  1. I did "he's not physical, and not particularly fast in pads ... as a result he doesn't create separation" That was a nice grab in the bears game ... I'd never take that one away from him. And mike Williams who made one just as good later in that game. But after 19 games I'd expect him to have some nice grabs even as am average WR. His overall stat line however undermines the argument he's anything more that that.
  2. I have no idea what that play (that netted next to nothing) is supposed to prove. When I said he's not physical its in the context of shedding bumps and jams and keeping defenders off him to create seperation. He doesn't consistently do that. He's also not a guy who one says "just throw it in woods direction and let him fight for it with the DB because he wins physical matchups". He's simply not that kind of WR
  3. Biggest game for Bills in 10 years, 2004 Week 17 we needed to beat steelers to make playoffs. What's at stake this time is control of the division.
  4. does is matter to you since you don't know how to calculate a simple average? Posted Today, 07:55 PM FireChan, on 05 October 2014 - 07:54 PM, said: SWAT's YPG is less than 40. Average receiver?
  5. I'm glad they're being aggressive and playing to win
  6. watching pats now, these refs are sucking the energy out of games
  7. 2nd rounders have high expectations ... especially @41st overall. The consensus around here is that he's great, never hear the slightest utterance of criticism ... and Im just not seeing it. Consider this: if Woods were all he's cracked up to be, would Bills trade away a 1st for another WR? No.... they wait and take a Beckham or Benjamin. IMO coaches knew something about Woods most fans don't ... he's pretty average
  8. you cant possibly think Woods is the physical specimen Moulds was? Moulds a tank @ 6'2', 225lbs ... and very raw coming out of college. Woods is 2" shorter, 35 lbs lighter, and came out of USC about as polished as he could be.
  9. correct on draft order, my bad. But doesn't change the conclusion.
  10. I saw him whiff badly on a block on a throw to the right in 3rd QTR to Chandler, that could have cost us an important 1st down. Anyway, shouldn't a 1st round WR justify his role other than just a blocker?
  11. I see his AVG @ 57. Also Sammy, a rookie, has nearly 2x as many yards and 2 TDs to Wood's 0, with the same QBs
  12. he's not physical, and not particularly fast in pads ... as a result he doesn't create separation,. It's not QB-specific. With Orton throwing for 300+ today, Woods still only got 3 catches for 37
  13. ... is simply not that great of a WR. I'd call him average, and his stats support that: 2013 - 14 games, 587 yards (42 avg), 3 TDs 2014 - 5 games, 156 yards (31 avg), 0 TDs
  14. - Thankfully Robey ran down Tate after the whiff by Williams or in all likelihood game over - Credit McKelvin for being physical with Megatron and getting him out of the game - I noted how we had depth on D last week when Kyle and Nigel went out .... Charles in charge showed why today - Orton showed what an NFL-caliber QB looks like: ran uptempo offense, ball came out fast, tight spirals all over the field, calm when pressured, intensity and leadership - Spiller's problem is that he lacks confidence to run up the middle even when there are at least a couple easy yards because he thinks he can't take on tacklers in the hole -- he's right. But better guard play could change that. He has some faults like most any back, but he's still a contributor and someone who the defense must account for. In all likelihood hes a bill next year (sorry haters) - Carpenter great FA pickup last year -- strong leg, and delivers under pressure - Matt Prater will be out of work for a week, he'll be announced as Lion as early as tomorrow (I predict) - Never seen a catch like Sammy's in Q4. I think he's really spooking DBs. They simply don't know what to make of him, nor how to defend
  15. Lot of assumptions for a back that will be 28 next year. They obviously like him and I think he likes it here. Odds are he's a bill next year. Fred BTW will be 34 next year , this team cannot just shed the other starting back on the roster so easily.
  16. Thankfully it was robey (I think) who made the game saving tackle downfield. BTW who was the safety that whiffed?
  17. I don't get why anymore will pay him more part. IMO he stays here simply because no one will offer the big contract
  18. Its just a matter of money. He can contribute in a lot of ways. At this point @ 28 years old I think he stays simply because no one else offers him a big contract. BTW this discussion is way premature with 11 games left in the season
  19. Showing megatron how its done!
  20. Never seen a catch quite like that one. I honestly think the DBs are spooked by this guy.
  21. Matt prater just found a job in Detroit
  22. US and its allies have been supporting the rebels ("terrorists" if they were opposing one of our "allies") with billions in weapons, aid and "advisors", and looking the other way as jihadists left their country to go join the fight against Assad. And for some more irony from today ..... " ... for the first time this year Islamist insurgents were reported to have become a major presence in Abu Ghraib ... 23. only an idiot couldnt see thats not central to the main point that US and allies destablizing Syria allowed for the rise of ISIS as a force in the area. (as lybob pointed out the word you and "Doctor (incorrect) Detail" gotten so hung up on is debatable anyway.) And to answer the other burning question you have, yes I want fries with that. Regular size. Please repeat the order OK, want to make sure you got everything right this time. Thanks!
