  1. Pats got the drill right. Bring in "troubled" players at a discount to what they're worth sans the history. If they act up cut your losses and dump them asap. Some will work out, some won't .... But the ones that do (e.g. moss) will more than make up for the minimal cost of getting rid of those that dont (e.g. haynesworth)
  2. Gabbert is better than McCoy because he has the better arm. But neither one is likely to get you anywhere. Can't possibly see why ej sits in favor of them...or a whole list of other names being bandied about for that matter
  3. and yet the team's QB put his own neck on the line and stuck up for Incognito "I think if you would have asked Jon Martin [before he left Miami] who his best friend on the team was, he would've said Richie Incognito," Tannehill said. "The first guy to stand for Jonathan when anything went down on the field -- any kind of tussle -- Richie was the first guy there. When they wanted to hang out outside of football -- who was together? Richie and Jonathan." http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/24196050/ryan-tannehill-jonathan-martin-was-like-incognitos-little-brother
  4. yeah really, to pin the loss on him is ridiculous. idk the odds, but making a 47 yarder outdoors on grass, is certainly no gimme. he made a solid kick, no shank or nerves of any kind evident in the attempt. when you lose by a point nearly every single play in the game comes into question as the game winner or loser.
  5. Just teams dispersing bad info to try and get other teans to take Bradford and give them a shot at Winston or mariotta.
  6. Hardy's a beast who brings his own game. He can dominate an LT. Hughes had to feed off the work of others
  7. Nice, probably just added 25 yards/game to our rush attack .
  8. Agree his over training was likely a major factor in his decline. Body can only take so much. I read before rounds of tournament golf he'd jog 5 miles. Ridiculous
  9. After a game and on the road these guys are any port in the storm. I think that mentality makes them wreckless and explains why so many have kids out of wedlock
  10. IMO Marino had better talent to work with on offense than Kelly. They invested a lot in Miami line to protect him, which always gave them a run game. His WRs throughout the years were top notch too. Kelly's WRs were vastly over rated -- other than Reed excelling in the slot, Lofton was at the end of his career, Beebe was another Marquis Goodwin, Bucky Brooks? please. The one thing he had was Thurman coming out of the backfield, but that didn't help him get the ball deep. Over the balance of his career Kelly was working with a less than stellar WR corp, and not on par with Clayton, Duper, McDuffie, etc etc
  11. If he has a good combine titans grab him at 2
  12. Mummified Buddhist monk 'still alive after 200 years and is nearly a Buddha' A 200-year-old Buddhist monk found mummified in Mongolia "is still alive" and nearing a state of Nirvana, it has been claimed. According to an expert on Buddhism, the lotus position in which the body was found indicates the mummy is still in a heightened spiritual meditation called "tukdam". That is very close to Nirvana, which according to Buddhist beliefs, is the highest possible state achievable when the physical body dissolves. Profesor Ganhugiyn Purevbata of Ulaanbaatar Buddhist University in Mongolia, has advanced the incredible theory the mummified monk is still alive - despite it looking very dead after two centuries spent wrapped in an animal hide. https://sg.news.yahoo.com/mummified-buddhist-monk-still-alive-200-years-nearly-110413532.html
  13. I think all these suspended guys should start their own league. Probably field a better team than some NFL squads
  14. People are over weighting comebacks. How about the better QB makes it a blowout by clicking early and often? People dismiss 9ers blowout wins on Montana's record as if he had nothing to do with the score. Every single pats SB .... win or lose .... had been close. How about holding it against Brady he never engineered a blowout ?
  15. wow, im sure this info was leaked and accounted for the 7-figure one-sided bets that went on pats late .... voiced my suspicion about this on the board
  16. Big difference between bringing a guy in for a workout and signing him. I'd been wanting him all season because we needed huge help at the position and I think he got a raw deal in Miami. But IMO bills won't sign him under Rex because they know he let's the guys be themselves, and won't want to take the risk he causes early distractions. They will get at least one FA guard, just not this one
  17. Kelly -- endured a lot more, shown a lot more class and true leadership than that jackass Brady
  18. Not a gimme. Pass was the right call just not inside slant, especially to a rookie who hadn't done much that year. My best guess is that when PC called for a pass he didn't mean that pattern. But it was too late to change it
  19. I dont think small QBs are good on sneaks. They get jammed by the Center. The tall ones like Brady and flacco can just lean forward
  20. i like pegulas but jeter would have been awfully cool IF he kept them in WNY
  21. do they ever announce test outcomes before fights? his err apparent john jones positive test for crack was announced after his last fight. id hate to find out i lost to someone who was juiced on something.
  22. I think you may be right about having the defense already, we had more sacks each of the last 2 years than giants had when they took a pair of bowls off them. Especially now with Ryan as HC. His ability to adjust and use multiple fronts during the game, counters pats versatile offense. BUT we need an offense that can move the chains and keep the defense off the field. People remember the pass plays giants hit on when they beat them in super bowls, but for the most part they were a run-first power running team with Jacobs and Bradshaw running behind a stacked oline. Also got solid play out of their TE's. This makes me feel that much better about Rex because in addition to defense, his teams had better olines and a greater focus on getting a top TE than us. We already have the backs, just hard for them to do much when the guards aren't getting any push up the middle. Roman emphasizes TE a lot more than Hackett did too. And we need one too because Chandler just doesnt play physical enough. Watkins/Woods/Hogan may not be the best trio in the league, but they're good enough if used smartly in a predominantly run-first power running offense. Best case we can replicate an offense like Giants had under Gilbride
