  1. IMO its the other way around. Troy is far more versatile, and is even effective living up at OLB. He covers more of the field and hes probably more opportunistic on turnovers. Physically can do things Lott could only dream of...like last night leaping over both lines in an attempt to stuff a short yardage play. When he was still broadcasting Madden said troy was best defensive player in football, and I think he was right.
  2. Maybe boselli was a better pure pass protector, but he couldnt get 20 yards downfield on screens and clear out all the linebackers and secondary like peters does routinely. Guy is amazing
  3. Not saying I agree with all, but in the discussion I got ..... QB: Brady, Manning TE: Gronk, Gates WR: Megatron LT: Peters DL: Watt SS: Polamolu DB: Revis NT: Wilfork K: Vinatieri KR: Hester
  4. That was key matchup I watched form the first snap and Sammy was getting separation. Idk if Orton was afraid or the game plan wasn't to challenge him, but they waited too long. When they finally went that way it was too late on the scoreboard.
  5. Idk if id go that far. If he had at least the chandler or hogan catch too, perhaps.
  6. sammy or telvin, sammy may win because he's the bigger name, but whenever a defender forces 2 turnovers in a winning effort IMO that beats 100 yards receiving and 2 TDs
  7. love his attitude. Im sick of the Mr. Humble "just trying to be here and help my team mates out" pitch "I know that I can perform and I can play on this level and I can play just as well as anybody who's been playing so far," Brown said Monday morning. "That's how I truly feel, but at the end of the day, I don't control who's active and who's not. Unfortunately it was me, but I don't want to focus on that because that's not important."' http://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/sports/football/nfl/bills/2014/10/20/bryce-brown-buffalo-bills-running-backs-cj-spiller-fred-jackson-injured/17609173/
  8. Purely about money. For the right price (cheap) why not keep him around for depth and use him more as the utility guy he always should have been? But my guess is that he signs for slightly more than we offer somewhere else.
  9. His highlight film from eagles looked great. But his preseason work here wasn't that impressive. Had too much spiller-itis trying to bump everything outside when it wasn't there. Hoping the eagles version is the one we get.
  10. And the hits just keep coming these losers. The taste regulator should ban starship and Asia from radio play. Asia - Heat of the Moment:
  11. Chandler may have saved our season on the 4th and 20 (certainly saved the game). Kudos to kyle for not giving up on him. Those guys are building a strong rapport .... no surprise given Orton's strength at mid range passes. A play though that also may have saved the game that no one is talking about is when sammy deflected the pass that was behind him. The DB was waiting in position to pick it off.
  12. I thought ronde barber was worst I'd seen, then ayanbadejo comes along and outdoes him. You have to wonder how he even got that job. Is there really no one else more qualified?
  13. Jackson added that the team has the utmost confidence in Bryce Brown to carry the load. "He's an every-down back," Jackson said, per the Bills' official Twitter. "He can do it all. We won't miss a beat." Www.NFL.com
  14. Our real opportunity cost was next year's first . since most of our first round picks are misses, odds are we didn't give away much (if anything) to get him
  15. They're backkkk... Jefferson Starship - Find Your Way Back:
  16. Broncos Colts gave up on him. He's already been to a super bowl with broncos, and has the inside track on another run this year.
  17. Since most bills first round picks don't work out (EJ already), odds are we didn't give up much if anything for him. 2015 more likely to take another mccargo or maybin, than a pro bowler
  18. With our spotty history the way I look at it, if he ends up a top 10 at his position (he may be alreasy), we're ahead of the game. Because we're running at a hit rate well below 50% (1 for every 2 1st round picks) on that measure: EJ never will be Gilmore never will be Dareus finally playing like one this year Spiller in only one season Mckelvin never will be Maybin Beast Mode (for someone else) McCargo Etc etc etc
  19. should be leading league in sacks after this week
  20. pats got mauled by jets offense, something tells me bears wont have a problem scoring
  21. I dont have the data behind me, but I think dropping to 1 & 4 in conference maybe we can stomach one more loss at most and have a chance at WC tie breakers ... so yeah, this is big. But I think we will win .... strength against strength, I think we win the run D vs run O matchup
  22. well Im looking forward to seeing some fresh looks from the backfield. Fred/CJ combo wasnt getting it done. Yes the line has a lot to do with that, but barring fumbles it cant get any worse. Boobie held his own as a replacement, boobie + bryce sounds good to me (but so does boobie + anything for that matter)
  23. i saw spikes make some bad decisions and lose lane responsibility. I think its easily correctable and wont happen with jets
  24. key matchup is our run D vs their run O. Take that away, make them one-dimensional and put it in Geno's hands is our best shot. They looked good against Pats because they mauled them in the run game (+200 yards). Cant see that happening against us
