Suburban New Jersey Super Bowl
truth on hold replied to NoSaint's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
lol yeah better to have it in the "not so" superdome with the 30+ minute power outages -
we don't know who yet -- havent even been thru the combine. But one thing is almost certain: not having a 1st round pick precludes us from nabbing a top ranked QB like a Winston or Mariotta because we don't have enough value to trade up.
-
lol ... on one hand you say ODB makes an excellent catch, and on the other you credit it to the QB throwing it to him ... it's gotten so bad the watkins-trade apologists can't even not contradict themselves in the same post. This was hardly a ball that catches itself, watkins had plenty of opportunities on similarly thrown balls from orton/ej

You really are dumb, no point trying to explain it to you any further
-
Lol @ you calling out someones attention to detail when you couldn't understand that trading one first for a guy another team drafted, doesnt require as many firsts as trading a first so you can move up in the first round to draft a guy. Lol lol lol ..still having a hoot over that one

Books you have read multiple times
truth on hold replied to Captain Hindsight's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Moby Dick Only fiction I've read 2x. First time in high school when I couldn't relate. About a decade later reread and found it essential. -
unless it's labeling ebron a "bust" or dismissing all of ODB's accomplishments because of Eli Manning even though Cruz only managed 50 yards/game and 1 TD total thru 6 weeks with that same QB ... lol

maybe it's my own anti-pats bias being expressed, but Im not seeing it. Last time they played was 2012, hawks won, and they're a better team now. For the most part they contained a healthy Gronk, the guy that hurt them was Welker, and he's gone now: http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2012101408/2012/REG6/patriots@seahawks#menu=gamepass&tab=analyze&analyze=boxscore

I think thats pretty much been answered. Pats are favored in Vegas, and national polls show a majority picking Pats to win: http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/polls yet TBD poll has Hawks by an approximate 2 to 1 margin. A little anti-Pats bias revealed here? lol

Bart didn’t have a cat in hell’s chance of coming back from the grave — but after being buried for five days, he clawed his way back. The miracle feline’s misfortune started when he was struck by a car and his grief-stricken owner laid him to rest. “The cat appeared to be lifeless and the owner buried him. Five days later, the cat showed up in a neighbor’s yard — alive!” the Humane Society of Tampa Bay in Floridatold ABC7.com. The badly hurt, weak and dehydrated kitty dug himself out of the grave and crept back slowly. http://nypost.com/2015/01/27/cat-survives-being-buried-alive-for-5-days/

dont forget the "greatest team ever" got upset during spygate super bowl year
-
you think not knowing outcome of investigation will effect pats? vegas doesnt think so, line opened hawks -2, now pats -1

Going with Seahawks. I'm a secondary guy, and legion of boom probably best I've seen, not only at stopping the pass but in run support too. The latter is important because Pats are good at taking what the defense gives, and in this case they give nothing obvious. Gronk is great, probably best TE I've seen, but he's one guy and legion of boom I think can at least contain him (flat out shutting down someone like Gronk too much to ask). On the other side of the ball, Wilson has just as much competitiveness in him as Brady ... he won't give in mentally. Seahawks are defending champs and the game won't be too big for them, or their coach. But that said, unlike last year it will be close ... neither of these teams gets blown out. Prediction: Seahawks 20, Pats 17 Wildcard that could turn game the other way: Lynch fumbles, his "never go down" style exposes him to fumbling, and you can bet Pats defense have been instructed to try and create some turnovers.

Brent Grimes' wife goes postal on Goodell, NFL
truth on hold replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
she rules, grimes was all over the field. performed a lot more than watt. good for her, only way you get anything in this world is by sticking up for yourself. -
If it turns out Brady was lying and instructing the attendant to deflate the balls without bellichiks knowledge, IMO this will be bradys last game in a pats un Pats have to look like theyre taking the high road. Belli has already separated himself from Brady on this. They know bradys clock is ticking and they drafted garafalo for a reason. At most it costs them one season....its a worthwhile trade off
-
If there's cause to believe BB or TB were complicit they drag it out and don't announce anything. Then after some time has passed tbeyll announce the findings were inconclusive, but the pats practices in handling the balls were found not to follow league procedures or something and dole out a token fine. Then theyll release a statement stating more clearly the ball handling procedure to be followed going forward. Easy call here

No pal wake up. Hawks drafted Aaron curry in in first round of year when vikes drafted harvin. Via draft/trade hawks used 2 firsts and got 2 players...curry and harvin. Bills used 2 firsts and got 1 player .... Watkins. The "nets" are not the same....except in the minds of the weird, wacky, watkins-trade apologists where as we've seen anything goes
-
Yeap.I got it already. In the wacky world of the watkins trade apologists, its not too early to use ebrons rookie #'s to label him a bust, but it is too soon .... several years too soon ....to use ODBs superior #'s in support of him being better than Watkins. Okey doke, no need for you to keep posting. Heard that nonsense too much already
-
Since we would have used only one pick on ebron (if in fact we even drafted him) its not even clear that would have been the worse alternative. If ebron develops into a good TE he'll likely be every bit as valuable a player as Watkins but cost a lot less in draft picks. So they're even wrong on this comparison. (Cue up the cheerleaders who say its too early to judge Watkins, but who've already written ebron off)

And let's face it, the "winning record" tagline is a joke, pats gave us that last game. And the 2 game improvement from last year was the result of an even better defense. Offense sucked it

Narrow goal posts at the Pro Bowl

Then just make a TD worth 7 and spare the us the anti-climaxtic PAT. If teams go for 2 and don't make it then deduct a point -
Narrow goal posts at the Pro Bowl
truth on hold replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i think theyre fine the way they are .... what needs to change is the extra point. give them something to think about when deciding to go for 1 or 2 .... push it back to whatever the distance it takes to change the calculation .... guessing between 30 to 35 yards. extra point has no drama -
agree people should be delighted if watkins elevates his game to moulds level, and starts winning some jump ball contests for a change.
-
agree odb is just in a totally different category. he has a chance to be on the short list of best ever with names like moss and rice. watkins ceiling is to be about as good as moulds
