  1. What a bunch of sickos the Israelis are blowing up Gaza's power plant. All this so some fatso from Brooklyn can move to stolen land in the west bank. Putting into context what's going on Israel has supported hamas all along. In their creation because they didn't want a more moderate pali government they'd have to negotiate peace with. By leaving Gaza and demonstrating the only thing Israelis respond to is force. And by continuing to colonize the west bank and "rewarding" abbas' peace with occupation and land theft
  2. I'd asked the question in a different thread, who are the people making US foreign policy, and who are they making it for? Interesting that a study confirms it's not what the American people want: "There were some interesting YouGov findings on American public opinion and foreign conflicts last week. When asked about conflicts in Syria, Ukraine, and Gaza, at least a plurality of Americans favored supporting neither side, and in the Syrian case it was a majority. The Syrian case is the most striking. Syria is the one conflict that the U.S. was very close to joining in directly only last year, there is also fairly broad bipartisan support in Washington for supporting at least some Syrian rebels, and yet the public’s support for anti-regime forces is extremely low. U.S. support for the Israeli government in the conflict is endorsed by virtually every elected official in the U.S. and by numerous editorial boards across the country, but that policy doesn’t even have the support of 40% of the public." http://www.theamericanconservative.com/larison/americans-dont-want-the-u-s-to-take-sides-in-foreign-conflicts/
  3. Brutal. Had no idea we were that close to first super bowl. At home too, so we were favored?
  4. 10 more for Netanyahu today ... and just look at the ages............ Jerusalem Post: 10 soldiers were killed on Monday Sergeant Daniel Kedmi, 18, of Tzofim; Sergeant Barkai Yishai Shor, 21, of Jerusalem; Sergeant Sagi Erez, 19, of Kiryat Ata; Sergeant Dor Dery, 18, of Jerusalem; Sgt. Nadav Raimond, 19, from Shadmot Dvora. http://www.jpost.com...ltration-369241 "The IDF released the names of soldiers late Monday night who were posthumously promoted. St.Sgt. Eliav Eliyahu Haim Kahlon, 22 of Safed; Private First Class Meidan Maymon Biton, 20 of Netivot; Private First Class Niran Cohen, 20 of Tiberias; and Sgt. First Class Adi Briga, 23 of Beit Shikma.St.-Sgt. Moshe Davino, 20" http://www.jpost.com...ltration-369241 So we have 20 year old kids dying while killing actual kids on playgrounds..........madness.... 10 Palestinians Killed as Israel Bombs Gaza Playground "GAZA CITY (Ma’an) — Israeli forces on Monday bombed a park near the beach in Gaza City killing at least 10 Palestinians including eight children on the first day of the Eid al-Fitr holiday, medics said. The strike on the park in al-Shati refugee camp — which reports suggested was a drone strike — hit the playground, killing 10 people, mostly children as they played with their families while wearing holiday clothes they had been given to celebrate the end of the holy Muslim month of Ramadan." http://www.globalres...yground/5393718
  5. Oh yeah, that was bad. I was there. Cowher was trying to lose to help his buddy Mularkey by cleaning out the bench and calling the same sweep play every time, and we still got our butts kicked. Lindell's miss of the short FG at end of half was an omen, and Bledsoe threw a couple of wounded ducks.
  6. Given the popularity of "Most Exciting Bills Game" I felt this thread was needed to do justice to our suffering. For me, I am going to exclude Super Bowls because a) it's too obvious, and b) I associate them with getting together with friends, partying, etc ... so even though the outcome may not have been what I wanted, the atmosphere was still positive. Also I've found i can't pick just 1, so I have a top 3 (not necessarily in order): 1. A Monday night game in 2008 against Cleveland. At the Ralph in freezing rain, Bills needing a FG in the closing minute to win. Bills get the ball to Cleveland 30, for what would be a 47 yard field goal. Instead of trying to get extra yards and making it easier for Lindell in the horrible weather, Jauron elects not to take any chances, we effectively take a knee on consecutive downs, and "settle" for a 47 yarder. Result: Lindell misses, looks like a goat. 2. In 2009, red hot Saints come into town. Bills actually have a chance in 4th quarter only down by 3. But the defense is clearly tiring from being on the field so much. Instead of going for it on 4th and short from around our own 40, Jauron elects to punt because he would later say to make the Saints "earn it". Which they did, by proceeding to score 17 unanswered points on a worn out defense. What's so bad for me in both of these Jauron games is not trying to win and putting his players in a position to look bad. And it was incredibly frustrating watching Jauron make the same gutless decisions game after game. 3. 2011 game against Cowboys. Truly pathetic, and what had been clear to some of us (Fitz was not an NFL starter, and Gailey knew nothing about defense), became clear to all. People often ask what would a top Division A team like Alabama look like against an average NFL team, this game answered what would a crappy AA team look like. A smiling Romo played pitch and catch with his receivers because we couldn't get any pressure or cover anyone. Fitz was helpless as a newborn chick. It was clearly a lost cause from the first snap.
  7. good one here too, the Jewish guy destroys the Shelly Adelson shrill Gingrich http://youtu.be/kEnUvSLnHig
  8. Weird fact #11: according to some people, farting is a crime
  9. Didn't Scotty mock the chop after making a field goal in that game? Imagine, norwood talking smack. Lol
  10. And yet here we have a country in top 25 per capita GDP receiving $3 billion+/ year from US. Its like we're saying in recognition of your decades old occupation of Palestine, horrible human Rights record, and undermining of US peace efforts, here's another $500 each/year from Uncle Sam.
  11. You know its funny I was one the first to say hamas should stop. And I've now mourned the death of IDF soldiers ..... twice. Something no one else has done .... once. And the nitwit who wants to throw all the palesineans in sea is playing the race card?
  12. you Israel cheerleaders think you're cute echoing the talking points of a devil like Netanyahu, but do you realize the death toll among IDF soldiers is something like 4x the last incursion? This man and his made up Hamas-sponsored kidnapping, has both Arab and Jewish blood on his hands. Just look at the ages of IDF casualties, mostly late teens/early 20's ... not much beyond being kids themselves 1. Dror Khenin, 37, killed near Erez crossing. 2. Eitan Barak, 20, Israeli soldier, killed in Gaza. 3. Ouda el-Waj, killed by rocket, Bedouin community near Dimona. 4. Bar Rahav, 21, Israeli soldier, killed in Gaza. 5. 13. lol funny story. Almost feel guilty posting this, but I was at a funeral once and someone was making a speech (droning on and on), all the while Bills were locked in a close one w/ Jets. By the end of the speech about a half dozen of us had managed to sneak out into the parking lot to watch updates on our cell phones. I kind of vaguely remember, but didn't Reich also engineer an improbable comeback against Rams on MNF? lol @ 59 for Pats executing perfect tip drill to Hooks.
  14. Lol @ #6 "While most cultures feel that farts should be suppressed in polite company, there are some cultures that not only don't mind letting them fly in public, but they actually enjoy it. An Indian tribe in South America called the Yanomami fart as a greeting..." http://www.oddee.com/item_98612.aspx
  15. That was intense too. If I remember correctly, Bennet ended up with the ball in his hands after a Denver turnover and threw it like 20 rows deep into the stands.
  16. Well look, setting aside any moral considerations, what the bomb and occupy crowd fail to realize is that we simply couldn't afford it any longer: the country was in middle of financial meltdown, already hugely in debt , and the Iraq misadventure cost over $1 trillion. Obamas problem was thinking he could pursue a "neocon light" strategy: don't lead on libya, but support france and UK. Don't put boots on the ground on Syria, but provide material support to the rebels. Don't put any real pressure on Israel and Palestinians. So Libya, Syria and Israel/palestine are a mess. Iraq I can't fault him because wed done enough and it was time to leave. However let's not forget that it was our role in destabilizing Syria that led to rise of ISIS and subsequent invasion of northern Iraq. And this absolutely assinine pivot to Asia as a consolation prize to hawks for reducing our role in Mideast. So now Ukraine is a mess after we helped ovethrow a democratically elected leader. The only thing I give him credit for is the thawing of relations with Iran, notably an example where he went anti-hawk Bottom line your policy has to be consistent.
  17. Odd as it sounds but I had a strange feeling we were going to win that game all along. They had no answer for reed in the slot .... but more importantly moon was a %* up. Just knew he'd throw an ill-timed pick, and he did. Then another in OT and that's all she wrote. For me that game had a certain positive fatalism that the pats game didn't: that was a nail biter until the clock struck 0:00.
  18. it's funny, now that I see that play from 2 angles I don't see how you can over turn call on the field. An example of refs favoritism that backfired? joking ... well sort of ...
  19. For me, it was the victory over Pats in September 2011 Looked like another ho-hum drubbing down 21-0. Come roaring back, intense the whole way after that, and never gave up. The 3 picks of Brady ... McKelvin's and Wilson's outstanding athletic plays. Even Brady in the post-game commented that Wilson made a "heck of a play". And the big toss down the sidelines to Jones. As much as people hate on the Pats in the Bellichick- Brady era, you have to thank them for being so good they bring out the best in you, and it's an epic victory when you beat them. http://youtu.be/qgF_9Kxhgqs
  20. Well said. He gives the versatility at that spot you want. I don't understand the hogan-obsession around here.
  21. Josh Gordon (lost this year) + a quality player to add depth at LB or OL for this year ... I'd be very interested in that trade. I'm sick of waiting around for spiller to be "the guy". Plus as someone else alluded to in today's game rushing yards has a lot more to do with your oline and passing threat. Theres a reason RB FA values have plummeted on a relative basis
  22. Great article... “Israel is addicted to occupation” — Gideon Levy Israelis react the way they do due to years of dehumanisation of Palestinians. This is the basic tool they use to continue the occupation without having any moral doubts. The News on Sunday (TNS): Why is Israel doing what it is doing? Gideon Levy (GL): Israel wants to maintain the status quo — namely West Bank will be occupied, Gaza will be under siege and life in Israel will be peaceful. This is impossible. And life in Israel stopped being peaceful with the rockets falling into many cities and towns in Israel. And Israel found it suitable to react with massive bombing from the air and then from the ground operation. But those rockets did not fall from the sky for nothing because, you must know, the context – and, the context is that a few months ago Israel stopped the so-called peace talks with Mahmoud Abbas after kidnapping and murder of three young Israelis in the West Bank. Israel declared war on Hamas in the West Bank. Israel arrested about 500 Hamas activists who had nothing to do with kidnapping and murder. Israel stopped the salaries of about 40,000 employees in Gaza and Israel also declared that it is objecting to the unity government of Palestine. All this is the background to the present confrontation. http://tns.thenews.com.pk/israel-addicted-palestinian-occupation/#.U9S5n6iwqaw
  23. Funny under ghadafi our relations with libya were consistently improving. He gave up his WMD program in 03, the country was taken off the terror sponsor list, sanctions were lifted and we re-opened pur embassy in 06'. Then in 11' some tribal militants start acting up, and he does exactly what we would have in attempting to crush them. But instead we support that supposed alley France in militarily removing ghadafi and handing the country over to the same types of groups we oppose in other parts of the world. So let's see what message that sends to the rest of the world about dealing with US: 1. If you have nukes, don't give them up (nkorea knows this) 2. Normalized relations with US are transitory 3. In support of western allies, we will side with tribal militants that we are fighting elsewhere 4. We'll waste more taxpayer dollars and put our ambassadors at risk playing the charade we can rebuild the country we just helped destroy and handed over to militants
  24. Longest: Peter Frampton: Do You Feel Like We Do (live) 13:49 Shortest: Jethro Tull: Cold Wind to Valhalla (intro) 1:29 Remaining collection consists of Justin bieber tracks tightly bunched around radio friendly 3:30 mark
  25. He limped around last year with an ankle sprain and didn't even get 1,000, in an offense designed to feature running backs. Knock on him was always too small to run between tackles and be a durable every down back. Why give up anything meaningful for that?
