  1. Hoyer's strength was mobility. With the knee injury he's lost that too. If not after the bye, then maybe a couple more games, that's why I'm saying around week 5 or 6 I most likely see him gone. That whole browns team has failed to impress, so the losing record won't all be on hoyer, but still that will add to pressure to make a change. In the long run, this will actually be good for JF, both to give him time to learn, and not be be thrown to the wolves early in the season when the browns look sure to get off to bad start
  2. Im a JF fan, but I agree that was the right thing to do. Let him learn some more, odds are Hoyer won't last past game 5 or 6 anyway
  3. so the IS guy has a British accent. nice work jerks, looking the other way while these Jihadists were leaving from western countries to fight in Syria. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=grb_HHBGhoU&bpctr=1408538254 British national may have beheaded US journalist James Foley LONDON: British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond on Wednesday voiced his "absolute horror" at the apparent beheading of US journalist James Foley, which he said showed the "brutality" of Islamic State jihadists. Hammond said the executioner in the beheading video appeared to be British and work was under way to verify his background. http://timesofindia....ow/40502369.cms
  4. So its not just johnny football. Speed skaters are my favorite. Http://nypost.com/2014/08/19/the-brief-glorious-history-of-sports-and-the-middle-finger/
  5. Return of the Anti-War Right Sen. Rand Paul is among those insisting on a less aggressive approach to foreign policy. In the February 1987 issue of reason, Bill Kauffman wrote about the history of the "anti-war capitalists," explaining that while this cohort of activists did not look like the kind of protesters that were most prominent in the "peace movement" of the 1960s, '70s, and even '80s, they could trace their intellectual roots through a long tradition of libertarian anti-war thinking. Kauffman explained that before the era of the left-wing peace movement, opponents of war were "midwestern industrialists and retired military officers, publishing giants and Texas oilmen, or minerals executives and Great Plains farmers." That such people once dominated the anti-war movement, Kauffman noted, was "an inconvenient fact that has been consigned to the memory hole by left and right alike." Non-intervention, wrote Kauffman, had become part and parcel of a "grand mosaic of socialism, ecologism, holistic feminism, etc.," ideas that might turn off the majority of ordinary Americans who had, in Kauffman's view, retained a distinctly Jeffersonian view of foreign policy and non-intervention. Today, the idea of non-interventionism has re-entered the mainstream, in part because of the growing influence of libertarianism in American politics. http://reason.com/archives/2014/08/17/return-of-the-anti-war-right
  6. Agree on gabbert, cassell too but he wasn't available, leftwich sucks....of remaining available that leaves ....
  7. This. He didn't play horribly as people keep saying. Actually given the circumstances his play was decent. The line folded like a cheap tent on a number of pass plays, and on a short yardage rollout the WR never turned around and JM had no choice but to scramble. Neither he nor hoyer has a chance to get in sync with the offense because of pettines ridiculous decision to alternate them. Pettine not only stole rex ryans defense, he also stole his incompetence at developing QBs. And BTW kyle shanahan sucks too....Skins offense already looks better without him
  8. Actually a lot of people are saying he needs time to develop, not sure where nfl-ready comes from. And even if it applied to a 21-year old in preseason, posting the instances of less than exemplieary instances from "nfl-ready" vets would max out TBDs servers.
  9. Maybe that was directed at Snyder for not changing the team's name
  10. Oh gee so a 21 year old kid flips off some opposing team members who've been heckling him. Oh boy, wheels are coming off, that guy is so immature! Reality is his maturity level with all he's handling is light years past most of those criticizing him.
  11. Did he really make that comment "low 60's"? If so thats an odd one, any halfway decent fan would know that's a good figure.
  12. Is George strait considered like the king of modern country, and is he deserving ? Seems like hes held in quite high esteem
  13. Obama’s Foreign Policy and the Future of the Middle East Presentation to a Middle East Policy Council Capitol Hill Conference Ambassador Chas W. Freeman, Jr. (USFS, Ret.) Washington, DC, 21 July 2014 "This brings me to a key point of policy difficulty. We’ve repeatedly told people in the Middle East they must be either with us or against us. But they remain annoyingly unreliable about this. Iran’s ayatollahs are against us in Syria, Lebanon, and Bahrain but with us in Afghanistan and Iraq. The Assad regime and Hezbollah oppose us in Syria and Lebanon but are on our side in Iraq. The Salafi jihadis are with us in Syria but against us in Iraq and elsewhere. Israel’s government is with us on Iran but against us in blocking self-determination for Palestinians while favoring it for Kurds. Saudi Arabia is with us on Iran and Syria but against us in Iraq. It was for us and then against us before it was for us in Egypt. It’s against the Jihadistan in the Fertile Crescent but nobody can figure out where it stands on Salafi jihadis in other places. How can you have a coherent strategy to manage the Middle East when people there are so damnably inconsistent? The answer is that outsiders can’t manage the Middle East and shouldn’t try. It’s time to let the countries in the region accept responsibility for what they do rather than acting in such a way as to free them to behave irresponsibly." http://chasfreeman.n...he-middle-east/
  14. and the nightmare begins .... Hillary Clinton heading to Iowa for first time since 2008 http://onpolitics.usatoday.com/2014/08/18/hillary-clinton-iowa-harkin-steak-fry/
  15. Thanks, but part of the reason I'm on the worley kick is that I'm burning a CD for a place I hang out at, and the crowd won't tolerate old traditional country. Need the new stuff like worley with more potential for popular appeal
  16. She's more coherent than he is Rick Perry SHARTS on the Debate Floor:
  17. Rising --- Cohen Brown Robey Graham Carpenter Falling -- Tuel Lewis Branch Gilmore KWON-joe
  18. I think it's the tebow haters need to give it a rest. There's no way anyone can say with a straight face our current backups are better than tebow.
  19. Well they tried with kolb but he got KO'd. Lewis has regressed and tuel's arm has been exposed. Coaches are just caught in a vacuum all of a sudden
  20. apparently Tebow being open about his religion, which is shared by nearly 3 quarters of America, and the massive media scrutiny it brings, invalidates him from being a backup QB in spite of his successes
  21. For some reason I'm on a modern/popular country kick lately ... as I don't know this genre well, the only artist I've been listening to is Darryl Worley; Keep the Change, Better Than I Deserve, Second Wind, Good Day to Run .... are the ones I know Question: for those who know the genre better, what other songs from Worley would you recommend, and what the artists and their songs? Thanks yáll
  22. That's what Ive been saying from the start Dean. I think he deserves another chance, certainly as a backup, clearly on this team where you cant possibly tell me Lewis and Tuel give us a better chance to win, yet its unfortunate he's not getting that chance due to media concerns
  23. The other thing it wasn't the "same team". It was upgraded with welker, among others. And Manning's first year with broncos failed to outdo tebows as they lost their first playoff game. Now I'm not saying tebow>manning, but to claim manning didn't have more talent around him and engineered a massive turnaround is false too
  24. makes sense, I think Lewis is gone, as they seem to have something for Tuel.
