  1. Perhaps the fault lies not with the crowd who doesn't get the "joke" but rather with the one who thinks it's hilarious.
  2. I assume there is some sort of inside joke most of us are not getting...
  3. And Tebow runs the spread option. I'm also pretty sure I said he was a better passer than Crouch, Rice, Peete (and most other run-first QB's) but that doesn't mean he's going to be a good pro QB. He's a decent passer, not great and not terrible.
  4. And it's actually more of a testament to Walsh's coaching skills than an indication of his scouting and personnel skills. After all, he managed to win three Super Bowls with a guy he didn't really want (Montana) and helped guide him to a HoF career.
  5. Maybe. Coaches couldn't get that instinct to run out of Vick, and coaches worked so hard to keep Losman in the pocket that now he holds the ball too long looking for a play when he should take it, tuck it and run. I agree that he's a great athlete. I'm not sold on him as a great QB. I see him as a better version of Eric Crouch, Rodney Peete, Tony Rice - he runs as well as any of them, if not better, but throws a little better, but not well enough to be considered a good passer. My opinion - when he gets to the NFL (assuming he isn't too banged up over the next year-two years) he'll either be a backup QB or they'll try to switch him, a la Crouch.
  6. It could be a bowling alley!
  7. Anyone who registers yesterday, bangs out 22 posts on his first day, says they have inside sources AND repeatedly uses the phrase "trust me" in his second topic MUST be taken at face value.
  8. First was a 1996 Red Ford Tempo, second was a 1996 Dodge Stratus.
  9. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has informed the Dallas Cowboys that cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones has been fully reinstated, making him eligible to play in the regular-season opener in Cleveland. The NFL was expected to make a formal announcement later Thursday. "It feels good man, you know, to get a second chance and I just have to take advantage of it," Jones told The Dallas Morning News. "First and foremost, I don't want to let myself down, definitely my little girl down. I'm thankful for Jerry [Jones], the fans in Dallas and my teammates for believing in me. I need to keep doing what I've been doing to get reinstated, staying with myself and my teammates and staying away from those knuckleheads and just stay focused." Earlier this month, Jones said he had sent a letter to Goodell asking to be allowed to play this season. ---- Jones Timeline Adam "Pacman" Jones has been arrested six times and involved in 12 incidents requiring police intervention since being drafted in 2005. He was suspended from February 2007 to August 2008. A quick timeline since 2007: Feb. 19, 2007: Jones is alleged to have been involved in a shooting at a Las Vegas nightclub. Jones was charged with two felony counts of coercion stemming from allegations that he threatened to kill club employees and scuffled with a bar bouncer. He was never charged in the shooting. April 10, 2007: Jones suspended by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. The suspension could be re-evaluated after the 10th regular-season game. Dec. 13, 2007: Players Association files an appeal on behalf of Jones, who has not been reinstated. April 1, 2008: Goodell says that he will have a decision on reinstating Jones prior to training camp. April 23, 2008: Jones traded to Dallas for fourth-round draft pick and a conditional pick. June 2, 2008: NFL allows Jones to participate in organized team activities, practice and preseason games. Aug. 28, 2008: Jones reinstated and may play Week 1 of 2009 season. -- ESPN.com LINK
  10. A little slow on the uptake, but you're finally catching on. Good for you. I'd check your Corolla for key marks the next time you're in C-Town...
  11. As long as we don't back into the playoffs after handing away a couple games, why not? Then again, all that matters is getting into the playoffs. Then anything can happen.
  12. IIRC the girl in the bottom picture at that link is Lucy Pinder, who is much hotter than the other girl.
  13. Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue.
  14. Patriots Sink...is that another new item available on NFLShop.com?
  15. You still suck. You can thank the Chinese gymnastics team for that.
  16. You mean the former no.1 pick who lost his starting job to a sixth-round QB?
  17. Your linky no worky - too many http's. Try this LINK.
  18. You really need to read the article. It's not as much about safety as the parents and "league attorney" are claiming. Besides, if the league structure is at all like Little League, there should be one more level he can go up before advancing to the teens and playing on the senior-level diamonds. IIRC, Little League went: 5-6 year olds - T-Ball 7-9 year-olds - Minors division 10-12 year-olds - Majors Division 13-15 year-olds - Seniors Division 16-18 year-olds - "Big League" Division The Minors and Majors divisions play on the same smaller diamond seen at the LLWS - 46' to the plate, 60' basepaths, whereas the senior division starts play on the regulation 60' 6"/90' diamond.
  19. He's supposedly throwing too hard for 8-10 year-olds. Teens and beyond would be too much of a leap.
  20. Amen. This is TSW. Trent's been on the clock ever since he was named starter.
  21. Good idea, but Kemp retired before I was born. So I gotta go with someone I saw play. Plus Thurmal is one of my all-time Bills favorites, so it's a no-brainer.
  22. Nicely put.
  23. I thought it was a Quizno's ham & cheese, not a PB&J.
  24. Guess my years of movie and TV-viewing have skewed my perception of a hit man. Even if he takes money for killing the guy's wife I don't consider Sweepy the Janitor a hit man. This is a just a guy with a crappy job who wanted to moonlight and pick up some extra cash, apparently with no regard for human life.
