  1. Man, I nearly got trampled at the Cleveland airport on Tuesday...I was trying to walk to the security entrance/ramp area and found myself in the path of a group of four business travelers, each pulling one-two bags on either side. I had no shot at getting around them - the four guys were running the equivalent of 6, 7 wide. It was a scary-looking convoy of out-of-shape pasty white guys.
  2. Laveranues?
  3. We went to the Taste of Cleveland last year and were very disappointed. Half the number of restaurants participating as what ToB offers, they charged admission ($7 for ages 12+) and the food coupons seemed expensive (I want to say around $1/coupon) and most restaurants wanted 3-4 coupons for samples. Taste of Buffalo - more participation, no admission fee, less $$ to try different foods....next year I'll try to drive back into WNY for ToB than stay in Cleveland for the ToC.
  4. It's been a while, so somebody refresh my memory - does Taste of Buffalo charge admission and then charge unreasonably high prices for the food coupons?
  5. Sometimes it's like shooting fish in a barrel for he who feasts on Crayolas...
  6. Actually it's five prime-time games this year if you count the Thursday Night game against Denver Nov. 6. They also have three MNF appearances (vs. the NY Giants, @ Buffalo and @ Philly) and one SNF game (vs. Pittsburgh.)
  7. You like to stuff things down Meriweather's gullet?
  8. Brandon Meriweather says they do.
  9. The only "announcer praying" I'll be doing this year is that the trio of NFL Network morons - Sharpe, Faulk and Deion - are nowhere near a Bills broadcast during the regular season.
  10. Maybe it was the same source Soprano kept bragging about...
  11. I'm calling for an immediate one-day ban for anyone who "corrects" that Animal House line, and a lifetime ban for repeat offenders. Seriously, enough is enough.
  12. I can't get too upset about that - UCLA has had one good season (two years ago) in the last nine and the stadium seats 91-92,000. Honestly I'm surprised they averaged 65,000/game last year. That was a fantastic finish to that game - that UCLA QB was like a completely different player in the second half.
  13. Yep, and the Jags claim Orlando as part of their market, so every time there is a Jags road game (or the rare Jags home sellout) the Orlando market gets that instead of the Dolphins, which prompts hundreds of angry calls and emails to WKMG, the local CBS affiliate. When I lived there I loved it, because if I couldn't watch the Bills I'd rather watch the Jags and not the other two in-state teams, and because it pissed off Miami fans.
  14. At least you can console yourself by watching highlights of Cliff's 20th win.
  15. Same height at Greer, lighter than McGee, according to the roster.
  16. Rediculous. Yu don't no howe too spel.
  17. I think Gustav is probably the only thing keeping it off the front page/the headline story of the others...
  18. Zack Morris would be devastated.
  19. Agreed. Though I'd take it a step further and say the life of a 17-year-old kid, even the pregnant child of a VP candidate, shouldn't be fair game anywhere - not here on this board, and not in the media. But that won't stop some. I hope he stands by that and I hope his supporters follow his lead.
  20. The first link I found was from CBS, so I kept looking... Agreed. I couldn't care less either way. As long as teens are having sex, some are going to get pregnant. They're going to keep the baby, the baby will be cared for and loved, and is not being born into a family that will neglect it, so not a big deal to me. Personally I hope this story dies a quick, silent death but we all know that it won't.
  21. ABCNews Link ST. PAUL (Reuters) - The 17-year-old daughter of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is pregnant, Palin said on Monday in an announcement intended to knock down rumors by liberal bloggers that Palin faked her own pregnancy to cover up for her child. Bristol Palin, one of Alaska Gov. Palin's five children with her husband, Todd, is about five months pregnant and is going to keep the child and marry the father, the Palins said in a statement released by the campaign of Republican presidential candidate John McCain.
  22. It's on Fox's front page as a breaking news headline. Headline reads: Breaking News >> McCain VP Pick Sarah Palin Says Teenage Daughter Is Pregnant and Will Marry Father
  23. Once Rodney hooks him up with some supplements it'll be all good...
  24. Poor Diddy. Having to fly on a regular airline instead of on his private jet. My heart bleeds for him.
  25. Maybe he refused to undergo their special "Fountain of Youth" treatments *cough* HGH *cough cough*.
