  1. if they end up with murray + kiko for the same price we have mccoy that was an awful trade for us
  2. There was something very brady-ish about him, making him easy to dislike
  3. the rest of the video was good, but the sumo part was silly
  4. I take it this thread is an attempt to justify the trade for Watkins. That the bottom half of round 1 lacks talent. But the trade supporters keep saying how many games he won for us. So without him wed be drafting higher anyway where the OP puts forth legit 1st round talent will be available
  5. the list of actors desperate to undermine a deal reads like a villian's who's who list: senators in bed with defense lobby, netanyahu, oppressive saudi wahabi extremists
  6. That we recognise early we won't be able to afford re-signing dareus so we can get a head start on finding his replacement
  7. Chan got his genius to run the ooohhh so complicated bubble screen ...lol
  8. Didn't Watkins win something like 8 of the 9 games for us, so we'd be drafting #1 overall anyway?
  9. As always, follow the money trail .... IMMEDIATELY AFTER LAUNCHING EFFORT TO SCUTTLE IRAN DEAL, SENATOR TOM COTTON TO MEET WITH DEFENSE CONTRACTORS In an open letter organized by freshman Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., 47 Senate Republicans today warned the leaders of Iran that any nuclear deal reached with President Barack Obama could expire as soon as he leaves office. Tomorrow, 24 hours later, Cotton will appear at an “Off the Record and strictly Non-Attribution” event with the National Defense Industrial Association, a lobbying and professional group for defense contractors. The NDIA is composed of executives from major military businesses such as Northrop Grumman, L-3 Communications, ManTech International, Boeing, Oshkosh Defense and Booz Allen Hamilton, among other firms. Cotton strongly advocates higher defense spending and a more aggressive foreign policy. As The New Republic’s David Ramsey noted, “Pick a topic — Syria, Iran, Russia, ISIS, drones, NSA snooping — and Cotton can be found at the hawkish outer edge of the debate…During his senate campaign, he told a tele-townhall that ISIS and Mexican drug cartels joining forces to attack Arkansas was an ‘urgent problem.'” https://firstlook.org/theintercept/2015/03/09/upon-launching-effort-scuttle-iran-deal-senator-tom-cotton-meets-defense-contractors/
  10. I like him. Can add spark in return, run and receiving. And with our offense we sure need it. What problems did he cause in jets locker room? That stuff if over blown. At the right price get er done
  11. 1. bradford generated a lot of buzz when rumors started he might be available, foles was rumored to be trade bait too but didnt generate nearly the buzz. 2. Bradford is more suited to spread offense. 3. didnt say chances werent greater to finish above 500 with foles
  12. it's going to be a huge hit, another status symbol/talking piece.
  13. where/when are they going to spend all the cap space they must be freeing up? most of the coveted players are gone, and really dont think they're going after Murray. cuz right now it sure has the feel of a team in wind down mode after winning a championship
  14. IMO I think it will work out. If Bradford stays healthy he's a better QB to run Kelly's system, and he's also better trade bait to snag Mariotta, his dream QB. The risk of course is Bradford staying healthy, it's a big risk ... but if he doesn't they still have a chance to finish above .500 with Sanchez due to improvements on defense
  15. $39mm guarantee way to much for guy that turns 30 in July on a team that's realistically not a contender. But still would have liked him out of the division
  16. Joke of a deal. He held them for ransom after bounty gate, and padded his starts in contract year.
  17. well he never really liked Foles so its not totally unexpected he moved him. If he cant swing a deal for mariotta he'd rather end up with Bradford than foles
  18. Chip is going all-in on guys with multiple ACLs
  19. Kerley can play too ... overall jets are putting together a sneaky-good receiving corp
  20. Those are re-signings that players can do before FA officially starts, and I think at least flowers was motivated by threat of franchise. Also we know hughes checked around and had a good idea what he was worth elsewhere before re-signing. Its supposedly unofficial but some guys have changed already including suh, gore and maxwell. We'll see how it all really shakes out when it officially starts and the hundred+ free agents hit the market, a list that includes guys like revis (possible), Murray, orakpo, Julius Thomas, bulaga, iapati, etc etc
  21. the crusade is the wild assumption he won't come to Buffalo when there's been no mention whatsoever of it, cowboys have shown no loyalty to him, he's not stated he will give them a "hometown discount", and nearly every player these days is going to the highest bidder and doesn't care who that team is
  22. Willis and Borland are both inside. As is bowman, if he ever even makes it back after the horrific injury. Everyone is saying kiko's natural position is OLB. Which is very valuable in a league where top TEs are so hard to cover. With odds they stay 3-4 kiko would have been of interest to them
  23. You cant possibly tell me we couldn't have had Murray for this same 26.5 million guaranteed deal...10 million more than cowboys offered him. And we keep kiko ....this mccoy trade was a joke
  24. We have nothing to offer. No 1st round from Watkins trade. No kiko from McCoy trade.
