I don't buy into Houston hype every season. Last year was a cake walk in that division. This year with better competition from colts they barely won it.
Johnson was great but age and injury catching IP with him. Don't believe schaub is elite. Their RB is good but not so great to carry a team. Watt is great but they also needed a healthy cushing on defense to go places.
Me too, they look as physical as anyone. They're making strides each year. This time I see them get deeper in the post season with at least one win. Dumping palmer for all those picks was a bonanza.
I'll offer up this hanging curve. My most embarrassing guilty pleasure song moment was back in the day when I was singing along with this while driving my then convertible. Stopped at a light in the middle lane on a three lane road and BOTH cars on either side of me were having a good laugh at my expense.

At one time bills had a steady supply of good ones: biscuit, Talley, conlan, speilman, paup, patten, cowart, spikes, crowell, fletcher, poz ....
Motto now seems to be "we can't have any good ones"
Probably because its Japan and tech/science related, and they were released at the same time in 82/83'. Funny how times change. Don't think today Japan is the icon of technology, even in Asia you'd put it behind China (foxconn) and south Korea (Samsung). Heck even Taiwan has htc and Asus
Reid is going to the Chiefs. Which makes me think they are almost certain now ... like 99% .... to take a QB. Reid likes drafting QBs, and your first year as HC when you get the most leniency for a bad record, is the best time to develop someone.
9ers as a team stunk when he came into the league, that's why they had #1 overall pick. And singletary was not a good coach. When harbaugh arrived AS game got a lot better and his record as starter is outstanding. Put fitz in that same situation with harbaugh and I have doubts 9ers are any better than .500.
I hated the pick when 9ers took him 1 overall. And for his first few years in the league he validated my concern. But I have to admit over the last 2 he's shown a lot of improvement. I love how he can run an uptempo offense, and at least he looks like a leader and competitor out there. I don't think he'll ever have an elite arm like Brady or Eli, and hes prone to some real clunker outings at times, but still he was an overtime loss last year from being in the Super Bowl. And anything could have happened had they made it. So I don't see how one can definitively say you can't win a Super Bowl with him.
Don't really care about who wins Super Bowl. But I do want afc conference champ to be New England at Denver. Brady vs manning in that setting would be awesome.
Jones was on a radio show today and said romo is a great asset and will be there a long time. Even with his flaws romo is a lot better than going into the unknown QB abyss and end up like the bills , cards, chiefs etc
There is. He was quite vocal in the press after getting benched. I agree with the media consensus on this, almost no chance he's a 9er next year, both parties are done with each other
One way or the other he won't be a 9er next year. They tried getting manning in the offseason and only went back to smith after that fell thru. This season he was benched. They obviously don't think he's the answer and I'm sure he's sick of them. Bridges burned, time to move on.
On KC, I'm thinking they'll shy away from getting someone else's vet QB after ther experience with cassell. Also they have #1 pick and can draft someone.
