  1. Peyton Manning tells Broncos he's 'physically and mentally' ready to return Whether Peyton Manning will be the Denver Broncos' quarterback in 2015 is now up to Broncos general manager John Elway. The Broncos quarterback met with Elway on Thursday and told Elway and other Broncos officials that he is "physically and mentally prepared" to play in 2015, a person informed of the meeting told USA TODAY Sports. http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/broncos/2015/02/13/peyton-manning-healthy-return-2015-season-john-elway/23381249/
  2. Well certainly the league would salivate over being able sell manning and Brady in the same division, but still its clear to me at least that the alernatives are either retire or play for Denver.
  3. Heres a novel idea: US stops destablizing countries in other parts of the world like Ukraine wherein we supported the ouster of a democratically elected leader, and we stop going against our own intellgiance who say Iran has no current agenda to build a bomb, and if they did would take years ...way more than enough time for us to intervene under the most heavily monitored nuclear program in the world, no matter the deal. And overall commits to a foreign policy thats in the best interests of American people, rather than special interest "elites" in Washington and their overseas influence peddlers
  4. he may retire, but if he doesnt almost certainly will be playing in Denver Peyton Manning meets with Broncos, still undecided The Broncos quarterback flew to Denver to meet with the team's brass -- general manager John Elway and president/CEO Joe Ellis -- on Thursday to discuss his future, but no decision came out of the meeting, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported, per a team source. Manning returned to New Orleans to continue training, presumably with an eye toward the 2015 season. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000470352/article/peyton-manning-meets-with-broncos-still-undecided
  5. so it sounds like we should have kept Stevie and applied the 3 picks we used to get Watkins (including a pair of firsts) somewhere else
  6. He's not getting franchised , that'd be over paying. Rex comments were telling when asked, basically said who wouldn't want to play alongside dareus, kyle and Mario. Imo sent the message that plenty of guys could get 10 sacks with this unit, so dont think we're keen on keeping you at all costs
  7. Was looking at his all purpose yards which were over 1,000/year. If he reaches Megatron level it wasn't a bad trade IMO. Julio Jones is a better comparison as there was an actual trade there and IMO he's better than mega because he's more explosive. I said from the start that was a good trade, and Im even more convinced today. Have my doubts Sammy ever attains that level...love to be proven wrong
  8. A bust to me is someone drafted high who didn't make it in the league ...leaf, Russell, maybin, etc.... those kind of guys. Its unlikely Sammy joins that list. However it may have been a bad trade which is a matter of value. E.g. Hershel walker was productive for Vikings, but they gave Dallas way too much to get him.
  9. Theyre smart business people who know how to score a deal. They know that a lot of people are unfairly demonized. And that reward of giving a talented player a second chance, greatly outweighs the risk
  10. sounds like some of you can't wait for more US lives and dollars to be lost for this pathological liar
  11. Beckham vs best DB in the league Richard Sherman 7 receptions for 108 yards http://youtu.be/luXHTSaVHC8 Sherman after the game: "Beckham is a great player," http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000426179/article/richard-sherman-odell-beckham-jr-is-a-great-player
  12. give it a rest, the guy's on the team. if it works out it's a major upgrade at a position of need at a bargain price, if not he has a short leash. he's had some issues for sure, but that also made him an easy scapegoat for martin's breakdown. team mates including QB tannehill came out in support of RI saying he was trying to be his buddy, and martin even exchanged the same kind of texts that RI was villified for.
  13. Tiger Woods takes indefinite leave from golf The soap opera that has become Tiger Woods' life took another shadowy turn Wednesday when he announced he was taking an indefinite leave of absence from competitive golf to work on his floundering game. http://www.tampabay.com/sports/golf/tiger-woods-takes-indefinite-leave-from-golf/2217376
  14. i think it's because of his contract, a number of guys also stood up for him
  15. probably no place on this team, but still the guy can play
  16. also the league's "guilty until proven innocent" policy incentivizes players to somehow settle early and get it behind them no matter what. careers are short-lived, even if innocent they dont have the luxury of battling it out in court for years.
  17. assuming he paid her something (although we have no idea how much or little or what terms were attached), how credible is the accuser if she can be bought?
  18. theyre preparing to franchise DT, welker is gone, they'll have all the tools they need for manning. IMO there's no way if he plays he goes anywhere else ... starting over again at his age isnt feasible. "Appearing on Tuesday's edition of NFL Total Access, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported the Broncos are set to wield the franchise tag, if necessary, to keep their ultra-talented No. 1 receiver. If general manager John Elway manages to keep the Thomas duo in Denver, the most likely scenario is via a long-term deal for Julius and the tag for Demaryius. Under that scenario, Emmanuel Sanders can move to the slot with 2014 second-round draft pickCody Latimer entering the lineup on the outside. That proposed lineup would solidify Manning's offense as one of the NFL's most prolific provided the savvy veteran's body cooperates for a 16-game season." http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000469882/article/demaryius-thomas-broncos-headed-for-franchise-tag
  19. The Carolina hood is a lot rougher than buffalo
  20. well it would be nice if the pious-one accepted a salary cut to come back and help his team retain their FAs. no matter what, hes not playing like a $20million man
  21. we'll see, but I cant imagine blowing a team up that just finished 2nd overall in the conference. its just a simple matter of cap constraints they may not be able to sign all their high profile FAs. Dallas is saying the same thing and no one is accusing them blowing it up. no matter what they do, denver will still have a lot of high profile guys on both sides of the ball.
  22. latest addition, this song rules
  23. Article sounds like a "journalist" trying to generate some attention. Broncos are in win-now mode, which clearly means getting manning back. Kubiak didn't go there to coach a backup.
  24. We dont know what payoff she got. Could just as easily be her realising that upon her lawyers advice that the case wont hold up against the much greater scrutiny of a criminal trial, versus the peoples court civil one. what we do know is that they settled civil out of court, it was handled by lawyers on both sides, both civil and criminal matters are resolved, criminal case has been dismissed. he's been out of football nearly a year. Its time to reinstate the guy.
  25. Who knows? Who's to say any bill on the current roster wont do something objectionable? Up until their incidents both ray rice and Adrian Peterson were thought of as good guys. And if anyone on the roster does something objectionabke? League will fine and suspend, and bills can waive. But the cost is likely much less with "damaged goods" player.
