  1. Ryan never seems to stop playing head games. The more he stressed he didn't want him to go to bills the more one would think that would encourage bills to hire him. Or he could have been sending a message to jets owners we need to do a better job retaining coaches or this will happen. or he could have known it was inevitable anyway. I just hope the guy really is exceptionally good and it wasn't Rex trying to bait us into someone he wasn't that impressed with.
  2. Let's hope Rex wasn't just blowing smoke and playing poker when he said be didn't want to lose him to the bills.
  3. Lots, solid "A" or "B" grades for most units except Linebackers. What overshadows this is lacking a quality player at the most important position on offense QB, and IMO on defense too, MLB the "QB" of the defense. Find a way to upgrade at those 2 spots and youd see a huge difference almost right away IMO
  4. The Oprah Winfrey Network announced on Tuesday it will broadcast the interview on Thursday 17 January. It will be Armstrong's first formal interview since he was banned from racing for life. http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/afp_sports/view/1246834/1/.html
  5. Pretty bold call for a one eyed fat man mark. But if Texans interior line can't handle wilfork again (no reason to think anythings changed) there goes Texans run game. And you're down to schaub on the road vs a rested Brady & co @ home. No thanks.
  6. Ugh that's unfortunate. People will blame shannie because as an ass he's an easy target. But as some of us talked about before there was an air of inevitably given his history , play style and not being a big guy. Cousins looks like a capable starter too, at least give shannie credit for that. Quite a testament to the value of BPA
  7. That's what I mean. The guy at the bottom, around :26-:28. Did he actually steer it too far left in his desire to keep it going right ?
  8. Sucks he's not going to NY. That would be fun to watch. And it just might work for them. But jets being media shy after last years fiasco will stay away from things like this now.
  9. I wonder if he actually pushed it and influenced it swinging too far left. Hard to tell from that angle.
  10. Your opinion on teo including draft position ... "Kuechly was taken 9th overall. This guy Te'o isn't as good. The math is pretty easy as far as totally disqualifying Te'o as an option at #8."
  11. I'm reacting to your comment "For the most part, ILB is a low impact position." As for where teo goes, it remains to be seen. But don't let your dislike for him cloud your judgement of the position's value.
  12. Nonsense its not an impact position. Especially on 4-3. And you're just splitting hairs where guys were drafted. Urlacher and kuechky were 9th, does that mean bills are required not to take MLB one slot ahead?
  13. Kidding me? In 4-3 its the most important position. QB of the defense that makes the defensive signal calls, multi-gap responsibility, sideline to sideline run support, slot coverage, blitzing .... Wow. Urlacher, singletary, Zack Thomas, fletcher, Cushing, kuechly, etc. etc Absolutely critical to have a premium player there.
  14. Kilometer is 3280 feet so yes on that. Maybe speed too
  15. have to wonder if this is getting too incestuos already, like buddy, chan and the southern boy/SEC connection
  16. with that setup, it was just a matter of time, and sooner than later
  17. An extreme winter activity turned into tragedy, after a zorb with two tourists inside lost control and plunged into a creek in Dombay mountain area, in Russia's south. One of the two young men died, the other suffered a concussion.
  18. What a tarnishing end to what otherwise had been such a brilliant rookie season
  19. "Mike Pettine is going to have several opportunities,” Ryan said. “He has an interview with the Bills today. Hopefully he doesn’t take that job. We’ve been together over 10 years, he’s been a tremendous coach. He thinks it’s best for him to move on. I wish him all the best unless he goes to Buffalo.” http://m.nypost.com/f/mobile/blogs/jetsblog/ryan_was_concerned_that_jets_would_nPwOwE1QERNpxFmqtZcKeN
  20. This isn't a slam on ND (if anything an excuse for their poor showing), but that bama team is the most powerful college team ive ever seen. Makes me think the real value in this draft will come from the less celebrated Georgia bulldogs given how they were able to play them straight up and not get dominated.
  21. Sounds good Koufax, but I imagine MLB in a 4-3 would grade out really high on needing an above average player at the position.
  22. Who was the bama dlineman they said benches 600 lbs? Geez
  23. Poz got off to a rough start here because of the injuries. As a result I was a seller of the guy too. But after his health stabilized I grew to appreciate his game. Casualty of the misguided shift to 3-4, what a shame. Agreed he'd be our best LB by a wide margin
  24. Well if they are really adopting a "money ball" philosophy you can expect Bills to trade around a lot more too. But if you really want Teo and can get him at 8, would you be willing to trade down much and take a chance of losing him?
  25. Hence use of the word "somewhat". To my eye kuechly looks faster and more physical at the point of attack. But teo has been in on more turnovers so maybe his instincts are a little better and that can close the physical ability gap. We'll see how he looks at the combine.
