  1. We need this not just for the division, but also the WC race, we're 3 & 0 against NFC, but only 1 & 3 against AFC
  2. The only blown call today I recall was on vikes Matt Khalil illegal hands to face. It may have effected the outcome because it hurt their momentum and took them out of FG range. IMO that doesn't happen against pats, unless its against us
  3. Go to 4&4 next week by beating the pats and all will be forgiven (and them some). I'm counting on them too
  4. No such thing as an embarrassing win except for the kind of ref-assisted fiasco pats got from us last week.
  5. Was wondering too, hard to really see on TV but my senss is hes still doing a good job covering his side of the field. But they're using the smaller and faster Hughes to take more advantage of the penetration dareus is getting with stunts
  6. Done for year according to sessler @ NFL.com
  7. Thats what i posted a few weeks ago on woods and of course got attacked for it. Overall he's of course the more dynamic athlete, but he lacks some upper body strength to shed jams at the line. A more clear comparison would be with Sammy, he's got a powerful upper body and consistently brushes off jams and hand checks. Just look at the last first down he made on the final drive and you'll see what I mean.
  8. - Sammy Watkins, Rookie of Week for 2nd time: 9 catches. 122 yards, 2 TDs including game winner - We need guards bad. Should have signed Richie weeks ago. When the inevitable happens and do so now, it will look like we compromised values out of desperation - Unless he's not IR'd, IMO Spiller has played his last game for the Bills. In his absence they will learn it's the line and not the RB that matters, because they will pay more attention to the line thinking they can't just rely on the starting RBs. Approaching 30 and the team not having had success with him, unless he stays around for dirt cheap, don't see them resigning him - It's scary how slow Orton is. He runs like a cripple. Shade of Dan Marino, an old Dan Marino - Our run D wasn't as strong this week, but only because Spikes made some bad decisions and lost lane responsibility on a few plays. They'll correct that and be back on track next week, when we really need to shut down Jets run attack - Anyone busting on the defense needs their head examined. To surrender only 16 points when your own offense is turning it over and going three n' out is outstanding - Hogan proved me wrong. Great for him! Happy we kept him over Graham, and started him over Williams. He's physical and can make tough catches.
  9. Getting stuffed at home by fins can do that to you. Let's hope they hope they atone by beating pats next week
  10. Disagree with that being the explanation. It could account for some of the non-calls against them , but it doesn't for the phantom ones against us.
  11. He's such a nasty character I do my best to not even think of him
  12. No wonder, its a pointless thread otherwise
  13. Unfortunately I agree with him. Just hoping that by time we get our 2 games out of the way with them, they haven't fully learned how to use him in their offence. "I just think they got a lot of the pieces here," Harvin said. "You've got Geno (Smith), with a great veteran behind him. You got (Eric) Decker. You got two great running backs. They've always had a great defense here. So that's all exciting stuff to me. But all I remember is them being a very tough team. I know they have a few losses in their hands, but they was in every single game with a couple of plays here and there that could have easily switched the game. So I definitely think this team has all the pieces. So like I said, that's what excited me, knowing they already had the pieces here and I could just fit right in, try to make my little plays, and hopefully I can be a little difference." Www.NFL.com
  14. Hence my reference to a trend
  15. it's either a) coincidence or b) something is up I was willing to believe "a)" until last Sunday
  16. A blown call but at least one of that can be made within the rules
  17. How do you hold prior to the snap?
  18. My football consciousness doesn't go back that far, but werent similar charges made about shula's dolphins in the 70's? That shula chaired a committee to review the officials? Fans complained of well-timed phantom calls on the bills some of which were blatantly bad, and I heard even Ralph uncharacteristically threw a fit after one of the games.
  19. Other than Bellicheck, all 3 of the afce hc's could be in trouble by end of year
  20. That's what I see as the most likely outcome. Moving up from somewhere in RD2 to RD1 will be too costly for a team that already does not have a Rd1 or 4 selection. For better or worse im afraid we're all in on orton-manuel for a few years.
  21. Im going to go out on a limb and say the offense has finally realized the defense is keying on spiller between the tackles to start the game. And they will run some kind of play action off that. If the short read isn't there Orton will have green light to throw it deeper
  22. He's just too slow and not athletic enough. His off field character may be high, but as an NFL-WR he's a dime a dozen at best. With Chan gone, there's no connection to the offensive scheme. Definitely no need to use a roster spot on him
  23. Other thab bellichik every coach in the division could be in trouble this year
  24. What difference does it make? Theyre already 1&6. They need to try new thing . And his contract after this year is not guaranteed, so theres little downside
  25. At least they're trying to address their needs and get geno more targets. Unlike us who have a desperate need for quality guards, and aren't looking outside at all
