  1. People can laugh at them all they want, however both are better than our current crop. As is Vince young
  2. not at all, look what he did. gets a sign on bonus, doesn't show up for camp, is out of shape, and then cruises around town drunk
  3. could there possibly be a reunion .... ?
  4. After yesterday, I'd give them all the QBs on our roster for a 2nd #serious
  5. Your dossier: "I align myself with the most stupid people on a sports message board and call everyone else idiots" His: "Chomsky has been a highly influential academic figure throughout his career, and was cited within the field of Arts and Humanities more often than any other living scholar between 1980 and 1992. He was also the eighth most cited scholar overall within the Arts and Humanities Citation Index during the same period.[30][31][32][33] His work has influenced fields such as artificial intelligence, cognitive science, computer science, logic, mathematics, music theory and analysis, political science, programming language theory and psychology." http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noam_Chomsky
  6. With that kind of behavior he'll fit right in with fans at the Ralph
  7. He's hardly poor, as a matter of fact his rookie deal was so absurd it lead the league to fixing a rookie pay scale. And he's not shown much when he's been in there. I don't have all the stats in front of me, but I'm guessing their won-loss record is pretty much the same when he's been out.
  8. Maybe its an undisclosed clause in the lease?
  9. Meanwhile Libya is such a confused mess there are air strikes in the capital and they don't even know whose conducting them! War planes attacked targets in Libya's capital Tripoli on Sunday, hours after forces from the city of Misrata said they had seized the main airport. Tripoli residents heard jets followed by explosions at dawn, but it was not clear who sent the planes. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/africaandindianocean/libya/11053754/Tripoli-bombed-as-Libya-descends-further-into-chaos-and-Egypt-denies-involvement.html#disqus_thread
  10. Although not quite on par with Chomsky (who's the most brilliant academic I'm aware of, his criticism of Israel just a small factor why), Norman Finkelstein is good too. Here's a short 2:19 clip from him to accommodate the Israel cheerleaders sound-bite attention span. Hard-Talk host DESTROYED by Norman Finkelstein on…:
  11. US Gives Intelligence To Assad For Targetting Isis Commanders Chas Freeman, former US ambassador to Saudi Arabia, told the newspaper that a de facto truce with Assad was probable, though it was unlikely that Western government would offer public support to the Assad regime. Last year, the US came close to launching air strikes against Assad's regime, after it was accused of using chemical weapons against civilians in rebel-held areas of Damascus. He said he doubted that "the liberal interventionists and neoconservatives who had pursued regime change in Syria were capable of reversing course. To do so would require them to admit that they bore considerable responsibility for legitimising pointless violence that has resulted in the deaths of 190,000 Syrians." http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/us-gives-intelligence-assad-targetting-isis-commanders-1462375
  12. Im seeing the same thing, people are sick of the same old, same old and aren't satisfied with the spoon fed sound bites. Modern media gives them alternatives to do their own research now. For example, interviews like MIT Professor Noam Chomsky you can find on youtube. This guy is just so smart, clear and informed, no wonder the networks shun him. http://youtu.be/dSX7n1GfGAE
  13. Agree on lack of depth throughout league, but my point is that we always seem to have more than our fair share of injuries. Look how much time EJ missed last year, and 2nd most important guy on offense spiller limped around with high ankle sprain most of year. Concern over gilmore is simple: he's not looking good. was supposed to have been our shutdown corner, looks more like he'd have trouble shutting a door at this point. Chandler, Fitz, and a few others had that one uptick under gailey. As soon as opponents game planned for bubble screen, the bubble burst. Don't think injury risk has anything to do with not trying to pound it in more. If you look at our performance last few years we simply haven't been effective doing it
  14. Lol @ that fear mongering fool ... The Defense Department on Friday pushed back against Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s ® claim that fighters from the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) might have entered the United States across its southern border. Perry, who is weighing another run for the president in 2016, made the assertion Thursday during a speech at the conservative Heritage Foundation. "There's the obvious great concern that, because of the condition of the border from the standpoint of it not being secure, and us not knowing who is penetrating across, that individuals from ISIS or other terrorist states could be [crossing]," he said. "There's a very real possibility that they may have already used that [strategy]." 15. Here's mine: - Injury Risk: we just don't have a lot if depth in some key areas and always seem to get the bug - Secondary: with loss of Byrd and Gilmore not stepping up, this is defense's weakest unit - Red Zone Offense: yards won't translate into victories if we can't score TDs in red zone. I like Chandler but just think he's too easily pushed around in red zone, doesn't get position like an NBA power forward. And our running game can't pound it in consistently enough
  16. Heck, I even see improvement in EJ, making me perhaps a minority of 1 here. My top concerns now are: - Injury risk - secondary - red zone offense
  17. Well they're certainly a better team now than last year at the same time. Where that translates in terms of record i don't know. But I'm strangely not the pessimist I usually am at this time
  18. You can't read? "Hugh Lovatt, Israel and Palestine coordinator at the European Council on Foreign Relations, said that while al-Arouri was a significant Hamas figure – serving as the group's most prominent representative in Turkey – the former militant could have an ulterior motive for making his claim. "Given the timing I would be very suspicious about his claim. I still don't believe Hamas as an organisation and its upper echelons sanctioned the kidnappings – something that Israeli intelligence also believes," he said. His claim has not been supported by any other member of Hamas. http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/aug/21/hamas-kidnapping-three-israeli-teenagers-saleh-al-arouri-qassam-brigades

  20. In fairness to hoyer (who I don't like) this us a new offense for him too
  21. Have to agree w/skip that coaching staff is hurting both players. Pettine is in over his bald head, and shanahan is a dud ... I'm really impressed with how much better skins offense already looks without him. At this time I'm having a hard time seeing now any QB thrives under that regime.
  22. Islamic State militants seize four more foreign hostages in Syria Jihadists flush with arms and relying on shock tactics abduct Europeans and Japanese national as US strikes continue Flush with looted weapons, buoyed by sweeping gains in Syria and eager to shock, Islamic State militants have seized four more foreign hostages near Aleppo in recent days, taking to more than 20 the number of foreigners they now hold. http://www.theguardi...es-syria-aleppo
  23. double entendre's are a plague like we've never seen before
  24. I can understand how those conversations are both difficult and important with ones kids, but the woman in the video says "pornography today is a plague like we have never seen." lol ok ... this is worse than Black Death plague that killed at least 75 million Europeans? people looking at nude people has been around since beginning of time (we know this because if that didn't arouse people, we wouldn't have more people). Sure the Internet has made it more accessible to minors, but it's hardly the worst plague of all time. that woman is interjecting her own beliefs about nudity and the human body into the discussion
