  1. actually his pregame warmup is a lot more impressive
  2. Silva at his prime I still think was best ever, although Jones may surpass him. But age and attitude have caught up with him. The first loss to Weidman was embarressing, the 2nd was horrific. IMO he doesn't have many fights left him. Unlike boxing where former champs can hang around as tin cans for years, when mma guys lose it the sport is too brutal for them to hang around (e.g. chuck liddell)
  3. not surprised he makes his prediction based on the back Lynch being the x-factor!
  4. Earl Thomas -100% and drug free! http://sports.yahoo.com/news/even-a-surprise-hgh-test-can-be-used-as-fuel-of-perceived-disrespect-for-earl-thomas-and-seahawks-235709051-nfl.html
  5. "home town discount" is a thing of the past. counter-intuitively big money has made it that way. years ago the difference between highest bidder vs 2nd or 3rd may have been around a few $100K, now it can be well north of $1 million .... just too much to leave on the table. IMO Hughes is not versatile enough to drop back in coverage and play LB. he's a good edge rusher in 4-3 when he can play off the other guys. I could be wrong about this, but if Im not they shouldnt over pay for this guy and let him go if someone is bidding more. When players are showing no loyalty to teams (and with the dollars at stake i can see why), teams need to do the same to protect themselves. cheaters as they may be, but the best franchise for the last 15 years gets this
  6. funny you mention jefferson, he said the constitution should be rewritten every 20 years so as not to burden future generations with archaic laws. you can bet that gun laws when rifles took a minute to reload and were only accurate to about 75 yards, versus assault weapons that can fire 800 rounds/minute with a range up to 600 yards, would prompt a revisit of the 2nd amendment. you idiot, wtf is wrong with you?!!?!!
  7. Makes no sense assuming people wont use the most efficient means available, nor that the means dont enable crimes. Just a convenient hypothetical to justify the irresponsible possession of incredibly destructive weapons that have no place in our society.
  8. lol @ "founding fathers" ... it was an amendment. And even if it not so, what would they have said if theyd known weapons capable of such massive destruction would become available to the public?
  9. I'm sure his coaches and team mates just love hearing how he may bag it at the last minute
  10. how cool would it be if he got strip sack that sealed the victory
  11. Jesse Ventura, former Seal, not a fan of the man or the movie. To be a hero, you must have honor Jesse Ventura on American Sniper...:
  12. doing some more research on Ebron, Id definitely trade him for Watkins and our 2015 1st and 4th back. He was doing things in college that Chandler clearly cannot. The leaping ability and one-handed catches speak for themselves, but I also note he's more physical and can hold his ground, unlike Chandler who plays too light and easily pushed around. He'd be an instant upgrade at the position and really help us move the chains and give us the desperately needed red zone boost. Lions was a tough rotation to break into with Mega, Tate @ WR, and Pettigrew and Fauria @ TE. But that said he still managed to be the leading TE on the team, and his #'s weren't far off from Tony Gonzalez rookie season. Ebron + (for example) one of the top 15' WRs like Cooper, White or Parker beats Watkins + Chandler IMO .... and we get a 4th that could have value too
  13. Their combine 40 times were the same. ODB isn't better because of a straight ahead speed advantage, he's better due to: - hands - route running - yac - versatility - coming out of breaks - not giving up on plays - elusiveness - vertical - body control - doesn't shy away from contact - draws more attention away from the defense
  14. What was the PSI rule before they let teams manage their own balls? If it was higher than the prescribed minimum of 12.5, the drop off in fumbles could be explained by Brady specifying the lower parameter. Some QBs like rodgers we learned specify the high point of the range, which I think is 14. That 1.5 differential is what they're claiming pats deflated the balls by
  15. Well seeing he just came from seahawks you can blame it on their mentality if you want. But reality if a guys injured opponents are going to test the injury. Thats one reason I give Bellichick a pass on playing games with the injury report .... why give an accurate description of injuries when you know its just a road map for other teams to exploit?
  16. No I know that Beckham is better and its not only about numbers. Hes simply doing things on the field that Watkins isn't. Ebron over chandler any day. The bogus "duality" as I've pointed out is people saying you cant make a call on ODB vs Watkins after a year, yet already labelling ebron a bust after a year
  17. Yeah I'd rather build thru the draft if possible. High priced FAs are cap busters and come with a lot of risk. If Thomas becomes available how much you think it would cost us? Right now I think ebron is better than any TE on our roster, and I'm finding it painful not having a first this year.
  18. Its because you don't take the time to read posts and you're a little slow anyway (pretty much applies to all the watkins-trade apologists). That observation was made in response to people saying there's no QB wed want at 19 anyway in an attempt to devalue the foregone pick. Perhaps, however not having a first does preclude us from being able to trade up higher to where better QBs may be had.
  19. Uhhh yeah qb, thats why I mentioned those QB names in my post. Probably won't be able to get them at 19, however may have had a chance to use our 19th pick along with other picks to trade up and get one ....something eagles who draft behind us are already working on
  20. Never said to draft totally based on need. But if you're saying you dont think "need" shouldnt factor in, man you totally put your foot in your mouth again, defending the use of 2 firsts and a 4th on a perceived need at WR
  21. No its not. You stated earlier theres no one in round 1 we would have wanted at 19 anyway. You never considered the possibility of trading the foregone pick to move up.
  22. With how needy we are at TE, I'd seriously consider Ebron + our 2015 1st and 4th back to Watkins. And even having any debate regarding ODB + 2015 1st and 4th as preferable to Watkins is silly, when clearly ODB alone is superior to watkins.
  23. its widely known cowboys sent a spy to watch bills super bowl practices. and thats where they picked up on the shuffle pass and lett causing crucial thurman fumble. how come thats not talked about too? its just as bad - if not worse - than spygate
  24. lol you nailed it, very articulate. but in all honesty, i am kinda sorry (probably only one here). i was really looking forward to this contest, and oh yes seahawks putting a hurtin' on them (although I think it will be a real close one). and all this deflategate stuff really took away from the runup to the game so far.... wanted to hear some quality in depth analysis, instead every analyst is talking about ball handling procedure. also dont think players should have to answer questions like "are you a cheater"
