needed the money, but on the other I think he was relieved to get away from this mess. -
Eric Mangini Can Turn This Defense Around

Head coach is the problem. -
1. Williams is a not a good DB, at least not in man. Always looks lost. Hes really turning into a bust. 2. This game could have been close if not for Gailey's horrific errant play calls at crucial times. A pair of pass calls on 3rd and 2, one in red zone. Decision to call 2 pass plays at end of first half instead of running down the clock and settling for being one score down and getting ball to start 2nd half; leads to TD, 2 score deficit, and demoralized team headed into locker room. Last week it was the 1st goal from the 2 run Spiller w/ bad shoulder up the middle fumble. He could be an OC, but really has no business being a HC. NONE. Lacks judgement and management skills. Hes a kevin gilbride at best. This game should have been all about keeping it close and giving your team a chance to win against a tough team on the road. Not trying to blow them out with an aerial attack. 3. Sheppard is a non-factor, blame the Dline all you want, but LBs mean a lot in run support. Our secondary like Byrd are getting killed in run support, Its hard to watch. 4. Dont be shocked if Gailey sits Fitz sooner than later. hes been protecting him to save himself criticism given all the money theyre paying him. but Gaileys a desperate man now going down and flailing. Hes already starting to blame players and looking for excuses. 5. I truly think the D is capable of playing well enough to win, but the lack of hope from an offense that turns it over, cant close the deal, and a head coach that makes idiotic decisions is wearing them out, physically and mentally.

Time for a re- vote, has Chan Gailey lost this team?

and its like the first time theyve ever seen it? this script has been playing out well before the first half. D's get burned all the time on first play when they unexpectedly get thrust back on the field. Thats why smart coaches go for kill shots on that play -

who knows, you keep putting it all this emphasis on KC D for one game. That same D gave up a ton to us 2 seasons in a row. How about Ravens O had a bad game?
