Mother of Sandy Hook Victim Wrestling With Details of Noah Pozner's Killing Veronique (Noah Pozner's mother) described what she saw: “We all saw how beautiful he was. He had thick, shiny hair, beautiful long eyelashes that rested on his cheeks. He looked like he was sleeping. But the reality of it was under the cloth he had covering his mouth there was no mouth left. His jaw was blown away. I just want people to know the ugliness of it so we don’t talk about it abstractly, like these little angels just went to heaven. No. They were butchered. They were brutalized. And that is what haunts me at night.” Read more: http://blogs.forward.../#ixzz2I6DfNNVv

Obama takes no action on gun control;
truth on hold replied to Keukasmallies's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Weapons are regulated for their potential to do harm. Even if one were to accept your argument of "not to do good" nukes would pass. The 2nd amendment kook balls like you and Alex Jones are saying you need guns to protect you from the government. Well pards this aint the frontier days anymore with muscats, bows and arrows. Govts have nukes, guided missiles, nuclear submarines, helicopters, chemicals, and they are finding it particularly useful to use drones on individual targets. If the much feared "government" were to turn on its citizens theyre not coming door to door with pea shooters. Expect the full wrath of high tech weapons, wherein the use of nukes by private citizens on government installations would not be "indiscriminate". Paranoid? yeah, because thats what you are. You cant pick and choose what paranoid scenario fits your purposes. And if this "government turns on its people", theres every reason to believe WMDs & high tech weapons will be involved. -

Morality should not trump political aspirations. That's the problem we have now in DC. No one doing the right thing, just taking orders from big money special interest groups. But I wouldnt so sure this will cost him on the national stage. Times they are a changing and more people are fed up and disgusted with this NRA **** -
Smith in San Fran hitting the market is a given. Carroll is dropping major hints Flynn will be too. Bills really need to land one of these guys. .......... With a particularly weak crop of quarterbacks in the draft this spring, the former Packer could see significant interest from several teams searching for a signal-caller. Carroll said that with the mobile-Wilson under center, it would be advantageous to have another quarterback with a similar skill-set, as opposed to Flynn's traditional pocket-passing ability. "We've talked a lot about that," Carroll said, according to the News Tribune. "It would be nice to have another guy that might be able to be a factor that way. There's some really good kids out there. We'll see." ".... As we move forward we're going to figure it out. " http://m.nypost.com/...Lz2G9WzpED4JzPK

Poll: Should the "Redskins" name be changed?
truth on hold replied to Just in Atlanta's topic in Off the Wall Archives
If it truly offends enough people then it should go. Tricky thing is quantifying "enough". If it only takes 1 thats too little, or a petition signed by a 100 million that's too much. Also need to weight it per size of community. Question I have here: - if this is really equivalent of n-word, who was so foolish to have missed that in the first place? Because no one would want a team named for a Derogatory racial slander. -

This dude is loaded. NY post says $125 million. I would have guessed more like $25 million. Doesn't sound like the sums he may end up repaying will be anything more than 10%-15% of his worth. http://m.nypost.com/f/mobile/news/national/dope_fiend_D9oOrTHeY0Ti3026qCJgcI -
What should the Bills do at #8?
truth on hold replied to Solomon Grundy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Which is another way of saying "@ best he's a backup". Its shocking that he still has supporters on this board. That "buffalo guy" thing really connected with them. -

Ummm there you go again. Labelling and putting words in my mouth. My own view on Obama and gun control which may be buried in PPP somewhere is that he's been a weak politician, putting lives at risk when he knows its wrong. During the debates when gun control came up he offered up some lame "safe" response about conditions that give rise to it .... Blah blah blah BS. Obama in abstract is a bad president, he only exists because of how disgracefully bad the republican party has become, particularly in Washington. I don't see a racist line in opposing him now on gun control, im sure the same ignorant rednecks would oppose a white protestant. -
Well that's true and I'm a fan of cover-2 so really can't complain there. But he was so weak otherwise you just knew there was zero chance of competing with the big boys. I found his tenure excruciatingly painful. Particularly hated how his conservative chicken *#&@ style put players in a position to fail

Christians should petition to have "Saints" removed as their name. To be replaced with something more fitting like "Bounty Hunters" -
No I'm not letting the defense off the hook, I'm just attempting to isolate instances where a capable QB doesn't lose us the game. And BTW this smith-harbaugh angle, let's not forget before that singletary was his coach. About as bad an offensive HC i can think of. Almost ruined crabtrees career. Gailey IMO was far more QB friendly.

A person with knowledge of the situation says Lance Armstrong has apologized to the staff at his Livestrong cancer foundation. He did so before heading to an interview with Oprah Winfrey. http://m.nypost.com/f/mobile/news/national/armstrong_sorry_to_livestrong_staff_jzDp2impPjsPhwAlBPXxeI -
Did you actually watch last season? Horrible pick six to cromartie to start 2nd half of opener ,horrible pick against titans when we had late game lead, horrible game ending pick in the end zone when we had pats on the rope, etc etc. And this is nothing new : pulled that crap the season before in losses to giants, Bengals, etc etc.

Well look this is just a judgement call by me or anyone else one way or the other, but i don't think any team is a playoff team with fitz. Too limited , inconsistent and too many mistakes. I think last years bills with smith are 8&8. Fitz won't win you any games but he will lose some. Smith worst case won't lose you games, and I think he can run a good enough offense to win some.

Not being taken seriously by you is one of the best endorsements for credibility I can think of. Yeah no kidding, read my post re: paranoid, anti-government kooks like Alex Jones. With 48 undefended borders a nearly impossible law to enforce. Gun lovers are sooooo stupid, you have to spell out everything
