  1. It was an entertaining show, the props and outfits, and KP is very relatable/engaging with the audience. But yeah the music on its own is forgettable, but the show isn't really about the music.
  2. Funny thing looking at the replay even if he catches it still dont think he scores.bevell was right he should have been more aggressive thru the ball, but was bevell wise to call a play to a rookie with super bowl on the line?
  3. didnt say some of them werent pre-existing .... and question remains: can you name another super bowl team where 4 starters in the secondary required surgery after the game? Or for that matter, any team where 4 starters in the secondary required surgery at end of season?
  4. BB did the right thing, and I dont think it was intended to psyche out carroll ... no matter what there wasnt going to be enough time for pats offense. game was on the line there one way or the other with that goal line stand
  5. i think it was edelman. i was yelling at the TV for Lane to just go down, nothing good was going to come of running around down there after the INT when there was no where to go. sure enough ... point was in the OP ... read it. can you name another super bowl team where 4 starters in the secondary required surgery after the game?
  6. Great secondary but this was always the risk given how hard they hit, and how much theyre asked to do in that scheme: Sherman - ulnar nerve damage, will need Tommy John surgery Lane - compound fracture, both wrists broken Chancellor - may require surgery on knee injured in practice Thomas - getting 2nd opinion, expectation will need surgery http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000467799/article/sherman-to-have-surgery-thomas-getting-2nd-opinion
  7. Truth be told Bevelle called a nice game until that point ...got the most out of their talent and kept pats honest with well timed deep balls
  8. Early injury to lane too. I was yelling at the TV for him to just go down. There was no where to go and nothing good was going to come of it running around down there. Sure enough he breaks a wrist and he's out. Pata kept picking on middle field after that.
  9. I get what Carroll's saying with that BUT that pass? Why not play action, roll Wilson out right ... throw to WR or TE if open in corner, otherwise throw it away .... problem with slant you can't throw it away, too much traffic. And the guy theyre throwing it to is a rookie with 11 catches and 195 yards on the season!
  10. He's not the only one. http://nypost.com/2015/02/01/pete-carroll-threw-away-super-bowl-with-one-stupid-decision/
  11. Wouldnt be so quick to write post-brady new England off. Gronk will still be around and garoppolo is being brought along the right way. This could be another favre to Rodgers kind of situation.
  12. Right now I think the pats love this guy
  13. A lot of OCs have a tendency to get too cute down in the red zone. Its like they cook up some play all week and then get fixated on running it, no matter what the circumstances dictate. Remember when I think it was mularkey had Travis henry throwing a pass that got picked off? I think schottenheimer when he was with jets did the same kind of play that backfired and cost a playoff game
  14. Its about matchups. Its true Brady doesnt like pressure. But last year that same secondary totally shut down manning, who does a lot better than Brady when pressured
  15. Was nervous as soon as I saw them run it. Wasnt totally surprised with the outcome. 2x beast or sneak Wilson. At most roll Wilson out on olay action, and only throw if TE or WR is wide open on blown coverage. If they get to 4th thats when they can try last play Who made the call: Carroll? OC? Wilson audible?
  16. I don't think officiating determined outcome.
  17. Wonder if seahawks put norwood on inactive out of superstition
  18. Sherman with the dreds, helmet, lanky body and overall way he moves reminds me of the alien in Predator. I wonder if his kid will resemble baby predator
  19. If he plays well today (even in a loss) and barring injury, he's going to make a fortune. He and his agent really know how to work the system.
  20. re: chipping yips. Is this really awful and the biggest threat to his career yet, or are we just too focused on him and most pros go thru rough spots like this? When I saw the vids from friday my initial thought was the former, but I think there are more informed / active golfers like yourself. I don't recall other top guys looking like a 25 handicap like that. But I don't play or watch much. It was just all too familiar to the hacks I go out with (myself included) a few times a year
