That's kind of my sentiment as well. Cut or plucked off PS. Question then what happens to him? He wasn't a physical specimen like a favre or Vick. BTW this thread was not meant as a "hindsight being 20/20", its to question the importance of the team and circumstances in recognizing and developing unheralded players. That and I just wanted to work "Leif Olve Dolonen Larsen" into the discussion.

But if he comes to Buffalo, does he still have a hall of fame career? We had Flutie and Johnson on the roster battling out, does Brady get a chance? We had a defensive-minded coach in Wade Phillips. Does Brady get cut or traded to another team where he has a HoF career? Or does his career fizzle and he's just another footnote in Bills history like * Leif Olve Dolonen Larsen?

Mandatory Monday: Top Front Sevens

It's a truism that IF the front 7 is getting pressure, THEN they can disrupt the QB. However the problem is when the front 7 isnt getting pressure ... which happens to the best of them. Then a mediocre secondary is toast. An elite secondary IMO is much more difficult to take out of a game, making them the best unit to structure a defense around. -

No it wasn't, their secondary gives the front 7 freedom to rush the passer, knowing the secondary locks down WRs and is strong in run support too. Seattle had 3 pro bowlers on defense last year, all from the secondary: Sherman, Chancellor, Thomas -

Kind of like what Mubarak said about foreign aid: it's taking money from poor people in rich countries, and giving it to rich people in poor countries. -

Front 7's are nice, but in this passing era it shouldn't be lost that the best defense (Seattle) has the best secondary, and an only average front 7 -

If an agent can be held legally liable for over stating his/her relationship with a team's management, and just generally being a blowhard, the agent business is finished. -
6/12/94 Nicole Brown-Simpson and Ronald Goldman killed
truth on hold replied to Beerball's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I thought the one about the serial killer accomplice had some merit. Story went OJ hired him to break in and retrieve some expensive jewelry, just thinking he was a run of the mill burglar and not knowing his murderous past. So he breaks in, finds Nicole there and being prepared does what a seial killer does best. OJ is cruising by to check on progress and maybe agreed to pick him up. Gets nervous when the guy hasn't come out on time, enters the scene and that's how his footprints are there. Apparently there was another set of footprints that have never been fully accounted for, could be serials. This also explains why OJ phrased bronco confessional as "its all my fault" rather "I did it." The motive of OJ as killing them in a jealous rage never was consistent because theyd be separated a long time already,he had a steady girlfriend (playmate), and he'd walked in on Nicole having oral with some guy years ago and just told her to be more discreet. -

How do you feel about us having had better relations with Sunnis like .... Saudis (birth place of Al Qaeda, sponsor terrorism in Syria), Pakistanis (housed Bin Laden, relations with Taliban, ongoing attacks on Hindus/India), Hamas, Saddam (we sponsored his attack on Iran)? -

I pretty much agree with all that, except I dont know how to assess how deep the rift is between Shiite and Sunni ....is it a very small % that can't reconcile and are driving the conflict? Or is it more pervasive? I'd like to think the former, but I don't know. I do think the element w/i Sunni (however big or small) is the far more radical and bigger problem. For example, Bin Laden was Sunni. Shiites (mostly Iranians) being Persian tend to think of themselves as an ancient, sophisticated society above all that. Most of the attacks are Sunni's on Shiites. And of course US bias is toward Sunni (I assume because of Saudi oil), hopefully that's changing with better relations between US and Iran. -
WEDG Report: Rogers meets with Cuomo & Bills

thats my bet what happens if there's a higher out of town bid, owners will approve. More profits will trump any sentiment towards keeping Bills in Buffalo, really seems kind of ludicrous to think otherwise -

Of course they're under obligation to sell to highest bidder, that's why its in a trust. They'll get sued for breach of fiduciary duty otherwise. Any bidder will be subject to NFL approval as a closing condition. Please folks wake up. -

We topple a Sunni leader in Iraq to pave the way for a Shiite government. Then we sponsor a Sunni insurgence in Syria to try and topple a Shiite government. And that creates a Sunni stronghold in the areas bordering Syria and Iraq, and a launchpad for Sunni-led attacks on the government we supported in Iraq. Baghdad car bombs kill 60; militants storm Ramadi university. In total, there were a dozen blasts in mainly Shi'ite districts of the capital - See more at: http://www.hindustan...h.WmwLetQr.dpuf -

So its even better for the buyer. There's a chance they won't even pay the $260mm after tax charge/fee/fine/whatever u want to call it. -

The fee is an obstable but certainly not insurmountable. Also consider the fee is tax deductible, so assuming a corporate tax rate of 35%, after tax the fee is $260mm. Not so onerous looking aNY more when we're talking billions. -

You mean the obligation? Like I demonstrated a non-buffalo buyer could have the highest bid and pay the fee. -

I told people from very beginning there was a chance a buyer would just pay the $400mm and move the team. Math is simple, for example: If buyer thinks bills are worth $1.7b somewhere else, they'd be willing to pay 1.7-0.4 = $1.3B If $1.3B is more than the highest bid from buffalo buyer, trust has an obligation to sell to the $1.3B bidder.
