  1. Brady is a wussy thats for sure, I remember he celebrated the ridiculous PF call against Hughes in the 1st QTR. But how come no one else realizes he was trying to avoid the flag the official whipped in there?
  2. so I guess this means TJ Graham will get waived to make room?
  3. Another way to think about how this draft is to consider each players trade value in draft terms: EJ: going to be generous and say a 5th Woods: 2nd or 3rd Kiko: due to injury a 3rd Goodwin: 5th or 6th Duke Williams: nothing Meeks: nothing Hopkins: nothing Gragg: 6th So about a year and half into playing time, there's a severe downward drift and the draft is worth far lower, with only 1 player (Gragg) worth more and that's only moving from last round up one. People can use their own judgment for each, but IMO no reasonable assessment will be far off.
  4. Why don't you link to the thread instead of using just part of my post? Nfce is disproportiinately over represented in the super bowl .... period. You tried making the case that last 10 would show a difference than the entirety, and yet that still showed a disproportional amount. FYI eagles and giants are in nfce .... look it up. And if you can't see the logic of refs wanting a bigger NFL pie to negotiate a piece of, I really have nothing else to say.
  5. Nope youve completely misstated what I said , all along I've been consistent about the league incented to encourage the most profitable match-ups, which will often be a marquee QB matchup like Brady vs manning. Those translate to huge incremental ad dollars. Its not just big-market And yeap of course when the refs contracts come up for renogotiation the bigger the pot, the morr in abdolute dollars they'll get. And BTW you have no idea how ad revenue works, its based on a formula of market share. And the league picks up new advertisers every year, hardly locked in as you claim My view has been consistent, and you're been consistent in misreprenting it
  6. Its not solely big-market small-market. They influence games toward the most profitable outcome. Bills were popupar back then, tons of talented players and an espn darling. People got engahed in the drama of their super bowl saga . And anyway the dollars at stake today are much bigger, and everyone working for the league knows it
  7. Posted this in a differen thread, I think the motivation behind this is $$$$$$$$'s. The difference in tv ratings and ad revenue between a brady-manning matchup vs an Orton -hoyer is huge. And with the officials ultimately getting paid from the same pot, they have every incentive to influence outcomes. The timing of the bad calls and players targeted is very revealing
  8. why is this a player safety issue?
  9. I agree. People are all over our D for pats loss, but you simply can't put it all on the defense that much. Guys get gassed and are mentally unprepared to come back on the field so quickly. Add to that pats get to keep making adjustments and its just a matter of time. Big shout out to the refs in that game for killing our momentum on offense too
  10. Weird thing is that he ran into the guy. The actual dive may have been to avoid getting hit by the flag
  11. Long the guard taken by bears 4 picks later who went to pro bowl in rookie year. Obviously there's a lot of 20/20 hindsight there given our guard situation this year, but given redo thats who I'd take @16.
  12. Not so sure. They really need a run game to be effective, which plays to our strengths
  13. Anyone catch bellichik wiping boogar from his nose, checkingn it out in his hand, then wiping it on his pull over ? LOL nice camera work
  14. with the 2nd round picks this year -- Carr and Garroppolo -- looking strong, a redo IMO would not have these guys getting past Rd1, with teams trading up if need be to get them. Accordingly I foresee an even bigger run on QBs in Rd1 2015. By time we get to RD2 and our selection, probably looking at 3rd to 4th round quality in previous years. teams looking to draft QB high could be: Bills Jets Miami Texans Titans Bucs Cards Rams .... Toss in a few unexpected ones, and there could be as anywhere from 5 to 7 teams drafting QB in RD1.
  15. they get the most out of their talent
  16. celebrate while you can pats another narrow home win over one of the league's worst teams, you're about to get smoked over the next 6 weeks
  17. maybe after tonight we can stop with the nonsense talk that EJ is better than Geno Smith too
  18. I won't hold it against him the team gave him one of roscoe Parrish's old jerseys
  19. Jets are tied for 2nd in sacks. They can get after him. I think rex will throw in some safety blitz too Throw at Revis. Don't let your offense become predictable by not looking at his side of the field. If you're going to throw picks tthrow them, but at least go down trying to win
  20. Maybe they learn from our game and don't make the same mistakes by: - not throwing at revis - not running exotic blitz's at Brady - not abandoning the run especially when Mayo is out
  21. Would have beaten them the year before too if not for the Lee Evans drop in the end zone
  22. Jets beat them there in the playoffs in 2010 season. When in doubt just remember these words from Arnold: "IF IT BLEEDS, WE CAN KILL IT!" - Arnold Schwarze…:
  23. IMO Pats are being put on too much of a pedestal. Which if the Bills feel that way gives Pats a psychological advantage going into it. They can and have been beaten 2x already this year, both times convincingly. Yeah theyve looked good that past 2 weeks, but most any team with some wins will sting some good ones together; and without the Zebras, Bills may have one that last one too. Let's also not forget the injuries: last year when Mayo went out marked the decline of their defense, and it's probably not coincidence that all 22 of our points came after he we out too.
  24. sounds like theyre in the process of distancing themselves from it. Another sign it's not looking so good
