  1. The guy with 1 TD and 6 picks over last 4 weeks. The guy over last 3 games has lowest QBR this seasons of any starter. Yeah let's keep the known suck in there versus unkbown potential. And saying JF doesn't know playbook is silly too. He's been doing something for last 12 weeks. And BTW this is a new offense for BH too
  2. Ummmmm because BH has six picks and just one touchdown over his past four starts, not exactly highlight reel material. And ummm the Williams play was not a fumble.
  3. Lol what a bunch of dopes. Hoyer coming off lowest rated 3 game stretch of any qb this season and they let him talk himself into the starting position. Makes Brown's coaches look weak letting hoyer dictate whose starting. JF gives them the best chance to win. Give the guy reason to play instead of throwing him in after Hoyer loses the season.
  4. Week 14 -- who we want in key games Steelers @ Bengals -- Bengals as we want them to win out the division and beat WC competitors Steelers and Browns Jets @ Vikes - Jets as it helps our SoS Ravens @ Dolphins - I think Ravens as Fins are currently ahead in the WC rankings, may also help in somewhat unlikely event it comes down to us and Dolphins in the division Texans @ Jags - Jags Chiefs @ Cardinals - Cardinals Patriots @ Chargers - tough one to call, if we win and Pats lose that's only 1 back in the loss column, which would be an amazing closing of the gap. But if we can't catch them then it would have been better off they register a loss for a WC competitor. Personally I'd take a Patriots loss as it gives us another angle at the playoffs, and take our chances that Chargers lose other remaining games to Broncos, and Chiefs and 9ers on the road
  5. only getting 2 vs browns didn't help (and Kyle getting robbed of one at the end). Puts us 24 behind Bears, 4 games left, we have to average an even 6/game to tie. Won't be easy against Manning, Brady, and Rodgers ... but hey you never know
  6. Yeah just what we need, bail the aints out of their salary cap problems and make then ours. Let's take Byrd back too while we're at it. Heck even Graham is under performing his contract, so let's take him too. So we coule go back to being a 5 win team starting the month of December too!
  7. Gruden is right. Jets need to throw it more
  8. no doubt the investments on the defensive side of the ball are paying off, including Gilmore (RD1), Aaron Williams (RD2) and McKelvin (RD1) before he got hurt. My point is that you can win with different defensive philosophies ... Giants recent super bowls were about the front 7. Seahawks last year was about the LOB Secondary (and a 3rd round QB). My preference (and I acknowledge it as much given there are different paths to success) would be to build from the secondary because that keeps the play in front of them and neutralizes the big play from the offense, and contributes in run support and with coverage sacks. And those games where the pass rush isnt getting pressure (which happens no matter how good the front 7) you're not exposed. A weak secondary and no pressure, is doomed
  9. I never said any of that, simply responding to your heavily biased view that a)dB's are not important given rules changes and b) they can all easily be had in late rounds. And since it was so easily dismissed its no wonder you can't respond directly to it.
  10. By that logic then we shouldnt draft DL in Rd1, look where Kyle Williams was drafted! You get good players where you can. Had teams known how good Richard Sherman was you really think he's not a top 10 pick? Lol OK. You think its a coincidence the team with the best secondary also won the super bowl last year? Rule changes don't invalidate DBs, if anything greater passing increases their importance. Also what shouldnt be lost is that quality secondary also play a big role in run support.
  11. I think the league is more likely to show a rerun of the cowboys TNF game. Jerry has.convinced them one dose of romo per week on a national game isnt enuf
  12. what is it with bills and ball bag injuries?
  13. - Watkins is not hurt, they wouldn't be running reverses to him if he were. Defenses have figured out not to jam him at the line as his best asset is upper body strength. They play him soft and dare Bills to throw it up for jump ball with the DB, and Sammy simply doesnt have the vertical to pull it off. They need to find a different way to get him open - Bills offense lost it's spark and explosiveness when Spiller went out -- it's never been the same (the games where they scored points since ... Jets 2x and Browns was all due to defense). Bryce Brown is not anywhere near the same big play threat and cant draw defenders attention away from the WRs like Spiller - Gilmore is fine, don't people realize he lines up where the coaches tell him? Geesh - Bills need Dareus back and healthy next week to stop the run and create interior pressure on Manning, to force him to move out of the pocket
  14. it's not the # of penalties anyway, It's the timing, terribleness, and one-sided-ness that his crew screws the bills with
  15. good, as long as it's not that $&!% Walt Coleman
  16. him too, as a runner he reminds me of a bigger, faster fred
  17. Actually with spiller likely gone, Fred getting old, and bryce not showing much....a back like rice would be perfect for us.
  18. I agree w/ this. If Incognito is b-balled I dont see how Rice wont be too. And it's unfortunate because although what he did was horrible, he was punished TWICE, and he and his wife both stated they've reconciled and didnt need this public intrusion in their marriage.
  19. That's an irrelevant standard. Like I said they ran him on a reverse his first game since the injury was reported in practice. He's fine. He's being defended differently. Soft coverage by the DB with support in the slot from the safety. They're giving him the sideline route because they don't think leaping and fighting it is his strength. If bills want to take advantage of this they'd call quick outs to him. Not a big play but pretty much 5-7 yards whenever they want. This is what pats would do until defense changed their coverage.
  20. He has been. Against KC (the first game after the groin injury in practice) they ran him on a reverse. You don't run a reverse to a guy with a bad groin. And that was 3 games ago, he's fine. He's just being defensed differently.
  21. Defenses are learning how to play him better. They don't jam him at the line because with his powerful upper body he was just brushing off DBs like nothing. And thats how he was getting separation. Now they play the DB soft, 5-7 yards off the line, and cheat the safety inside and behind him. I noticed KC started this, and then Miami and jets did the same with great effect. For Sammy to be open, he really needs to be open. He doesn't have the wingspan of a mike evans, or the leaping ability of a Beckham, which allows the QB to just throw into coverage and let them fight for it.
  22. I think that's a fair analysis of each player. But I'd rank ODB>Evans because of Evans lack of speed.
  23. He won't get fired before season is over. No point. They have to pay him anyway, players like him. What are they going to do, put it in Marty morzenzwiegs hands? Lol
  24. he copied post from Miami game
