Combine reports for Saturday
truth on hold replied to simpleman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Armsteads 4.71 (4.65 unofficial) for a 300lb OT is nuts. He would be a nightmare for defenses getting to the 2nd level and clearing out smaller players. He just caused some mock revisions. bleacher had a nice writeup and video of the run but we're not allowed to post it on this site -
Bills to let David Nelson walk?
truth on hold replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
nelson is a non factor, so this is a non-event Pettine knows from his experience with the Jets, they didnt have to do anything special to account for him in their scheme -
Chuck is known to have a massive campaign surplus from large hedge funds like SAC Capital, thats why he blamed all the smaller funds and prodded Bernanke and regulators to make it a lot more difficult for smaller funds to get started; in total opposition to the edict of not letting firms get "too big to fail". hes a real peach, that guy

I've thought the ratings agencies were the main culprit because of how far off they were in ascribing AAA, and how much the system is reliant on ratings. But he makes a good point government is more central. I think its close though. BTW ratings agencies have a government angle too since they're sanctioned and protected by them. Although the protection aspect is being challenged with a new case against S&P.

But hitting door hold doesn't keep it open that long after you release it. Typically it closes almost immediately thereafter. I think either some kind of operator box was open and she hit a maintenance switch, or someone remotely kept it open (that someone being the person she felt was stalking her?). I don't think it was malfunction or there'd have been a lot of complaints and it likely would not have closed at all. *I think* since I'm not an expert. Its also a bit odd the police and news services have not commented on the elevators atypical performance.

What ever happened to Levi Brown???
truth on hold replied to KGUNBILLS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's pretty much what I remember too. Was really starting to look the part out there, dynamic and accurate. Reminded me of hasselback in Seattle. Then they cut him and gave the backup job to thigpen. Chan and buddy are so parochial about protecting their "guys" it was just disgusting -
The application for porn would be helping you make one

Id say its a toss now whether foul play was involved or she was out of it and somehow got herself in there. If there was an alarm it wasn't working if she did it, and if it was working and someone knew how to disable it, that further argues for a building technician involved in foul play. However dragging a body up that tank wherein theyd be in view of the adjacent taller buildings argues against foul play. Thats why Im @ 50/50 at the moment

Here's the video where she was last seen in the hotel elevator. Very weird. At first looks like she's hiding from someone, then later she exits and makes some dance-type gestures as if she were playing with someone. And why did the elevator door stay open so long, and not go to other floors after she pressed the buttons? Was someone who had access to the elevator controls stalking her? Maintenance guy for building? Could explain how she ended up in water tank too

No reason at all to think he'd be worse. Their record as starters strongly suggests tj will be better. He's an even .500 (17-17), whereas Fitz has nearly 2 losses for every win (23-41-1). That's basically what tj is: a .500 qb who will neither win you, nor lose you games. Definite upgrade to fitz though

Some interesting perspective from a bank CEO.... While running regional giant BB&T for two decades, John Allison had an insider's view of the factors behind the crisis. A burst of greed wasn't one of them, he says. Nor was deregulation. "The financial industry was not deregulated, it was misregulated," he asserted. In his new book, "The Financial Crisis and the Free Market Cure," Allison says at every step of the way, Washington politicians and regulators brought on the crisis and then made things worse during the panic. Now, he warns, they're sowing the seeds of another financial crisis, thanks to new rules sold to the public as insurance against another crisis but that in fact double down on old mistakes. Allison says problems started in the 1990s when regulators pressured banks to abandon traditional mortgage underwriting standards. "Under Clinton, making high-risk home loans to low-income borrowers was given priority over safety and soundness from a regulatory perspective," he said. The ex-president used the Community Reinvestment Act as an enforcement tool. When home prices fell years later, Allison points out, loss ratios on high-risk CRA loan portfolios soared. Then in 2000, Clinton's HUD required Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, which had dominated the prime lending market, to restructure their portfolios so at least half their loans were CRA and other subprime mortgages. "The legitimate affordable-housing market was not big enough to equal 50% of (their) giant loan portfolios," Allison said. "To meet this political goal, Freddie and Fannie would have to consistently lower their lending standards." I think Google glass is a novelty niche product until its proven otherwise. I think apple and samsungs rumored smart watches have a lot more potential as integrated daily use devices. http://www.ebnonline.com/author.asp?section_id=1059&doc_id=259274&itc=ebnonline_gnews http://www.engadget.com/2013/02/21/apple-patent-application-flexible-display-band/

sounds like Google doesn't have any idea what to do with it either. That's why theyre asking people to tell them what theyd do with it. Pay $1500 to do their research for them? No thanks

SNL Spoofs Hagel Hearings

What should be pissing everyone off is many of our politicians placing greater priority on what he said/she said about Israel (or any other country) over protecting america. -
Richard sherman getting in on the act ... “One season u will get 8 picks.... But it won't happen anytime soon... I did it in my 2nd season... So u have something to chase,” Sherman wrote. ... “Got off my flight to this hilarious convo. So I have 8 picks 3 ff and a sack. My season stats looking like Revis career stats." http://m.nypost.com/p/blogs/jetsblog/jets_revis_seahawks_sherman_trade_hiXwtyZryouHbHdJor0jFJ
