  1. IMO Apple = best hardware Google Nexus = best value Best OS = seems a matter of preference, if someone is already on Apple platform I would think just stick with it. For someone's who's platform agnostic, I'd give slight edge to Android as it's simpler looking, and more familiar to traditional PC users .... .... which brings up another point. Windows phones won't look familiar to pre-Windows 8 PC users, however if someone wants to be considered a "rebel", a Windows phone is the way to go (surprising as that sounds about a MS product)
  2. Former US Marine: "We created the mess"
  3. by the way, accusers getting paid in civil court and charges end up being dropped happens all the time ... nothing new here agree, Hughes is not a special player, what happened in Buffalo has gone to his head. But Hardy does have the potential to be a special player
  4. A sobering analysis of this trade from Adam Schein Bottom line: may look like a potential "win-win" for both teams, but longer term Eagles are the likely winner. Also the team to watch in FA is the Eagles, by unloading McCoy and Trent Cole, their cap space is up to a whoppping $48 million http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000476652/article/lesean-mccoy-for-kiko-alonso-bills-eagles-both-win-for-now
  5. what other instances have there been where the NFL assumed tampering and suspended a player? is there precedent here?
  6. and you really think if he accounted for the difference on his own the Pats wouldnt have kept him? lol ... ok
  7. actually it was. he had a great burst off the snap, and kept it going throughout the whole play. he lost the burst and the stamina, also plays too high now, doesn't get leverage ... maybe someone like raiders give him a 1yr deal. no matter, he's out of the league in a year IMO. Id much rather have Alan Branch back if we're talking Pats DTs
  8. He'll be 34 next year, he's fat, and he had an injury that many never fully recover from. Hasn't had a sack in 2 years. If he continues to play I just hope it's not here. All I kept seeing last year was s guy getting escorted out of the play by a guard or center. Back in the day yes he was one of the best ever at his position. But that day is long since past.
  9. This is s very cool idea. When they get it working could really turn into the preferred way of watching sports at home "Oculus Rift is Facebooks virtual reality headset, and it could make them huge profits by changing the way we consume sports in the future. Much of the excitement about Oculus Rift, which Facebook acquired for $2 billion last March, was about its role in the video gaming world. Many saw Oculus Rift revolutionizing gaming by creating far more immersive e-worlds than ever before. However, now, Oculus Rift and other virtual reality vendors are rumored to be looking to use this technology to produce an infinite amount of courtside seats that it could sell to sports fans." Oculus could allow fans to watch NBA and NHL games from virtual courtside and rinkside seats, Piper Jaffrays Analyst, Gene Munster, wrote in a note to investors. http://www.sporttechie.com/2015/03/01/excitement-grows-oculus-rift-rumored-show-nba-nhl-games-virtual-reality/
  10. he was so bad last year, they really won in spite of him
  11. takes over a 4 & 12 team, and gets them to 10 & 6 and a playoff berth his first year. And follows it with another 10 & 6 record while losing his starting QB halfway thru. I wish we had some "poor coaching" like that
  12. my best guess no. i think theyre shying away because rex doesn't want to bring the baggage. i think tuel gets released and they draft a project late for the 3rd QB
  13. cassell isn't bad, but sanchez and not having to give up picks is clearly better
  14. someone said only $1mm is guaranteed, as if we can restructure the rest. thats what i was replying to
  15. What if he refuses to restructure because he doesn't want to play here and/or thinks he can get more as an UFA? That would be the most ridiculous trade ever we lose kiko for nothing. I'm sure his agent is smart enough to realise the leverage this gives them
  16. if Murray signs somewhere else for something similar or less than what we're paying mccoy Im going to be awfully po'd
  17. and gave up Kiko, who if he stays healthy is a heck of an LB. just like with watkins, you keep forgetting the opportunity cost also murray's last 4 years starting in 2010 played 13, 10, 14, 16 games respectively. his time lost due to injury is wildly exaggerated
  18. What about Murray? I like his game a lot. I'd put him and marshawn as top 2 backs. Dallas only offered $16mm gauranteed, which is less than what we're paying mccoy
  19. refreshing that US politicians are stepping forward and telling it like it is with that creep: What you were witnessing today was a very old concept: if you can make the people afraid, you can make them do anything, said Rep. Jim McDermott (D-Wash.). And thats what prime minister Netanyahu was doing. He was trying to make people afraid and somehow saying that the president wasnt doing his job. This speech was straight out of the Dick Cheney playbook, said Rep. John Yarmuth, a Kentucky Democrat. The Jewish lawmaker added: I resented the condescending tone that he used, which basically indicated that he didnt think anybody in Congress or the country understood the threat that a nuclear, weaponized Iran poses to his country, to the region and to the world. (Senate Minority Whip) Durbin, who disagreed with Netanyahus characterization of the negotiations, said he reached out to the Senate historian to see if there was any precedent to the approximately 60 Democratic members skipping the speech. He said there was not. Its the first time in history that so many members of Congress have stepped forward to say that they would not attend a joint session. So thats never happened before. It was much more partisan and political than it ever should have been, Durbin said. Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), who was visibly agitated during the speech. She said afterward that she was near tears, saddened by the insult to the intelligence of the United States and the condescension toward our knowledge of the threat posed by Iran. He seemed to say that there was no way [to] ever trust Iran. Which says to me you cant have a deal with Iran. And then he said, Well, why dont you work for a better deal? So it was confusing, said Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.). I think he had circular reasoning. Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) said he was concerned that many who heard the address would assume the United States had already agreed to the terms Netanyahu criticized, when in fact the provisions are still under negotiation. I thought it was a stick in the eye of the president. I really worry about the consequences of some of the rhetoric he used, Murphy said. If I had faith that every member of the House Republican Caucus was going to sit down and read the deal and look upon it without Obama-colored glasses, I wouldnt be as worried. 20. it's certainly my view a lot of NFL backs are capable of running well behind that line. As luck would have it, we have a good comparison with Bryce Brown. In Buffalo he didnt look anything like the back he was in Philly
  21. Looking at his highlights is for the most part really looking at highlights for an offensive line. Look how the guards are opening holes in the middle and creating wide running lanes, tackles are controlling the ends allowing backs to get outside, and they're getting out to the second level for screens. The difference from our line is night and day. Our backs would have been a heck of a lot better running behind that Philly line
  22. Results from University of Maryland survey released today: Majority of Americans Favor Deal with Iran allowing Limited Enrichment While majorities found arguments for both options at least somewhat convincing, when asked to make their final recommendation, a clear majority of 61% recommended making a deal with Iran that would include a limited enrichment capacity for Iran. This included 61% of Republicans, 66% of Democrats and 54% of independents. The alternative of increasing sanctions in an effort to get Iran to stop all uranium enrichment was endorsed by 36%. http://public-consultation.org/studies/Iran_030315.pdf
  23. Well the Amherst guy Gronk has no problem sticking it to Bills every year, and Daryl Johnston of Youngstown was on a cowboys teams that took two Super Bowls from us. I think this is where Rex's style will be good at smoothing things over
  24. No I'm saying the opposite. Thinking we can meddle around in the affairs of others without getting dragged in deeper is naive
