  1. It says s trade costs them $13.9mm not the $17.5 In your op. Also I've made clear that under my scenario Sanchez agrees to a cut of some kind tomake the ttrade happen which lowers the hit further. And it says the June 1 cut option lowers it further to $12.5mm. So if they can work out a deal to get it inside the $12.5mm option with hawks that could work. Both jets and Sanchez may view it as better than him farting around on the bench or inactive list while riding out the guarantee where the Jets are stuck paying him $8.25MM anyway
  2. I think that analysis is wrong and only applies yo cutting someone. Otherwise youd have a double counting of salary between old and new team
  3. That's the scarier alternative for us because flynnis bbetter than anyone else they're likely to have
  4. How can you be hit with a guys salary after you've traded him and now someone else is paying him?
  5. Not all of it hawks will pay him something. And trading Flynn frees up that money. Sanchez has made a ton of money and can afford to give up some guaranteed if he wants a shot at continuing his career
  6. Players agree to contract mods quite often when traded. Reuniting with coach carroll would be a strong incentive for him to make some concessions.
  7. NY daily news is reporting jets plan on trying to trade Sanchez in the off season. Seriously where us he going to go? Only coach and situation I see making sense us Carroll and Seattle. They're set on Wilson and could use an experienced backup. Carroll coached Sanchez at USC andwas openly critical of the silly tebow red zone substitution situation jets put him in this year. Going to Seattle gets him as far away from the hostile NY market as well. Sanchez to Seattle puts Flynn back on the market
  8. So then you don't want airport security either. Just give it up
  9. Baloney. Elway instructed him to pass more in that game which he did and he looked good. Including clutch toss for the win in OT
  10. lol nice catch. Lyrics are nasty but I always liked that song
  11. It seemed like a match made it in heaven, but Tim Tebow and Camilla Belle have reportedly called it quits. http://www.nypost.com/p/pagesix/tim_tebow_camilla_belle_split_report_vumvxGQWTA3sNgxvD05jKM
  12. I just don't see it happening. Vick is well known in the NY market from playing in Philly. I don't think he's well like or respected here. And now that he's mid-30's the argument for taking a chance on him relative to the negative sentiment is a weak one .
  13. Jets have rebuilding to do. In addition to being completed unsettled at QB, they have needs on the Oline and linebacker with the likely exit of Scott. They have no idea how their best player on defense (revis) and offense (Holmes) will come back from devestating injury. And even if Holmes is back 100% they don't know if hill or Edwards are legit #2 receivers.
  14. I know bill, its refreshing to see a poster who can think for themself versus the barrage of herd-following "he sucks because so and so said so" around here.
  15. He's a winner and a leader. The only QBs since I've been watching bills who could be described that way were kelly and flutie. 2 BCS at florida, denver 1&4 start without him, 8&5 finish with including playoff win against steelers where he threw key TD pass in OT. Plenty of film to show he does have physical skills to compete in NFL.
  16. I think that's why the league destroyed the spy gate tapes. What they really showed was pats advanced technology transmitting opposition play calling ahead of the actual call.
  17. I see Alex Smith a better fit there
  18. Tebow won 2 at Florida
  19. Bring him in and draft a qb. Make it an open competition for QB. Lose fitz. Let tebow, rookie, thig and tj earn it in camp.
  20. **delete**
  21. Its official he will be available. NFL.com reporting he will ask jets to trade or release him after the season in wake of being passed over for McElroy.
  22. Because its corny like nix and gailey, and for the sense of abandonment it conveys "Picked a Fine Time to Leave Me Lucille" Kenny Rogers Most appropriate line: " ... I'm no quitter, but I finally stopped living on dreams ..."
  23. I'd take him. He's a winner. That jets who are horrible assessing QB talent passed him is a positive.
  24. you dont have an argument, You said their risk was looking like idiots, as if they dont already. and one reason they already look like idiots? taking on a high profile FA, installing him as your #2 on the depth chart, and not even giving him a chance
  25. They look like idiots already
