  1. I hear what youre saying and normally I'd agree owing to bad luck, but in this case did he have injuries coming out Texans should have known or was he hiding something? Remember after the draft they announced some kind of hernia surgery. The play that he injured the knee on in NFL sure looked innocent too. In any case shame if he can't make it back. Was really looking forward to seeing him. Heck of an athlete, his 40 at the combine was breathtaking. Jadeveon Clowney 40 yard dash - 2014 Combine:
  2. 28 state legislators have stepped down in 15 years. Damn that's worse than Washington
  3. Wouldnt his existing contract be more than they'd have to pay Murray to keep him?
  4. Spikes isn't versatile enough for Rex's system. No surprise he won't be here. Searcy I am surprised because he is versatile and Rex .... like all good modern DCs .... appreciates value of a top notch secondary.
  5. CJ is a lot older and had more serious injuries. will likely cost a lot more too. there's no denying TR's college highlights were sensational ... reminds me of emmitt smith i think transitioning from college to pros requires a lot of learning at most positions. here's what another NFL back had to say "I mean, he's still a young buck, man. He's still young," Blount said. "I feel like he's a real good running back ... but I feel like when I watch him play, I just think he has to be a little bit more decisive. He's a bigger kid than what most people think, and he's strong: look at his legs, you know what I'm saying? Just look at how he's built. As long as he just find that little crease and know that this is not Alabama, and you don't have the big, open holes like you had at Alabama, and you find those little creases, and you get downhill, and get into 'em, he'll be a problem on the second and third level for a lot of teams." http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000469700/article/legarrette-blount-trent-richardson-can-succeed-in-nfl
  6. If he's not contributing W's why are we having this discussion at all? The best case that can be made is he contributed one win versus career backups and guys walking in off the Street, because the most wins he got in a season was 7, and last year they had 6 without him. But even that's being way too generous because its certainly within a margin of error. Bottom line: for all the hype and cost, this guy is no better than a journeyman. And that's when he's even able to stay on the field and is not just standing on the sidelines chewing up cap space
  7. Youd certainly be swallowing a lot with this guy: - at least some draft picks and a cap eating $13 million remaining from a rookie contract so egregious it ushered in a whole new rookie pay scale - career "winning percentage" of 38% - 3 time suffered devastating season ending injury - throwing shoulder in college, pair of ACLs on pros - and an attitude that wants to explore a trade against a team that's endured all that and even let hin pick the OC next year WOW just WOW is all that can be said about wanting this guy
  8. Wow what a slang for penis. After being overpaid for years and the team even giving him a say in the coaching staff for next year http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/02/15/fisher-says-sam-bradford-had-a-say-in-rams-staff-changes/
  9. The caller, most likely the bottom one given its a symbol of the south's racist past
  10. Me too, but if its correctable as blount says he's an upgrade over boobie. And who knows maybe the inevitable replacement we'll need for Freddie given his age
  11. This is one photo that really needs no caption
  12. Call me crazy (espexially since I thought the trade was a joke from the start), but bills should take a look at this guy. Blount had something interesting positive comments about him, basically that he has all the physical tools to be a success just needs to hit the small holes that open more decisvely and stop waiting for the large ones the bama line opened for him in college. With his history gotta believe league minimum with no guarantee gets him here
  13. Actually it supports racism contributed to the 911. "Peering towards" is hardly "looking in". Guys walking on the sidewalk .... he's supposed to keep his eyes fixed dead straight ahead at all time? Also the description : "He's a skinny black guy. He's got a toboggan on," said the caller, who isn't identified. _____ What the heck is the "toboggan" reference?
  14. Kelly was vastly under-rated IMO, even most Bills fans didn't realize how good he was. - strong arm: could make all the throws - accurate: didn't miss many throws or open guys - mobile: could roll out and scramble to avoid sacks - smart: called his own plays and ran the no-huddle - leader: guys play hard for him - winner: he put the onus on the franchise to invest in the talent to build a winner - resourceful: this will be controversial to some, but I dont think the talent around him was as great as people think. reed was great in the slot, but he wasn't a true deep threat -- most big plays were YAC. never really had a long term deep threat as lofton was near the end, and beebe was a poor man's goodwin. thurman was versatile, but it took kelly to maximize it. line was better run blocking than pass blocking. sans the line, i think the offensive personel in WRs and RBs as a group were better in 2014 than what he had to work with note how many different targets he utilized
  15. Isn't there a cap hit for Williams?
  16. Even when we were out in week 17 that bozo marrone started orton
  17. ruh oh .... CNN Poll: Majority of Americans Oppose Boehner’s Netanyahu Invite The CNN/ORC poll shows that 63 percent of Americans side with President Obama, and believe that Boehner should not have invited Netanyahu without first informing the president. Only 33 percent said it was a good move. Republicans are also split on the issue, with 52 percent approving of the invitation. http://www.mediaite.com/online/cnn-poll-majority-of-americans-oppose-boehners-netanyahu-invite/
  18. How do we know EJ was never the same after that? He was benched after that game. And actually during the game be remained competitive and we had a chance to win at the end
  19. Idk about 50 points but I think he's right about it being better. 90s team gave up a lot of runs up the middle. And the secondary was small and couldn't handle big WRs like Irvin. Overall it was too easy to pick on Bruce with multiple sweeps to his side because there was no one else you really had go game plan for. Contrast that to current squad thats stout up the middle and can bring pressure from many angles, as evidenced by single season sack record.
  20. We can use "redskins" .... Washington no longer has an enforceable trademark on it
  21. More goes into evaluating a QB than just comp% over 3 games. One of those completions was a roll out right and hit a deep one in Q4 in a win against bills, a top rated defense. And btw the thread asks for "perception"
  22. Carr - decisive leader, made the best of what he had to work with in Oakland, student of the game, got better as year went on, strong arm and can throw on the run EJ
