  1. Your analysis is very short sighted. Bills were 31st against run last year. Thirty one freaking first out of thirty two teams. What opportunity do you have to rush the passer wgen opponents simply get to run all over you ? The other guys point as right: investments on the dline have put capable pass rushers in place. To use them we need to stop the run, and put teams in more obvious and longer passing situations. That's the real key now to elevating your one-dimensional sack total view of a defense
  2. Never bought into the certainty of him going to jags in first place. Theres a chance no one takes him because they don't want to manage the media headache. Which is sad. TO brought the isolation on himself for being a "me first" trouble maker. Tebow had it imposed on him for being a team-first, exemplary leader.
  3. Primary needs: QB, MLB Wilson only QB IMO worth 8. Put Te'o top MLB. My ranking for that spot: 1. Wilson 2. Te'o 3. ???? 4. ???? Still working on 3&4. Geno not on because I'm concerned about his ability to make read progressions in NFL. Jones because of degenerative spine disorder. Hope it all works out for him though. If we dont upgrade LB, especially MLB, our D is screwed for another year. If we don't find a legit starting QB, team is screwed for years.
  4. A teenager opened fire on a central California campus this morning, wounding a classmate in yet another terrifying school shooting, officials said. The suspected gunman at Taft High School has been taken into custody and a 12-gauge shotgun recovered, authorities said. Pruitt said the gunman was talked into surrendering by teacher and staff members. The wounded student was airlifted to Kern Medical Center in neighboring Bakersfield, and is in critical but stable condition, officials said. The gunman fired on another student but missed, cops said. http://m.nypost.com/f/mobile/news/national/shooting_reported_at_calif_hs_reportedly_sQ9hHq22ngmLOXCw5HnHOP
  5. Tyler Wilson looks strong to me. Arm strength unquestionable. Tough and confident to hang in there and make plays. Runs up tempo offense, can throw under pressure, which is essential in NFL. If he's there at 8 I take him, if not te'o. If geno goes #1 Tyler just may be there, its not a given picks 2-7 take a QB.
  6. That's how i see it. 2 players is nearly 1/5th of your personel on the field. You replace 2 weak links with 2 studs its a huge difference. The defense got off to a rough start buy showed real signs of improvement, then tapered off again somewhat when the whole team quit on chan, so I dont much stock in that. Think of some of the best all time defenses like tampas super bowl: replace studs like sapp and derrick brooks with marginal players , big difference. Now specifically of our defense: miller on one side, Mario on the other gives us the 2-headed monster of pressure from both sides (Anderson was never that other guy) kuechly gives the run support we're desperately lacking, and he has excellent coverage skills, countering TEs. Again something we don't have. So now opposition has a less effective run game, and QB has less time to pass. Gilmore takes on the oppositions #1 we, Byrd gets more free lance ability to make INTs, and mckelvin doesn't need to cover guys as long down field. big big difference
  7. any chance tyler wilson is there at 8? hes about the only QB Id take there
  8. Wait and see. Plenty of new challenges being taken on. But positive mostly because it cant be any worse than the departing regime.
  9. I've never watched a complete Oprah show in my life. Maybe a couple segments at most like when cruise weirded out. But I'll make it a point to watch the full 90 mins of this one. Smart marketing by Oprah and lance
  10. Von Miller: incredible penetration/pressure machine. Classic leverage and strength advantage who brings it full 60 minutes. Luke kuechly: young, fast, smart, playmakerl, sideline to sideline tackling machine, 3 down LB that can cover. Add those 2 and we're sniffing one of best defenses ever.
  11. He's not hurting for bed buddies .... http://cdn.urbanislandz.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/Alyse_Lahti_Johnston.jpg Just a little lighter in the wallet
  12. Id say get off TJ's case. Guys a rookie and had a horrible qb throwing to him, particularly ill suited for his deep threat speed. Give him another year or 2, better QB, then we talk.
  13. Yeah really this class is looking pretty "meh", mirror opposite of last year. I hope this franchise doesn't overcompensate for its failure to draft a QB over last few years with a costly reach this year. Last thing we need is another dud we feel obligated to play.
  14. Folks like it or not, looks like another T O will be headed to Buffalo in April I look forward to it.
  15. somewhere in the 95%-99% guilty probability
  16. funny though they got to RG3 right away
  17. I'm sure the IRS will find a way to keep collecting even though they're million of miles away
  18. I wonder if hes getting paid a bundle to be on Oprah? Certain to draw a lot of incremental viewers to her show
  19. If we finish behind jets next year again I swear I will slit my wrists. That teams been gutted. We should fight it out with fins for 2nd, and year after if we find a QB, we will challenge pats for 1st.
  20. And a guy like mckelvin (whom I hope we keep) really doesn't show signs of having been coached. I gotta believe jets guys will be a lot more diligent. IMO cromartie is a noticeably more disciplined player over time as a jet
  21. Gilmores solid and he's only going to get better. No worries there, good pick. And no longer a rookie maybe the refs will stop PICKING on him. Its the other guys left - mckelvin, Williams, etc - where the new crew have the potential to make their mark.
  22. Using how late Thomas was drafted vs the HoF #'s he put just show he should have been drafted a lot earlier. Same with fletcher. Same with Tom Brady. That analysis just points out guys who were under drafted. And giants MLB Blackburn and boley are good not great, if great giants wouldn't so up and down / hit or miss. As for bears, in their prime I'd take urlacher over peppers, and I think peppers is terrific. It's just that he can only impact one side/area of the field whereas the MLB is everywhere. Your list of drafted LBs I find pretty damn impressive and if you did that same kind of analysis on other positions you'd find as many misse (if not more). And if you want to Use panthers as an example of an MLB upgrade not mattering when their defense went from 28th to 10th, during a year their QB regressed, wow I don't know what to say
  23. Devito is good but do we have room for more on the dline? Pace and smith although not world beaters are upgrades to merriman and Williams.
  24. Yes you would assume he's gone thru all his options on that stuff beforehand. Could be the case he reckons hes seeing those suits coming already and he'll lose or be forced to testify underoath in court. And he needs to get reinstated to try and make a living again. Idk yourguess as good (probably bbetter) than mine.
