  1. Goofball Chan trying to show how smart he is again. This guy shouldnt be a HC. Gave away the possession advantage we had and needed to start the half
  2. I knew he was going to freaking miss that. Microcosm of whole season right there: every little glimmer oh hope snuffed out by a deflating error
  3. They're so insecure about their ability to stop the run they overplayed that same simple misdirection play twice
  4. Not so sure about that. Look at our schedule. Teams that might finish ahead of us in draft like Panthers , rams and maybe even jags won't be taking QB. If its not Barkley someone else desirable should be there this year for us if we continue on the current trajectory, where I'm only seeing another couple wins.
  5. Green Bay has the support of an entire state, in that sense they are regionalized. Pittsburgh is a special case, with a special owner and special history. Extremely unique. If you think a change of ownership automatically fixes that look around the league and see how often that's happened. The only thing a new owner is likely to insure with all the parochial pig headedness around here, is a new location in LA
  6. When your HCs scheme means committing to a bum, and that HC has a horrible record, GET A NEW HC
  7. I thought fewell showed good leadership in his brief stint as HC. The knock of course coming from a DC background is what he do with the offense? Be interesting to see who he brought in as OC and if he would be able to support the more modern passing oriented offense. But almost for certain the D would be heads and shoulders above what we have now. And not wasting 2 years trying to convert from 4-3 to 3-4 would have provided the basis for better drafts and FA moves.
  8. "Somewhere in Buffalo" doesn't work. The economics of a 250,000 population city and still in decline with next to no tourist interest has virtually no chance of out competing an LA bidder. It's a regionalized/linchpin of NFL's international plans based in Niagara Falls, or nothing for this area.
  9. That really gets the heart of the matter IMO. These system guy coaches who restrict athleticism on the field in favor "coachable" players. It's how you have your most important positions on offense and defense (QB & MLB), occupied by guys who lack the requisite physical skills.
  10. Reality is you need both QB and coach. Sean Peyton brought out the best in Brees who'd essentially been given up on in San Diego and most of the rest of the league. Where would Montana have been without Walsh and the West coast offense ? Manning may be one exception because of the way he bring the offensive system with him , but again credit to dungy for giving him that freedom. Jauron probably would have held all of them back. And I'm not sure gailey wouldnt either
  11. Yeah and the traditional thinking is that cold weather teams in particular rely on TEs. What about Shockey? He's been productive wherever he's been. How is it possible he's a URFA @ only 32?
  12. really? He took over a 3 & 13 cleveland browns. His 1st year as HC of Pats they went 6 & 10. Except for a few (albeit) key positons, Bills have a lot of talent on the roster. And are listing toward another high draft pick session for 2013. This is actually an attractive situation for a new HC: lots of talent, a limited # of slots to fill, drafting high, cap space, low expectations. Really the biggest problem is the team's ownership/location status ... and sadly a move to greener pastures in L.A could make a new coaching position that much more attractive.
  13. If he were brought in now, I believe he'd: 1. Create an open competition at the QB position 2. Emphasize only runs and very short passing game. Basically the Bills game plan for the first 3 & 1/2 quarters of the Titans game 3. Switch away from 4-3 until we found a competent MLB. That may mean playing rest of season in 3-4, 5-2, 2-5,etc 4. Call more safety blitzes on defense knowing its the only way to create more pressure and that we have guys with excellent technique like Byrd and Gikmore 5. Sit some guys on both sides of the ball who feel they're irreplaceable/untouchable, to send a message nobody's safe and everyone needs to step up or get replaced
  14. What a dork .... irresponsible too "As Superstorm Sandy slammed into the East Coast on Monday night, one Twitter user in New York City posted a flurry of alarming reports about fallout from the storm -- from plans to shut down all power in Manhattan to floodwaters pouring into the New York Stock Exchange ..... And, it turns out, many of them were outright lies. They were apparently posted by a Wall Street analyst who doubled as campaign manager for a candidate for Congress. After a blogger exposed him, the analyst apologized on Twitter Tuesday night amid a flood of online scorn and left the campaign. An elected official is pushing for criminal charges." http://edition.cnn.c...hoax/index.html
  15. The answers right in your failure to see: fans in Buffalo will still travel to the Falls to the see the Bills, but tourists won't travel to Buffalo to see them. Put the stadium where the tourists are, and it sure as hell isn't Buffalo
  16. No wind 2nd year in a row. Basement flooded 2nd year in a row. Seems like the biggest problem for the whole city is the Hudson & East Rivers overflowing their banks. Gov Cuomo had a good line when commenting how they need to come up with a better system: "We're having a 100 year flood every year now." Subway video from MTA
  17. Could be a great trade for rams. SJ has a lot of tread on the tires and is not the player he used to be. And he's not really optimized in rams offense. They need more WRs
  18. Byrd, he'll rack up the INT stats that gets one noticed No chance Kyle (or anyone else) from the front 7 makes it, with all the rush yards they give up Spiller & Jackson are problematic because sharing carries hurts their stats But if we end up at or near lead in rush yards that may get an Olineman like Wood or Levitre in
  19. water in basement again But if thats the extent of it Ill consider myself lucky. others have it a lot worse
  20. Thanks, I need them. Coming from you that matters!!
  21. It seems like less precipitation than Irene, @ least in lower Manhattan
  22. I thought they looked neat . Kind of a bee-convict look. Pretty tough.
  23. LETS OFFER TO TRADE ALL 3 QB'S ON OUR ROSTER FOR VICK
  24. Brees $60 million guaranteed Manning $18 million You wish you could "just give up" those aints season ticks about now
  25. hes a lot better than Brees, but getting paid a lot less. No wonder Denver is headed up and New Orleans is simply hard to watch
