  1. because it fits the narrative they want. but like most things in the weak defense of watkins versus beckham, if they bothered to think thru it theyd realize it didnt. by all accounts ebron had a disappointing season -- by far worst among the highly drafted WRs/TEs. so saying the Bills rated him highly just supports the charge that bills didn't know how to properly assess WRs last year, overvaluing watkins too
  2. Lol hes great. Always keeps people guessing. Actually like his comment better that pats if found guilty probably won't be fined, but lynch is fined hundreds of thousands for shoes and media etiquette. Puts things into perspevtive where their priorities lie.
  3. was it billed as a to the letter-reenactment of the book? idk Im just asking. I think the movie was simply "inspired by the story of Chris Kyle" and couldnt possibly be a wholly accurate portrayal, even if it tried. His life was used as a vehicle to demonstrate the challenge balancing war service, domestic realities, and societal re-adjustment. Thats the purpose. btw most "life stories" if theyre good are used as a vehicle to raise some challenge ... the completely accurate portrayal seems both unrealistic and most likely dull
  4. yeah, why trade a 1st and 4th to trade up for WR in a draft that was deep in WRs
  5. 2014 was deep at WR...you disputing that? Winston, marriota, and the 3 first round QBs from 2014 (bortles, manziel, Bridgewater) are all in the same class. How do you rank them? Im saying Winston and marriota go ahead of the others
  6. Really? I bet Winston and marriota are still the first qbs taken if the classes were combined. Sadly the #1 overall 2014 picks entire career is already in serious doubt Same goes for manziel, the most visible player So far the only thing that looks above average from the 2014 draft is the WR class, and maybe ...just maybe ....the LBs
  7. Actually this was more difficult than I anticipated, and you could actually start fielding a decent team with all these guys on the roster. Poz has been playing strong on a weak team for years Whither is going to the probowl Byrd is being most highly valued by the league Fitz is the vet QB everyone is saying we need Levitre fills a huge hole at guard Stevie adds a consecutive 1,000 yard guy to a WR corp still very much unsettled Peters is a stud but he's getting old Marshawn stud too but he's approaching the RB wall and the position is being devalued by the league Branch ... if you had confidence could stay on the wagon ... is a suitable replacement for an aging kyle williams or potential loss of dareus in FA Really any of these guys a case can be made for
  8. tough call but i went with stevie johnson, as we still need help at wr. peters was a close 2nd but his age have to wonder how many years he has left (he'd be my choice if age weren't a factor). similarly with marshawn, he's younger but rb's hit the wall sooner and he's starting to push 30.
  9. the pick is in. seattle over pats, and they will cover spread too. probably would have gone seahawks anyway, but i think deflate-gate will effect outcome of this game just like spygate did when the undefeated pats played underdog giants ....and it wont be good for pats. has to, no way this wont be a huge distraction.
  10. Or the pro-war propagandists -- both left and right -- who want to deflect any criticism as "anti-american" even though american lives and dollars are lost. Yeah, it's that kind of stuff I think the movie makers didn't want to get in the middle of.
  11. - It was a good movie, but with it's fair share of flaws. It may appear great relative to the horrifically bad - and getting worse - Hollywood product out there these days. But in a few years out it will be mostly forgotten and not in the league of epic war movies like Patton or Apocalypse Now. - It questions one's ability to re-adjust from a war environment, not the war itself -- it's the latter that leads some to conclude it errs on the side of pro-war propaganda. IMO they purposely stayed away from the meaning of war question too much, and perhaps because Iraq was such a farce they felt it would have distracted from the main purpose. However it can be argued the farcical nature also added to the re-adjustment problem. - My own reflection is that I wouldn't be able to re-adjust. Once you lose that degree of compassion needed to perform in the war time situation (especially with the civilian aspect), I can see not getting it back enough to function in a stable society. - The climactic battle scene was made amazing by the spooky sand storm. - Bradley Cooper did a fine acting job. - Sienna Miller is hot.
  12. Is what? Be specific please and provide source
  13. Lol Dungy wasn't the coach that year, tossed it in after you referenced bradys record vs colts in general, Mr. "Careful and Accurate" lol
  14. Lol another nice one for you in a season colts went to super bowl. Didn't get to play pats post season that year because pats lost to jets in foxboro ....lol Colts vs patriots 2009 last 4 minutes:
  15. Lol so " careful" and accurate you forgot colts went thru the team that "owned them" on the way to the super bowl. Nice little refresher for you 2006 AFC Championship Battle of the Titans:
  16. Dungy's colts beat New England on the way to the super bowl.
  17. bizarre isnt it, no one in the media is even mentioning it. Maybe it's Goodell's nephew or something
  18. No, because in that case no fool would have argued that watkins is better.
  19. He said during middle of the game //heat of battle he couldn't tell the difference, that makes sense to me
  20. Why not just interview the guy in charge of preparing and handling the balls?
  21. Why don't they just go right to the source and interview the guy in charge of preparing and handling the balls?
  22. Lol I used favre as an archetype for a risk taker and cited geno as an example of that mentality, pointing out he's not as good. Never said they were comparably good. Lol talk about a "misread"
  23. I think the definition youre looking for is "calculated risk taker." Favre was a risk taker, tried to extend plays and looked for big strikes more often than others. That's what geno is....not as good....but similar mentality. Brady is a calculated risk taker...or he "takes the money" as wannsted said, meaning he takes what the defense gives him, no matter if its deep or dink and dunk.
  24. Seen plenty of his jets games. Keeps his eyes down field, not afraid to throw deep, throw into tight coverage or look for the big play. He's a risk taker , no doubt .
