He may not be getting the top escholon athletes but at least hes not sitting on his hands. If we can sign Morris and Neal we will be in great shape for the draft. By the way has anyone heard the interview with Morris? Or an update on Neal. These are the type of players we need for depth, prime example look at the running back situation that Carolina went through and the end of the year. Morris can be a very solid addition and push Willis' lazy a--.GO BILLS/MIAMI BLOWS

Allen wouldn't be a bad decision
BUFFALOTONE replied to BUFFALOTONE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lineman are supposed to be fat genius. Who cares if the guy eats alot, hes a vet something we lack bigtime on offense, especially with EM busting out. Im not saying he is the answer. But a guy that we all know can get the job done. -

I seriously doubt we would look at him but he is still dominant. I think given the right opportunity he would be a solid addition. -
Allen does have some down side with his weight issues but the guy still has 2 good years left. With the signing of Fowler I gotta believe Duke is our guard, but why not bring Allen in to show him the ropes, and learn from probably the best offensive lineman in the 90's. Pay him for a couple of years and let Duke work in slowly. I know alot of you are not high on him but anyone that benches over 700 lbs. can be on my line any day.

If this guy can be a jason taylor type threat than I am all for signing him. Even though I despise Taylor, he does produce. We can use an outside rush guy like this. But at 263 and 6'7, there is no way he can play tackle. Sounds more like a Simeon Rice too. -
Browns Trying To Trade Faine??
BUFFALOTONE replied to gblakely14's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Easy Fella, I dont know if he would be a great addition, its hard to make blocks when your always in the training room. Center has to be the grittiest guy on the field, Fayne hasnt shown that yet. -
Browns Trying To Trade Faine??
BUFFALOTONE replied to gblakely14's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Pay attention, this guy is massively injury prone. He was a great player at ND but has done squat and cant finish a year healthy. Center is a tough position because you are in the middle of everything and your limbs take a beating, trust me i was a center in highschool and have 2 ACl surgeries to thank for that. maybe he can turn things around but i wouldnt spend more than a 4 rd pick on him. -
Cards officially match Wells offer
BUFFALOTONE replied to Dan III's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well gee I guess we didnt see that one coming huh (sarcasm). Ok lets focus our attention on Neal, we need a guard with experience and he is the way to go right now. For god sake lets put together something of a offensive line. Spend some dough and bring this guy back to OBD. We cannot count on drafting a rookie and have him starting, there is no one out there that is that complete not having the last name Ferguson. -
Reggie Wells - OL - tendered offer sheet
BUFFALOTONE replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you dont think that Wells is already gone, your either stupid or unrealistic. He has already sad he does not want to uproot his family and move to another coast. And now with the signing of Edge they definitely want to keep a young proven guy who knows the system. Buffalo had to offer something more than it did, all be it they did make him a nice offer. And it comes from where the player was originally drafted. We need to focus on a guy like Neal who has tremendous up side and is young. -
Maurice Morris, Melvin Fowler visit today
BUFFALOTONE replied to Lurker's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I take it back, Alexander is not overrated, just a little soft. He does have great ability but he has been running behind a wall for the past three seasons. And we all know the NFC is not nearly as physical as the AFC on defense. Back to my point I think we should sign Morris, cut Gates and Williams and really light a fire under Willis. What the hell is going on with Stephon Neal, are we going to sign him or wait for Arizona to make a move, there are two guard positions on ther line.Lets at least address one of them instead of sitting on our hands. -
Maurice Morris, Melvin Fowler visit today
BUFFALOTONE replied to Lurker's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agree. Morris is probably one of the best kept secrets in the NFL. He is a solid backup for who i believe to be an overrated Alexander. He is a guy who will get the tough yards. Having him and Willis we could really be a tough 1-2 punch. And it is someone who can pucs Willis' lazy a--. -

Does anyone have Kerry Collins phone number or is he bellying up to a bar somewhere. I think he would have been a better choice than a career backup. This guy went to a Super Bowl for christ sakes. Plus he probably is in the top five for arm strength in the league. Lets get a clue or draft Cutler and restart this machine. -

Reggie Wells - OL - tendered offer sheet
BUFFALOTONE replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lets all get over this, Wells is gone. I say we offer Neal a sh-- load of money, he is a young guy who could solidify that spot for a while. We are not going to get a starter in the draft unless his last name is Furgeson. Lets pay a vet some dough and get a solid proven guy in there. C'mon Marv tell Ralph to blow the dust off that check book and make a real friggin offer, if not we will be a subpar team forever. -
I have a question. How does KC have one of our picks in the first round. Or am I being a mental midget and cant remember when we made a trade or something. Someone please help me here.

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHY HE WAS DE ACTIVATED AFTER A STRONG SHOWING IN '04. -
Well we all know what this means the Jets are almost certain to take Furgeson. Looks like we are going to trade down. Bunkley anyone.

Ngata- comments on NFL Total Access
BUFFALOTONE replied to BobbyC81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bunkley is over 300 lbs. and he is muscle. Ngata is not the right guy for us. Bunkley is a specimen and we be a two way threat, not just a run stopper. -
Amen to that. Bunkley will be the better prospect and serve our new defense perfectly. Ngata is a 3-4 tackle, which we used to run. We need speed and power and Bunkley is a specimen. He will be an instant impact player. And we may even be able to trade up and get another 2nd round pick.
